Jessica Simpson's Ex Eric Johnson ‘May Want to Defend Himself' After She Takes ‘Brutal Shots' in New Song

The split gets nastier! The lyrics in Jessica Simpson's new song 'Leave' are about an unfaithful partner, leading fans to speculate that the singer, 44, is hinting at what went down with her estranged husband Eric Johnson, 45. (Jessica, who announced their split after 10 years of marriage in January, called her album 'an apology to myself for putting up with everything I did not deserve,' in an Instagram post.)
'She's taking some really brutal shots,' a source exclusively tells Life & Style. 'She doesn't name him, but everyone is convinced she's singing about Eric. But if she's going to make him the villain in this public war, he may want to defend himself — and there are always two sides to every story.'
Jessica previously said she was going through 'the deepest heartbreak of [her] life' when she was writing songs for her new album, Nashville Canyon: Part 1. 'It was the most intense yet enlightening therapy I've ever been through,' the singer told The Cut. Now, after hearing her single 'Leave,' some are convinced Jessica, 44, dropped a major clue as to why their 10-year marriage ended. 'What we had was magic / Now you made it tragic / Giving her what you gave to me / Now the well that you drank from's empty,' she sings before referencing a lover's 'unholy matrimony' on the track. 'Did you do to her what you did to me? / Was she on her knees? / Oh, she's everything but me.'
The fiery song sparked speculation that Eric had been unfaithful, and while Jessica has yet to address the cheating rumors, she did take to Instagram to thank fans for supporting the tune. 'I urge everyone to allow yourselves to be empowered by heartbreak, to never stay quiet with your needs and to always know that love should demand respect,' she wrote.

Over 300 Pieces of Princess Diana's Dresses, Handbags, and More Are Heading to Auction

There have been many Princess Diana-related auctions held over the years—Lady Di herself auctioned off than 79 of her dresses at Christie's in 1997, in fact—but the sale taking place at Julien's Auction later this month may be the biggest yet. The auction house claims the event will include the largest collection of the late royal's fashion to ever go under the hammer. Taking place at the Peninsula Beverly Hills on June 26, Princess Diana's Style & A Royal Collection will spotlight more than 300 extraordinary items of royal provenance. Included in the lots are some of the most memorable dresses, suits, and accessories ever worn by the Princess of Wales—many of which have never before appeared at auction, according to Julien's. More from Robb Report From Pappy Van Winkle to Macallan: An Epic Single-Owner Whiskey Collection Is Heading to Auction Art Dealer Barbara Gladstone's Elegant Manhattan Row House Lists for $12 Million Airstream's Newest Luxury Trailer Feels Like a Frank Lloyd Wright Home Inside Diana became a style icon soon after being thrust into the spotlight in the 1980s due to her high-profile relationship with Prince Charles. Her fashion evolved from modest and traditional to elegant and bold as she navigated her life in the public eye. She worked with many different designers, as illustrated by the diverse pieces on offer at Julien's. One of the auction highlights is a silk floral day dress designed by Belville Sassoon (pictured top). Expected to fetch between $100,000 and $200,000, the frock was a staple in Diana's wardrobe and was donned for many official visits and public appearances. It was actually dubbed the Caring Dress, as the princess often wore it to see patients in hospitals, according to designer David Sassoon. Another standout is a custom cream evening gown that Catherine Walker designed for Diana for her 1986 royal tour of Saudi Arabia. The elegant gown, which is expected to hammer down for between $200,000 and $300,000, features a high neckline and long Guinevere-style point sleeves to accommodate local dressing customs. At the other, more daring end of the spectrum is a two-piece Bruce Oldfield set that Lady Di wore to Royal Ascot in 1987. Oldfield began designing for the princess in the mid-1980s with more daring fashions, leading the press to dub her 'Dynasty-Di.' This silk ensemble carries a pre-sale estimate of $100,000 to $200,000. Accessories will abound at the auction, too. Highlights include Lady Di's stylish John Boyd hat (estimate: $20,000 to $40,000) and her coveted Lady Dior lambskin handbag (estimate: $20,000 to $30,000). That is just a taste of 300 rarities on offer. 'Princess Diana's legacy lives on not only through her humanitarian work but also in the timeless elegance of her style, which continues to inspire the world,' Martin Nolan, cofounder and executive director of Julien's Auctions, said in a statement. 'This unprecedented collection offers collectors and admirers a rare opportunity to own a piece of royal history and pay tribute to one of the most beloved figures of our time.' In keeping with Diana's philanthropic spirit, a portion of the proceeds from the auction will benefit Muscular Dystrophy UK. Bidding and registration are now open online. The live auction will take place in the Peninsula's Verandah Ballroom, with guests served Champagne and the hotel's signature afternoon tea, naturally. Click to see photos of the key auction lots. Giambattista Valli Resort 2026 Collection

Morocco is woven into Giambattista Valli's language 'as an obsession,' he said. For resort, Marrakesh's influence descended from the heights of last season's couture, reinterpreted in a breezier, more laidback register. Think a palette of spicy reds and saffrons, and printed profusions of roses and bougainvilleas as if plucked straight from a garden. Steeped in the kind of jet-set wanderlust he excels at, the collection offered (momentary) escapism with its feet (lightly) planted. Said Valli: 'Who could fault the longing for a breath of beauty in a world that feels increasingly harsh?' Valli has always been a believer in the power of grace, and in beauty rooted not in trends but in personal conviction. For him, style is less about chasing the moment and more about embodying something timeless. 'People are afraid of the idea of classic, harmonious beauty—they think it's uncool, dusty, passé,' he observed with a shrug. But he's rather unbothered by fashion's fleeting flirtations, and remains steadfast in his vision. This collection is a case in point, striking a balance between romance and realism. Long, fluid dresses had beautifully draped bodices; lace slip dresses were edged with delicate capelet sleeves; and boho flounced frocks floated with asymmetrical whimsy. Interwoven with these billowy silhouettes were svelte minidresses and tailored short suits rendered in light fabrics, anchored by embroidered babouches and crocheted tarbooshes, lending just a dash of eccentric charm. It was Valli making the case for chic pragmatism, unafraid to mix the dreamy with the grounded.

Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker survives Flagstaff 'ambush' by kids, praised for act of kindness

Devin Booker seems to always find time for young fans. Even when golfing. An Instagram post is circulating of the Phoenix Suns star recently stopping in a golf cart in Flagstaff to give some young fans some attention, many of whom were wearing his jersey. Advertisement The video included the caption: "So this happened yesterday……. I got to watch these kiddos meet their idol, a moment that just sticks with you. The pure joy on their faces was like actual magic!! "And Devin… what a class act. He was so kind, patient he's an absolute gem of a human. Also, sorry for the mid-golf ambush Boook." This isn't the first time Booker has made some children's day (or year) with an act of kindness. In April, he bought golf balls from some children in Flagstaff, apparently working on his golf game some more in the cooler weather. And just a day prior to that, he stopped to purchase lemonade at some children's lemonade stand in the Valley. No wonder Booker is loved in Phoenix.
