69 Children, 620 Patients Dead Amid Ongoing Israeli Blockade

The Government Media Office in Gaza has released a grim update on the deepening hunger crisis in the besieged Gaza Strip, as Israel's closure of all border crossings enters its 139th consecutive day.
In a statement issued Friday, the office reported that 69 children and 620 patients have died due to severe malnutrition and lack of food and medicine, as the Israeli blockade tightens and no effective international intervention has been made to stop the worsening humanitarian disaster.
The report warned that 650,000 children are at risk of death from hunger and malnutrition, while 12,500 cancer patients are in urgent need of treatment. Additionally, 60,000 pregnant women face life-threatening conditions due to the collapse of health services and the lack of adequate nutrition.
The office also accused Israeli forces of killing 877 starving civilians at what it called 'death traps' — a reference to the so-called U.S.-Israeli aid distribution points. According to the statement, 5,666 others have been injured, and 42 people remain missing after attempting to access aid.
It further noted that aid convoys were targeted 121 times, and 57 food distribution centers and 42 community kitchens (known locally as Takiyas) have been attacked in what it described as part of Israel's 'deliberate starvation policy.'
Since the start of the current blockade, Israel has prevented the entry of 76,450 aid and fuel trucks, the office said, warning of an 'unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe' in Gaza.
The Government Media Office condemned these actions, holding Israel fully responsible for what it called war crimes, and also blamed the countries complicit through silence, direct support, or inaction.
It urged the international community and 'free nations of the world' to act immediately to end the starvation campaign and save the remaining innocent lives being exterminated in plain sight.
The office reiterated its demand to open the border crossings, lift the blockade, and allow the immediate entry of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip.

IOF Kills 20, injure 300 starving people in Northern Gaza

DaysofPal- Israeli occupation forces (IOF) killed 20 Palestinians and injured 150 others in targeted attacks on aid seekers in al-Sudaniya area of northwest Gaza, according to health officials and eyewitnesses. The shooting took place near a distribution point run by the controversial Gaza Humanitarian Foundation GHF. The area, referred to by residents, has become a recurring site of chaos and death as desperate civilians risk their lives to receive basic supplies. Eyewitnesses described the incident as a massacre, saying: 'They opened gunfire on people in a completely frenzied manner.' Medical sources confirmed that the majority of injuries were caused by live ammunition, with many victims shot in the head and chest. The Israeli military claimed that troops fired only warning shots after some individuals allegedly crossed into a designated combat zone. However, UN officials and humanitarian observers strongly dispute this account, calling the repeated violence at aid sites part of a dangerous and dehumanizing pattern. Since the GHF system was launched in late May, over 1,050 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 5,000 injured while attempting to access food and medical supplies at GHF-run distribution centers across the Gaza Strip. Rights organizations have described the GHF model as a 'kill zone,' accusing Israel of using starvation and aid as tools of warfare. International criticism of Israeli atrocities at the aid distribution points continues to mount as UN agencies, humanitarian groups, and foreign governments have demanded an immediate overhaul of the aid delivery mechanism, warning that civilians are being systematically endangered. The growing death toll has intensified calls for an independent investigation into what many see as war crimes. Philippe Lazzarini, head of UNRWA, has warned that such models of aid distribution are creating 'dystopian and deadly environments' and has urged an urgent return to safe, neutral aid corridors. The Gaza Strip remains under total blockade and heavy bombardment for the 658th consecutive day. With widespread famine, collapsed healthcare, and escalating violence at aid sites, humanitarian officials warn that Gaza's crisis is rapidly surpassing even the bleakest projections. Gaza Baby Formula Crisis Threatens 100,000 Infants

DaysofPal — Over 100,000 children in the Gaza Strip, including 40,000 infants under the age of one, are facing imminent death due to a total absence of baby formula and nutritional supplements, the Government Media Office in Gaza warned on Saturday. In a grim statement, the office described the crisis as a 'massacre in slow motion,' blaming Israel's ongoing blockade and closure of all border crossings for intentionally starving the territory's youngest and most vulnerable. 'Mothers have been forced to feed their babies only water for days,' the statement read, adding that hospitals and health centers are reporting a sharp rise in cases of acute and life-threatening malnutrition. According to health officials, at least 122 people — including 83 children — have died from starvation and malnutrition amid the collapse of Gaza's medical infrastructure and severe shortages of essential food items. Calling the crisis 'a shocking warning issued in the name of humanity and global conscience,' the media office demanded the immediate and unconditional opening of all crossings, urgent entry of baby formula and supplements, and a swift international response to halt what it called a 'deliberate extermination campaign against children.' The statement also held the Israeli government and its international allies 'fully responsible for a looming crime against humanity,' warning that the continued global silence constitutes 'explicit complicity in the genocide of Gaza's children.' Since Israel launched its military offensive on Gaza on October 7, 2023, more than 59,700 Palestinians have been killed — the majority women and children. The bombardment has devastated the enclave, collapsed its healthcare system, and triggered mass hunger. In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing war crimes and crimes against humanity. Israel also faces a separate genocide case at the International Court of Justice. Shortlink for this post:

9 Palestinians die of Starvation, UN Warns Gaza Out of Children Lifesaving Food

DaysofPal-The health ministry in Gaza reported on Thursday that nine more people died over the past 24 hours due to famine and malnutrition, underscoring the speed at which the humanitarian crisis is deepening. The announcement, made via the ministry's Telegram channel, marks a chilling milestone in what aid groups are calling a completely preventable humanitarian disaster. Moreover, the United Nations has issued a grave warning that Gaza will run out of the specialized therapeutic food needed to treat severely malnourished children by mid-August, placing thousands of lives at immediate risk. According to UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO), stocks of Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food RUTF, a nutrient-rich paste used to treat severe acute malnutrition, are critically low. They added that the current supplies are only sufficient to treat around 3,000 children, while over 5,000 were already treated in the first half of July alone. 'If new supplies do not reach Gaza urgently, we will not be able to save the lives of the children who need this food most,' a UNICEF official warned. Since April, more than 20,500 children have been diagnosed with acute malnutrition in Gaza, with at least 3,247 suffering from its most life-threatening form, and between April and May, the number of SAM cases nearly tripled, while hunger-related deaths have surged, including at least 83 children among the 122 total deaths recorded so far, according to Gaza's Health Ministry. The crisis has escalated sharply due to tight Israeli restrictions on the entry of humanitarian aid. Humanitarian agencies describe the situation as a man-made catastrophe, exacerbated by months of blockade, the collapse of Gaza's healthcare system, and the ongoing war that began in October 2023. Nearly 100,000 women and children are now in urgent need of life-saving nutritional treatment. If aid corridors are not immediately reopened, aid groups fear a wave of preventable child deaths in the coming weeks. The WHO also reported that essential nutrition programs for pregnant women and children under five are now on the brink of collapse due to the depletion of basic supplements and medical supplies. 'This is not just a health emergency; it is a moral one,' said a WHO spokesperson. 'Children are dying not because of disease, but because food and medicine are being blocked.' He added. Humanitarian officials are urgently calling for immediate and unrestricted access for aid convoys into all parts of Gaza, replenishment of therapeutic food stocks, particularly RUTF, a lasting ceasefire, and protection of humanitarian workers and facilities. They added that without swift action, agencies warn that Gaza could witness a full-scale famine among its youngest and most vulnerable, a preventable tragedy unfolding in real time.
