In 2021, the pictures of Chansley, adorned in a fur Viking horned headdress and red, white, and blue face paint, became a defining image of the Capitol riot.
Four years on, Chansley's support of the president seems to be over.

Chansley posted a flurry of fiery tweets about Trump, including one that has since been deleted under a Trump post featuring his mugshot.
The tweet, which read 'F*** this stupid piece of s***... What a fraud,' was shared by X account Faketriots Watch.
Chansley then turned his attention to Hollywood star and Trump supporter James Woods.
'Did you go to Epstein Island too James? Cuz I am beginning to look closer...Didn't your house survive the LA fires too? Nothing about Epstein? You're not holding Trump accountable...I know the routine James...I try to give people their privacy...But I'm gonna let you cook…,' Chansley wrote to the Once Upon a Time in America star.
The one-time Trump superfan was sentenced to 41 months in prison in November 2021 after he was seen storming the Senate dais, taking selfies in a seat that Vice President Mike Pence had occupied an hour earlier, and scribbling 'It's Only A Matter of Time. Justice Is Coming!' on a piece of paper left on the desk.
'Mike Pence is a f***ing traitor,' he said during the raid.
Chansley then called other rioters up to the dais and led them in an incantation over his bullhorn, according to the Department of Justice.
He was released to a halfway house in 2023. Two years later, Trump pardoned Chansley along with over 1,500 others involved in the rioting that day.
In 2021, his support for the president wavered when he offered to testify against Trump, stating that he was one of the many individuals incited by the then-former president's actions and rhetoric at The Ellipse on January 6.

Lauren Boebert's son charged with child abuse in incident she described as a ‘miscommunication'
Rep. Lauren Boebert's son has been charged with child abuse following an incident involving her grandson that she described as a 'miscommunication.' Tyler Boebert, 20, the eldest son of the MAGA congresswoman, was cited for criminal negligence where no death or injury occurred, which is a misdemeanor, for the July 11 incident, according to Windsor Police Department records obtained by Denver Westword. Authorities have not yet shared details about the incident, which the 38-year-old congresswoman brushed off as 'a miscommunication on monitoring my young grandson that recently led to him getting out of the house.' In a statement, the congresswoman described her son's legal trouble as a 'one-time incident,' noting there was 'no injury or physical abuse involved.' Child Protective Services met with the family, the congresswoman added. Despite this, it's not the first run-in with the law for the congresswoman's 20-year-old son, whose girlfriend became pregnant with his child when he was just 17. In September of 2022, Tyler Boebert flipped his father's SUV into a creek, leaving the person in his passenger seat with multiple concussions and a severely lacerated hand. He was ticketed for careless driving. The case was eventually dropped down to a 'defective vehicle for headlights' ticket under a plea deal. Then, in January 2024, he called the police to report that his father, Jayson, was assaulting him, leading to his arrest. During the incident, the father 'pushed Tyler to the ground and pushed his thumb into his mouth,' according to the arrest affidavit. A month later, Tyler was slapped with more than a dozen felony charges for a series of thefts from vehicles – and for using stolen credit cards at local gas stations. Tyler Boebert pleaded guilty last October to a single charge of attempting to commit identity theft and was given a two-year deferred judgment, allowing his felony to be cleared from his record after completing his 24-month probation term. He was required to complete 80 hours of community service and was banned from using controlled substances. It was not immediately clear whether the most recent citation would be a breach of his probation. He is due in Weld County Court on September 8.

"And over the last short period of time, they had 18, ok, cause it's driving them loco. It's driving them crazy. "Now windmills will not come, it's not going to happen in the US. It's very expensive." 'Festival of resistance' A "FESTIVAL of resistance The protest at The White Horse Inn, Balmedie, Aberdeen, is close to the Trump International Scotland golf resort. And organisers said they object to it receiving £180,000 of public funding for the Nexo Championship next month. Organiser of Stop Trump Scotland, Alena Ivanova, said: "As Donald Trump is expected to arrive at his Aberdeenshire golf course, residents and protesters are gathering in Balmedie from 3pm to continue the festival of resistance. The US President said: "I mean, today, I'm playing the best course I think in the world, Turnberry - even though I own it, it's probably the best course in the world, right - and I look over the horizon and I see nine windmills right at the end of the 18th hole. "And I said, 'Isn't that a shame? What a shame.' "You have the same thing all over, all over Europe in particular. You have windmills all over the place. "Some of the countries prohibit it, but... people ought to know, these windmills are very destructive. "They're environmentally- just the exact opposite, because the environmentalists, they're not really environmentalists, they're political hacks. "These are people that... they almost want to harm the country. I'm playing the best course I think in the world, Turnberry... and I look over the horizon and I see nine windmills. And I said, 'Isn't that a shame?' President Donald Trump "But you look at these beautiful landscapes all over the world... many countries have gotten smart and they will not allow it. They will not. "It is the worst form of energy, the most expensive form of energy, but windmills should not be allowed." It comes before the American leader is set to be pushed by Sir Keir Starmer on how to end the starvation of kids in Gaza. Earlier today, Mr Trump teed off on his second round in Turnberry after landing on Friday night, accompanied by a massive security team. Meanwhile, anti-Trump rallies across Scotland were mounted in Aberdeen and Edinburgh on Saturday as the American leader enjoyed a round of golf at his luxury Ayrshire resort. The US President landed in Scotland in a party mood after revealing his plans for a trade deal celebration with the Prime Minister and First Minister John Swinney. Mr Trump said: "We're going to do a little celebrating because we get along very well." He was welcomed by Scottish Secretary Ian Murray before being whisked to his luxury Turnberry resort 20 miles down the Ayrshire coast.
