to issue a frost advisory for Southern Ontario, warning residents of potential
overnight frost
. According to the advisory, temperatures could fall to the freezing mark, especially in rural and low-lying areas vulnerable to frost.
'Temperatures are expected to drop to near the freezing mark overnight into early Friday morning,' the advisory reads. 'Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.'

Relief is on the way, with meteorologists predicting a sharp rebound in temperatures beginning Friday. Sunshine returns with a high of 16°C, kicking off what's expected to be an extended warm and sunny spell.
'Overall, it's a beautiful stretch of weather today right through to Mother's Day on Sunday, even into early next week,' said Jilly Taylor, 570's meteorologist. 'We should have plenty of sunshine. We may not get any wet weather again until Tuesday night next week.'
Highs of 22°C on Saturday, 20°C on Sunday (Mother's Day), and even 26°C on Monday are on the horizon. Some light rain could arrive by Tuesday, but the sunshine is expected to continue into Victoria Day weekend.

1 2 3 Pune: Thundershowers accompanied by strong gusty winds swept across several parts of Pune city on Friday evening, bringing respite from heat. It started to rain around afternoon and the intensity varied in different localities, with some areas experiencing only light showers. India Meteorological Department (IMD) data said Pashan recorded the highest rainfall at 19.8mm, followed by Narayangoan at 18mm and Rajgurunagar at 17.5mm.
