Woman hit by train in Abilene, witnesses say she ran out of vehicle onto tracks

ABILENE, Texas () –A woman was hit by a train in Abilene Tuesday morning, and witnesses say she ran out of her vehicle onto the tracks.
The incident happened on the tracks near N 1st Street and Willis Street just before 10:30 a.m.
Witnesses told KTAB and KRBC this woman was driving the wrong way (westbound in the eastbound lanes) down N 1st Street when she pulled over into a business parking lot and ran out of her vehicle and onto the tracks, into the path of an oncoming train.
KTAB and KRBC did observe her body covered on the ground at the scene.
First responders say they are aware of this woman's identity and need to notify her next of kin. She does have a known history of mental illness.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WHTM) — Three people were shot overnight at a Pennsylvania bar, police said. This happened at a sports bar in the 1100 block of Airport Road in Allentown around 2 a.m. Sunday. Allentown Police said they were called for a report of shots fired and found a man injured. Two other victims were taken to area hospitals, police said. All are expected to survive, police said. As officers were investigating, police said they saw a man discard a firearm under a nearby vehicle. That man — Javian Anthony Sabater, 24, of Bethlehem — was charged with persons not to possess a firearm and tampering with evidence. Police are investigating and there is no danger to the community.
