However, for Saturday afternoon's rematch against Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty, the Fever could be returning some key players.
On Friday, one day before Indiana vs. New York, White spoke to reporters and revealed that both Clark and Sophie Cunningham "should be available" for Saturday's game. However, DeWanna Bonner may be out due to personal reasons.
With both Clark and Cunningham out for numerous games, the Fever brought in guard Aari McDonald via emergency hardship exception, which "allows any team to sign a player, with immediate effect, if a team drops below 10 game-eligible players at any time."

McDonald played well in three games with the Fever, averaging 11.0 points, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game. But with Clark and Cunningham returning, Indiana will be moving forward without McDonald.

During the same press conference on Friday, White was asked about the Fever having to waive McDonald in order to "to meet the 10-player roster minimum and WNBA emergency hardship exception requirements."
She confirmed the roster move.
"She's gonna find a spot (on a roster)," White said. "I don't think that's a debate right now. She's been the ultimate pro. She came in ready to go. She had watched such a large amount of film just on her flight that you could tell already her high IQ. She's a dog and we're going to miss her certainly. What she brought to the table for us and being able to come in at the point guard position and just really impact us right away."
White finished with: "But yeah, she's not going to have a problem finding a job." The Fever will take on the Liberty at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. ET on ABC.

Caitlin Clark Bracing For Punishment After Fever-Liberty Game
Caitlin Clark Bracing For Punishment After Fever-Liberty Game originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark returned from injury on Saturday afternoon when Sabrina Ionescu and the New York Liberty came to town. Advertisement Clark suffered her quad strain on May 24 against the Liberty, forcing her to miss the Fever's next five contests. Indiana dropped 3-of-5 games, falling to 4-5 heading into Saturday. In her return, it didn't take Clark long to show off her competitive spirit. With 4:37 left in the second quarter, Clark was arguing an out-of-bounds call with the officials, but she may have gone too far, picking up her first technical foul of the 2025 WNBA season. Indiana Fever guard Caitlin ClarkGrace Smith/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images The Fever wound up challenging the out-of-bounds call after Clark's technical, but it was upheld, and Indiana was charged with a timeout. Ionescu made the technical free throw. Advertisement Barring the league rescinding the technical foul, Clark likely has a $200 fine coming her way. In the WNBA, a player's first three technical fouls each result in a $200 fine. The next three (4-6) result in a $400 fine each. And seven or more technicals will end with a $800 charge. However, the WNBA changed the technical foul rules around this season, likely due to the increase in scheduled games from 40 to 44. In recent seasons, a seventh tech would also lead to a suspension. However, this year, they increased that number to eight. However, Clark may be used to paying some of these fines. During her rookie year, she picked up six technical fouls, which ended up being $1,800 in total fines. Diana Taurasi, Natasha Cloud and Teaira McCowan led the league with seven techs apiece. Advertisement Following the Liberty game, Clark and the Fever will have a couple of days off before getting a rematch with the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday. Colin Cowherd Sends Warning to WNBA Players Amid Caitlin Clark's Injury
Colin Cowherd Sends Warning to WNBA Players Amid Caitlin Clark's Injury originally appeared on Athlon Sports. According to Jeff Zillgitt of USA Today, WNBA TV ratings are down more than 50% since Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark suffered a left quad injury. Advertisement Clark hasn't played since May 24 against the New York Liberty. Per Zillgitt, nationally televised WNBA viewership is down 55%, and Fever national TV games are down 53% since Clark's injury. Clark was the first overall pick in last year's WNBA draft. She won the 2024 Rookie of the Year Award after averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 8.4 assists. In four games this season, Clark is averaging 19.0 points, 6 rebounds and 9.3 assists while shooting 31.4% from beyond the arc. Colin Cowherd says WNBA players should be nice to Caitlin Hollars/IndyStar / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images On Thursday, Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd issued a warning to WNBA players, saying they should be nice to Clark since the numbers show how important she is to the league. Advertisement "Be nice, WNBA players, to the lady that currently has her leg up because she's giving the league a leg up," Cowherd said. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese said last season that people are watching the WNBA because of her, too. However, the numbers show that Reese wasn't correct. Fever head coach Stephanie White told reporters Monday the team will not rush Clark back from her left quad injury. Clark will be reevaluated by team doctors this weekend. "We're going to be smart, and we're going to be cautious and we're going to play the long game and work her back in very intentionally," White said. Advertisement The Fever are 4-5 on the season. They are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings. Once Clark returns to the court, WNBA TV ratings will likely increase. Indiana's next game is a home contest against the defending champion New York Liberty at 3 p.m. ET Saturday on ABC. Clark's status for that game has not been announced. Woeful Rockies absorb 2 records for futility with 19 whiffs and worst 70-game mark in modern era
ATLANTA (AP) — Kyle Farmer just shrugged when asked about being part of a Colorado team that just made MLB history with the worst 70-game record in the modern era. 'We don't care,' Farmer said after Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves left the Rockies with a 13-57 record. The Rockies surpassed the 1932 Boston Red Sox, who were 14-56, for the worst 70-game mark since 1901. 'I mean, there's nothing we can do about it,' Farmer said. 'It is what it is. We've just got to show up tomorrow and play. There's nothing you can really say about it except that if it happens, it happens.' The Rockies made more inglorious history by setting a franchise nine-inning record with 19 strikeouts. That's a lot of futility for one team to absorb in one day. The 19 strikeouts by Braves pitchers also set an Atlanta record for a nine-inning game. Spencer Strider recorded 13 strikeouts in six innings, followed by relievers Rafael Montero and Dylan Lee, who combined for six more whiffs. The only bright spot for the Rockies was the encouraging start by rookie right-hander Chase Dollander, a native of Evans, Georgia, who allowed four runs, three earned, in six innings. Dollander said 'just having a neutral mindset' is the key to remaining positive through a season already filled with low points for the team. 'Don't ride the roller coaster,' Dollander said. 'You know, there's going to be lots of ups and downs in this game. This game is really hard. So it's just, you know, staying neutral and we just keep going.' Dollander was the No. 9 overall pick in the 2023 summer draft. Among other top young players on the team are catcher Hunter Goodman, who may return to Atlanta for the All-Star Game on July 15, and outfielders Jordan Beck and Brenton Doyle. 'You know we're going to have our time,' Dollander said. 'I mean, it's just one of those things that you kind of learn as you go. I've been very fortunate to be here for a little bit now, and I can help us going forward.' 'For sure, keeping guys accountable and teaching them the right way to do stuff,' said Farmer, the first baseman whose double off Strider was one of only four hits for the Rockies. 'Keeping their heads up and they've got to show up each day and play, no matter our record. It's your job and you worked your whole life to get here. Enjoy it. This is a great opportunity for a young guy to show what they can do.' ___
