Israel kills IRGC intelligence chief in targeted strike
Shafaq News/ Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed on Sunday evening the killing of Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, the head of its Intelligence Organization, in an Israeli airstrike.
According to a statement published by Iran's Tasnim News Agency, Kazemi was killed alongside two senior intelligence commanders, Hassan Mohaqqeq and Mohsen Baqeri, in what the IRGC described as a targeted Israeli strike on a residential area.
In direct response to the killings, the IRGC's Aerospace Force launched a new wave of missile attacks targeting Israeli intelligence centers, as part of the ongoing True Promise 3 operation. 'These focused and retaliatory operations will continue until the Zionist entity is eliminated,' the IRGC warned, adding that international supporters of Israel would also be held accountable if the escalation continues.
The statement framed the latest missile strikes as part of a broader phase in Iran's retaliatory campaign, which Tehran says is aimed at dismantling Israel's military and intelligence infrastructure.
The confrontation between Israel and Iran escalated dramatically on June 13, when Israel launched a surprise wave of airstrikes on Iranian territory, targeting nuclear and military facilities. That attack killed multiple high-ranking IRGC figures, including Major General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, head of the IRGC's Aerospace Force.
Iran responded within hours, launching a sustained barrage of ballistic missiles and drones that struck military and civilian sites deep inside Israel. The exchange marked the most direct and intense confrontation between the two countries to date.
Since then, both sides have engaged in military operations, with Israel targeting strategic Iranian infrastructure and leadership, while Iran has expanded its missile campaign and issued repeated warnings to Israel and its allies.
The death of Kazemi, who oversaw the IRGC's internal intelligence, security operations, and counter-espionage programs, adds to a growing list of top Iranian commanders killed in precision Israeli strikes over the past week. The IRGC has vowed continued retaliation.

Iraq calls for adopting peaceful solution to stop Israel's aggression
Baghdad ( – The Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, urged on Monday the international community and the United States to play their roles in preventing Israel's assault and achieving a peaceful settlement through negotiations. Al-Sudani's remarks took place during his meeting with diplomats from Asian and American countries operating in Iraq, as well as the ambassadors of Australia and Turkey, according to a statement released by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). The Iraqi prime minister emphasized that Israel violates international and humanitarian law and has committed crimes and atrocities since launching an extensive military assault against Hamas in Gaza in response to the 7 October incident. He cited the failure of the international community, which is responsible for sustaining peace and security. Al-Sudani noted that Iraq is taking considerable measures to prevent the Israeli invasion, including several interactions with international leaders and foreign ministers. The Iraqi prime minister voiced complete sympathy with Iran and opposed Israel's aggression against the country, describing it as a danger to Iraq's security, peace, stability, and security. Al-Sudani stated that Israel's breaches of the law will have grave effects, reiterating Iraq's rejection of any violation of its sovereignty. Iraq submitted a formal complaint to the UN Security Council earlier, condemning Israel's use of Iraqi airspace to carry out airstrikes against Iran, describing it as a violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional peace. Supporting Iran's right to self-defense under UN law, Al-Sudani highlighted that Israel intends to broaden the scope of the conflict to reshape the Middle East.

Yemen doubles down on Iran support
Shafaq News/ Yemen's Supreme Political Council President Mahdi al-Mashat declared full support on Monday for Iran's right to defend its sovereignty. Speaking to the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), al-Mashat, also a senior Houthi leader, condemned Israeli actions as unchecked aggression and faulted global powers for ignoring international law. 'No charter grants anyone the right to unleash their rabid dog at will,' he said, warning that if the international system collapses under pressure from 'Zionist [Israeli] servants,' power alone will decide outcomes. Al-Mashat also accused Western powers of weaponizing international law rather than defending it. 'We will take all necessary steps to secure peace and stability.' He called on nations committed to peace to reject what he described as 'Zionist expansionism,' cautioning that continued silence would only deepen instability. Ties between Iran and Yemen's Ansarallah (Houthis) have grown over two decades through ideological and military cooperation. While not a formal proxy, the Houthis are considered one of Tehran's key allies in the region. On Saturday, the group claimed its first direct missile strike in support of Iran's Operation True Promise 3, launched in response to Israel's Operation Rising Lion, which targeted Iranian nuclear and military infrastructure. The Houthis reportedly fired Palestine-2 ballistic missiles at Israeli positions in Yaffa. Earlier, Houthi political bureau member Abdullah Al-Nuami told Shafaq News, 'The group will stand firmly with Iran and will never abandon it in the face of any American or Israeli aggression.'
