Ngamba out of pro debut because of 'medical issue'
Olympian Cindy Ngamba has been withdrawn from her professional debut on medical grounds and will not feature on Friday's all-female card in London.The 26-year-old bronze medallist was scheduled to face Kirstie Bavington in a light-middleweight contest at the Royal Albert Hall.Cameroon-born Ngamba made history at last year's Paris Olympics as the first member of the Refugee Olympic Team to win a medal."Cindy Ngamba will not be making her professional debut on Friday night after a pre-fight medical examination revealed an issue requiring further investigations", promoters Boxxer said."The health and safety of fighters remains the highest priority, and Cindy will undergo further tests in the coming days."Boxxer told BBC Sport it will not be making any further comment on the nature of the withdrawal.UK-based Ngamba signed a "multi-fight" promotional deal with Boxxer earlier this year.Friday's card will be headlined by welterweight world champion Natasha Jonas' unification fight against fellow Briton Lauren Price.WBC lightweight champion Caroline Dubois will defend her title against Bo Mi Re Shin in the chief support.

'Playing a doubles match with Katie will hopefully give me a good feel for that surface and it will be positive,' the 22-year-old said. 'I really like playing with Katie. We've practised a few times together in the past at Billie Jean King Cup ties.'

Paris Saint-Germain star Gianluigi Donnarumma has been linked with a sensational summer switch to Manchester United and his agent has already offered his thoughts on a switch Gianluigi Donnarumma's agent has already dismissed one potential rival to Manchester United by ruling out a switch to Napoli. The Italian goalkeeper faces an uncertain future with European champions Paris Saint-Germain. He has just a year left on his deal with the French giants and despite PSG chiefs attempting to tie him down, an agreement has yet to be found. That has opened the door to United, rivals Manchester City and Real Madrid. Reports have also suggested that that Donnarumma has been discussing the prospect of a move to the Premier League with his Italian teammates. Meanwhile, Donnarumma's agent Enzo Raiola has already denied that talks have been held with Serie A champions Napoli, who were also credited with an interest. Speaking to Radio CRC via Calciomercato, he said: "It's pure fantasy. I've an excellent relationship with Director Giovanni Manna at [Napoli], but we've never discussed Gigio. "It's an obvious question; many would like him, but only a few can afford him. He feels good in Paris, we're at the European champion club, so we have no complaints. We are working on a renewal [with PSG]." He added: "His mother is a huge Napoli fan, and she gets anxious watching their games. Gigio is connected to that.' Another side who have been linked with Donnarumma is former club AC Milan. The 26-year-old originally left the club to complete a free transfer to PSG in 2021. And Raiola has claimed that he would be open to a return to the San Siro. He said: 'I have never ruled out interest from the top Italian clubs, but there has never been a negotiation, let's see. He is still young, I have to squeeze him for at least another 10 years. 'At the moment, however, it is very difficult to see Donnarumma in the Italian championship, I'm not just talking about numbers but also about the sporting project. In Italy, beyond Inter who reached the Champions League final, there are Milan and Juve who are struggling, they are in the process of reorganizing: these factors are fundamental. "A return to Milan? Postecoglou was sacked by Spurs on Friday, just 16 days after leading the club to their first trophy in 17 years by winning the Europa League. "Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the Club's greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph. It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond." Frank immediately emerged as a leading contender for the vacancy and the Sun are now reporting that he is close to becoming Tottenham's new manager. It is claimed that Frank has agreed to join and Levy now needs to agree a compensation package with Brentford. Frank took over at Brentford in 2018 and has established the Bees in the top-flight after guiding them to promotion in 2021. As a result, the Dane has consistently been linked with vacancies at other clubs and was among the contenders for the Manchester United job last year. When asked about the links with United, Frank told the Sports Agents podcast: "I am probably at one of the best clubs in the world. End of discussion. In terms of alignment, leadership, culture, everything. Why should I ever leave this place? "Things can happen and you can want new inspiration, maybe you find another inspiration at your club and you stay. For sure, if I ever got the offer to go to a big club and I decided to go there, it would probably not make my life better. "I think we all know that. Maybe it is a challenge you need to try. It is not something I am thinking about. I have sacrificed a lot throughout my life to reach where I am now. I missed my children's birthdays for five years in a row. "I have been working 60, 70 hours a week for the last 30 years. You don't know how it would be if you walked into another job. Maybe it will be even better than it is here? "I don't know that and I am just looking at the exposure on certain managers. I don't think that is part of the football they love. I am happy here. What will happen in the future will happen and we will take it from there."
