Abuser Joel Deering - played by Calum Lill - will be making one more shock appearance - despite being dead.
An insider told us: 'Calum has been back filming and viewers will be seeing him on screen again soon.
'He might be dead but there is lots more to say about that murder and he is likely to be involved in some flashback scenes.'
Last year Joel had been primed for justice with a lengthy prison spell awaiting him - but instead the powers that be and a crowbar put paid to that.
The character was killed on September 27, and his body was later discovered in a river.
It sparked a huge mystery about who was behind it and viewers watched for months, desperate to see who was behind it.
It was later revealed that Lauren Bolton had killed Joel by hitting him with a rock after he tried to strangle her boyfriend, Max Turner.
Max ended up taking the blame, but feeling guilty and concerned about Max's welfare, Lauren confided in Shona Platt, who alerted David Platt to the situation.
The police were then brought in, and Lauren admitted to DC Kit Green that she was the one who had delivered the fatal blow to Joel.
Some viewers believed Joel was wrapped in a body bag when he was found, but soap expert Sharon Marshall has put those theories to rest.
Coronation Street airs evil Joel Deering's final scenes as he skips court and threatens Roy Cropper
The 'Queen of Soaps' from This Morning took to social media, clarifying: "Ok., to answer this one.., Joel was not in a body bag!"
She shared a screenshot of the moment Joel's body was discovered, adding: "He was face down, his jacket wet, and it was a trick of the light that made a rock look like his head… Joel IS dead. There is no extra twist coming."

Netflix viewers race to watch 'mesmerising' drama based on true story

It looks like Netflix subscribers are discovering a Sheridan Smith crime drama that first aired on ITV in 2012, based on a shocking true crime story. Mrs Biggs is climbing up the streamer's ranking of the platform's top 10 TV shows – making a convincing argument for a late summer binge watch. Sheridan Smith – who has so many British dramas to her name it can be easy to let one slip – stars in this five-part drama, which is based on the true story of the Great Train Robbery. The drama focuses on the relationship between Charmian, played by Smith, and her husband Ronnie Biggs, played by Daniel Mays. It follows everything from their first lovestruck meeting and the fateful 1963 train heist, to its aftermath and their eventual divorce in 1976, after Biggs fathered a child in Brazil. We see the petty crook meet his soon-to-be wife on, of all places, a train. 'The future is full of possibilities,' he tells her. 'The past will only drag you down.' With that, the Biggs couple set off on a crime spree before they eventually decide to settle down for a quiet married life. That is, until the 'one last job' pops up in the chance to join the train robbers. Biggs's ex-wife Charmian was also a consultant on the show. The show's writer and executive producer Jeff Pope said he wanted to set out a romantic tale, rather than a romanticised one. 'We show Ron as perhaps a little too wilfully optimistic and Charmian is the cold voice of reason throughout. It absolutely would be a danger of a piece like this to romanticise it,' he told The Guardian. 'It will get laughed out of court if it's a slushfest. In the first episode, they steal, he strikes her, we acknowledge the fact he had a criminal record; further down the line, Charmian has an abortion by another man. We don't pull back, we don't flinch.' In 1963, millions were robbed from a Royal Mail train en route to London from Glasgow. With the help of inside information, the gang of crooks toyed with the train signal system to get the train to stop so they could board. £2.61million was nabbed, which was worth about £62million in 2023. Most of the cash was never recovered. The gang hid at a farm after the robbery, but police found the spot, including a Monopoly board they had used which was covered in incriminating fingerprints. The evidence led to the eventual arrest and conviction of most of the gang. Praised at the time of its release for the quality of the acting and the excitement of the episodes, TV viewers have shared their positive reception over the years, as Mrs Biggs has been available on ITVX as well as Netflix. Taking to X, @AshWoody90 praised: 'Mrs Biggs on Netflix, possibly one the best things I have ever watched.' @elliot_gonzalez commended the creative partnership between the show's writer and star, writing: 'Jeff Pope and Sheridan Smith should always work together. Mrs Biggs, The Widower, Cilla and now The Moorside. All outstanding work.' More Trending @TVChatty wrote: 'All week I've been watching Mrs Biggs on ITV3. Why did I not watch it first time? Fantastic story and great acting. Really enjoyed it.' @lizcurran echoed: 'Sheridan Smith is wonderful in Mrs Biggs – she is one of my favourite actors. Utterly mesmerising – always.' The show aired just one day before what would have been his 56th birthday. ‌ The actor, who is highly known for his iconic character Chandler Bing in the American sitcom Friends, died at the age of 54 after drowning in his hot tub following a dose of ketamine on October 28, 2023. ‌ The hour-long film lifts the lid on Matthew Perry's personal battles with trauma and inner torment. The programme also explores an addiction so relentless it shaped every chapter of Matthew's life. It comes after David Beckham speaks 'as a father' in 'family' announcement after latest Brooklyn snub. With exclusive interviews with journalists, celebrity friends and law enforcement, the documentary also includes excerpts of Matthew's 2022 autobiographical memoir, Friends, Lovers And The Big Terrible Thing, in which he recalled his rise to fame and his lifelong battle with alcohol and drugs. After watching the emotional show, fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to express their emotions. One viewer wrote: 'This Matthew Perry documentary is heartbreaking', while another added: 'The world is missing a beautiful, funny and caring man. I can't believe he passed away almost 2 years ago. We miss you, Matty'. A third wrote: 'Matthew Perry: A Hollywood Tragedy, is so sad. He seemed like such a great human', while another penned: 'Watching the sad tale of our FRIENDS Matthew Perry. Born on 19 August 1969, Matthew Langford Perry spent his childhood in Ottawa, Canada, following his parents' separation. He was brought up primarily by his mother, Suzanne, a journalist who went on to work as press secretary for former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. Meanwhile, his father, American actor John Bennett Perry, pursued a career in Hollywood, making their relationship difficult and often distant. The physical separation and John's growing success meant father and son saw little of each other in Matthew's early years. Matthew had his first alcoholic drink when he was just 14 years old. During an interview with Canadian broadcaster Tom Power, he opened up on the pivotal moment and how it sparked a decades-long battle. 'I drank the entire bottle and just felt better than I ever had in my entire life,' he said at the time. 'I thought to myself this is probably what normal people feel like all the time.'
