Manchester City, Juventus Await PSG Standout to Make Major Decision Over Contract
PSG have a big call to make—and clubs like Manchester City are likely paying close attention: Is Gianluigi Donnarumma still their long-term solution in goal? He's under contract through 2026, but interest from top European sides is building. Since joining from AC Milan in 2021, Donnarumma has come through in big moments—making crucial saves and coming up big in penalty shootouts—but his time in Paris hasn't been without hiccups. Advertisement There have been some high-profile errors, including the infamous mistake against Real Madrid in the 2022 Champions League, that still raise questions about his reliability under pressure. Now, with PSG headed to the Champions League final, the spotlight is squarely on him again. A strong showing could solidify his place as the club's No. 1. If not, and with his contract winding down, other clubs will be ready to make a move. Could Manchester City swoop in for PSG standout?Football Italia reported on Saturday that Donnarumma's contract is winding down. Still, despite interest from Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Juventus, and Inter Milan, he plans to meet with PSG first to discuss a new deal. Advertisement His current contract runs until June 2026, but PSG have offered him a new deal with a much lower salary than the €10 million per season he was earning after leaving Milan in 2021. In his latest column for Ensemble PSG, Robin Bairner, the chief editor at Football Transfers, wrote about Donnarumma's future and whether PSG should offer him a new contract. 'There's a debate to be had about the No.1, although that's for another day. Despite shaky shot-stopping statistics overall this season, [Donnarumma has] been statistically poorer than Matvey Safanov. 'For example, his Champions League performances suggest that he's the perfect keeper for PSG. He's shown a capacity to raise his level for the big games, which has been precious, even vital, to the team's European progress. This should be enough to see him rewarded with a new deal.'

Hansi Flick plots summer swoop for ex-Bayern Munich veteran
Hansi Flick is considering a shock free transfer move for his Barcelona squad in the ongoing summer market. On the back of winning three trophies in his debut season in charge, Flick is not looking for major changes, but he will bring in some new faces. Advertisement The swirling question marks over who will be his No.1 next season will rumble on, amid rumours of Marc-Andre ter Stegen is leaving, with Espanyol's Joan Garcia coming in. Liverpool winger Luis Diaz has dropped multiple hints over his interest in a move to Barcelona despite Arne Slot's desire to keep him on Merseyside. However, Flick could make a left-field call, with reports from Mundo Deportivo claiming he wants to bring in 36-year-old Ivan Perisic as a free agent, after missing out on him in 2024. Perisic to Barcelona: Flick's trusted lieutenant Flick has utilised his relationship with Robert Lewandowski to great effect as the pair revived their link from Bayern Munich. Advertisement Lewandowski ended the 2024/25 season with his best numbers as a Barcelona player and Flick believes Perisic could add huge experience to his squad. Ivan Perisic The Croatia international completed a move to PSV Eindhoven last summer and he netted 18 goals in all competitions as they overhauled Ajax in the Dutch Eredivisie title race. There is no indication either way that he will sign a renewal in the Netherlands and he could be tempted by joining Flick and Lewandowski in Catalonia. Ivan Perisic in 2019/20 at Bayern Munich Perisic only played one season under Flick in Munich – on loan from Inter Milan – but 2019/20 saw the pair win a Bundesliga, DFB Pokal and UEFA Champions League treble together. Advertisement The versatile winger netted eight goals and played a crucial role in Flick's set up which could be utilised at Barcelona. A move to Spain would not be as a starter, but his flexibility and goal threat could be valuable, to allow for key rests for Lamine Yamal and Raphinha.

Inter Milan Will Only Move For PSG Star If He's Available On Free Transfer Next Summer Inter Milan will only make a move for PSG keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma if it is on a free transfer next summer. This according to today's print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. Advertisement The future of Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is still uncertain. The 26-year-old's contract with PSG runs out at the end of next June. As of yet, it is far from clear whether Donnarumma and PSG will agree a new deal. Advertisement And in that case, Inter Milan would certainly be interested. The Nerazzurri's penchant for big free transfer signings is no secret. And such deals don't come much bigger than Gianluigi Donnarumma. Therefore, Inter are paying close attention to the Italy captain's situation in the French capital. However, on the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain could even look to sell Donnarumma this summer. If the 26-year-old doesn't sign a new deal, then this would be their last big chance to cash in. According to the Gazzetta, however, Inter would not move for Donnarumma in that case. They would only be interested in signing the former Milan keeper on a free transfer in twelve months' time.
