I purchased this three-port adapter a few months ago as a space-saving travel tech solution since I didn't want to pack the respective chargers for my laptop, AirPods and phone. I wish I had waited, because it's currently $14 off. This is the lowest it's been. Ever.
Why do I need this? 🤔
If, like me, you'd rather pack (and charge) smarter, this Anker three-port charger is just what you need. It has two USB-C ports (one for your laptop and the other for your phone) and one USB-A port for charging any other device you may have, like AirPods or even a smartwatch.
I've tried a couple of other three-port chargers in the past, and the charging time on those often lagged when I added more devices. With this one, they all charged pretty quickly, and that's because this adapter has a fast-charging feature that gives all three connected devices a boost. The brand says that power is distributed efficiently between the ports to ensure you get the best charge. After using this myself for months, I can say that Anker kept its word.
The charger is thoughtfully designed and doesn't take up more space than needed when plugged into a power strip. For comparison, you know how the MacBook Pro charger is so bulky that it can block another outlet opening? Since this one is slim and upright, it only takes up one space, leaving the others free for other devices.

That might be coming soon, as we've spotted early signs of audio file support in the Gemini app for Android. ⚠️ An APK teardown helps predict features that may arrive on a service in the future based on work-in-progress code. However, it is possible that such predicted features may not make it to a public release. In version of the Google app beta, we managed to activate a new file attachment feature when chatting with Gemini. You can now attach audio files like MP3s, and when you do, Gemini shows a new suggestion: 'Talk live about this.' That sounds promising, but it doesn't actually work yet. After uploading an audio file, you can either type a regular question or choose to 'talk live' about it. In both cases, Gemini doesn't seem to understand or respond to the file in any meaningful way. Sometimes it ignores the audio entirely. Other times, it confidently makes things up, as seen in the third screenshot below, but chatbot hallucinations aren't exclusive to audio files or Gemini. Still, it's not hard to see where this is going. On the developer side, Gemini already supports audio input through the API. You can feed it audio and ask it to describe what it hears, summarize it, or transcribe what's being said. It even handles timestamp requests like 'from 2:30 to 3:29,' and works with formats like MP3, WAV, and FLAC. That's likely what Google is building toward on the Android app — we're just not there yet. For now, it's more like a placeholder than a finished feature, and there's also no guarantee when or if it will launch. Google Home can't catch a break, as Routines widget vanishes
TL;DR One of the widgets offered by the Google app has been a shortcut for accessing your Home Routines. In the latest Google app beta, the Routine widget is no longer available. This loss arrives right in the middle of a growing period of Google Home frustration. If you're interested in putting together a particularly impressive smart home setup, Google Home's Routines are probably your best friend. While getting them configured can take a minute, especially if they involve dozens of devices (like all your lights), once established Routines make it a snap to trigger complex actions with just a single command. So far, Google has offered Home users a handy shortcut for controlling all those Routines in the form of a desktop widget. While it doesn't let you activate Routines directly from your home screen, it does offer a quick way to jump that list. Old list of widgets Old Routines widget New list without Routines While it could certainly be more full-featured, that was still a nice option to have, which is why we're a little concerned to see Google take it away. While looking through the latest beta release of the Google app for Android, we noticed that where the app used to offer four widgets and one shortcut, that count has now dropped to three — and it's the Routines widget that doesn't make the cut. Honestly, losing this isn't going to be the end of the world, but more than anything, maybe we're just disappointed about how this removal looks in the context of the ongoing frustrations surrounding Google Home. It really doesn't feel like it would have been that much more effort to give us a new-and-improved Routines widget with direct access to our most-used ones, but rather than be bothered to do that, Google just seems to be abandoning the whole thing. It's possible that that Google really does have a new version of this tool waiting in the wings — but then why not coordinate its debut to coincide with retiring the old look? We're also holding out hope that this is just some kind of beta oversight that may not show up in the final, public release of this build.
