Justin Thomas gets emotional over wife, daughter after first win in three years
Justin Thomas choked back tears as he explained how special it was for his wife, Jillian, and daughter, Molly, to see him win the 2025 RBC Heritage in South Carolina on Sunday.
During an interview, CBS reporter Amanda Balionis mentioned that Jillian was 'just a girlfriend' and their daughter Molly 'was not here' when he won last — three years ago the PGA Championship at Southern Hills in May of 2022.
'Winning is hard, it's really, really hard,' Thomas, 31, said when Balionis asked why this victory was especially emotional for his family. 'I've worked my butt off and stayed patient, stayed positive. I got a great wife, great team, and now a great daughter,
'… I just take for granted sometimes when you get on those runs. I didn't realize how much I miss winning and battling out there today was so much fun.'
Jillian was beaming with pride as she held the couple's daughter in a portable baby carrier.

The couple, who tied the knot in November 2022, welcomed their daughter Molly Grace on Nov. 18, 2024.
Thomas sank a 21-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff with Andrew Novak to secure the victory at Harbour Town Golf Links on Sunday.
It marked his 16th win on the PGA Tour and it elevated him to No. 6 in the world.

'Just having [Molly] and Jill here, just seeing them,' Thomas said following the win. '… I had to look away because, when you're out there in the moment, you're focused on what you're doing… It's business, I'm trying to execute and do what im doing, I'm trying to win a golf tournament.
'… It's hard to not start thinking about what could be when I see them. So that's where I had to just kind of put my head down and take a deep breath because that's when I feel like I can get into, 'I want this so bad for us.''

Thomas went on to call Jill a 'rock star' for supporting him on the course.
'I would just tell her how much fun it was for us to do this as a family, I'd say,' Thomas said.

Willy Adames homered and drove in three early runs for the Giants, but they trailed 6-3 entering the eighth before coming back against reliever Tyler Kinley (0-3). Advertisement Adames, Heliot Ramos and Dominic Smith singled to load the bases with one out, and Casey Schmitt walked to bring in a run. Yastrzemski then lined a double off the right-center wall to tie it. Tyler Fitzgerald laid down a bunt against Zach Agnos, and Schmitt slid around the tag of catcher Hunter Goodman with the go-ahead run. Schmitt was initially ruled out but the call was overturned following a replay review. San Francisco added three insurance runs in the ninth on Wilmer Flores' sacrifice fly, and RBI singles by Schmitt and Yastrzemski. Goodman hit his 11th homer in the bottom half and the Rockies had two runners on when Orlando Arcia grounded back to closer Camilo Doval for the final out. Dwayne ‘The Rock' Johnson reveals frustrating gut-health issue that took him years to fix
Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had a digestive issue that he couldn't kick — and no answers in sight. Johnson, one of WWE and Hollywood's biggest stars, opened up about his health journey during a recent conversation with the man who saw him through to the other side in Dr. Mark Hyman. The 53-year-old, after years of dealing with the gut issue, had a conversation with former agent and longtime business partner Ari Emanuel about it at the end of 2023. I can't quite fix it. It's in my digestion,' Johnson said during 'The Mark Hyman Show.' 'I feel great — and that's the odd thing — but I just can't crack it.'' Emanuel, the CEO of Endeavor and WWE's parent company, TKO, mentioned seeing Hyman, who practices functional medicine. Advertisement The two eventually connected for a virtual visit. Johnson admitted he knew nothing about functional medicine, which, according to the Institute for Functional Medicine, provides a framework to systematically identify and address the underlying processes and dysfunctions that are causing imbalance and disease in each individual. 'You said, very succinctly, 'I'm not going to treat your symptoms. I'm going to go deeper than that and treat the root cause of what's going on,'' Johnson said. 'And I said, 'I love that.'' Advertisement The treatment began in early 2024, with Johnson set to begin his 'Final Boss' run to WrestleMania 40 with WWE. Getting to what was holding Johnson back took some heavy digging, Hyman noted. They did blood panels and a stool test, among other things, to get to the source of the problem. Getty Images 'That was at the beginning of 2024, and I was just getting ready to launch into what would become a nine-month workload for me — nonstop work,' Johnson said. 'And I was thinking, 'Holy s–t, how am I going to get through this with my gut issues? I'm not digesting properly.'' Advertisement Luckily, Hyman was able to provide Johnson some relief, finding the issue began after he took multiple rounds of antibiotics, which messed with the bacteria in his gut.
