Nine people have died in a blast at an explosives factory near the Brazilian city of Curitiba, in southern Paraná state, emergency officials say. The explosion happened on Tuesday morning local time when a number of people were on shift in the factory.Seven people were injured and emergency personnel with sniffer dogs searched for the nine missing workers, but given the devastating damage at the site, Paraná's security minister later announced that there was "no longer any hope of finding survivors".The company that owns the factory, Enaex, said it was investigating what could have caused the explosion.
The blast in Quatro Barras, near the state capital, Curitiba, happened just before 06:00 local time (09:00 GMT).Residents from nearby towns reported being woken up by the sound. A firefighter said that the blast had opened up a crater at the site.Enaex makes explosives for civilian purposes used in construction and mining.The firm expressed its condolences to the families of the victims and said it would work with the relevant authorities to clarify what had caused the explosion.The local authorities said that the firm had all the necessary licences to operate at the site, where it had been operating for five decades.

"Then, the power of social media kicked in and within a few hours, the leads started to roll in," NNPMRT said.A number of sightings of a man earlier in the week pulling and carrying a trolley were confirmed in Wooler, Hethpool and then on the Pennine Way over Auchope Cairn, the team was also suggested the trolley had broken and that the scrawled message was "cart broken" and not a person's said the "real breakthrough" came in the evening when a local builder confirmed he had given a walker a lift from near Kidlandlee to Alnwick and a shop in the town confirmed a man had been in to buy a both cases, the walker mentioned he had ditched his trolley in the before 19:00, officers confirmed the man had been traced and was eager to have his trolley and its contents back."Whilst the incident was wholly avoidable, we are very glad the walker is safe," NNPMRT said. Emergency services swarmed the Crown Heights area in Brooklyn shortly after 3:30am after multiple reports of gunfire, police confirmed. 2 2 Seven victims were found at 903 Franklin Ave after the shooting and airlifted to hospital, police told The Sun. Their conditions are yet to be confirmed. Footage from the scene shows police lights flashing as ambulances rush down the street. Witnesses said on social media a police cordon has been put in place with "crime tape stretched for blocks". The New York Police Department have urged residents to avoid the area while investigations are ongoing. Officers have been reviewing CCTV footage from the area and are interviewing witnesses to try and piece together the shooting. Investigators are urging anyone with any information to come forward. .

An investigation is set to begin after a fire which saw flames and smoke rising from the top floor of a domestic property in Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) said it was called to Egmont Road at about 19:00 BST on Saturday, with about six fire engines in attendance at the height of the residents were advised to close windows and doors and members of the public were asked to avoid the area while crews worked at the said Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended. A fire service spokesperson said crews had since left.
