Remy Ma Spars With Daughter Of Man Her Son Allegedly Killed
Tensions flared between Remy Ma and the daughter of a man that the 'Lean Back' rapper's son is accused of murdering outside of a courthouse last month, with the two women having an intense verbal exchange. The confrontation took place outside of the Queens County Courthouse as Jayson 'Jace' Scott was being arraigned for his role in the 2021 murder of Darius Guillebeaux.
According to reports, Guillebeaux' daughter, Jazmin Dior, posted a video on social media capturing the exchange she had with the Bronx artist. Dior is heard calling Remy Ma out, accusing her of 'trying to act tough' and telling her to 'go around the corner,' suggesting that she wanted to fight her.
Remy Ma is seen heading down the courtroom steps to set her belongings down, responding, 'Come on, beat me up,' before the video ends. Another clip shows Remy Ma being handcuffed by officers outside, but it is unclear what led to that happening.
In a follow-up post, Dior accused the 'Conceited' rapper of being antagonistic. 'You would have thought I did something to you,' she said in the clip to Remy Ma, remarking that she seemed to lack remorse over what Scott did. 'Realistically, I can never speak to my father again. You can see your son.'Scott, 23, was allegedly hired to kill Guillebeaux, and the shooting occurred in broad daylight at the intersection of 148 Street and Rockaway Boulevard on June 7, 2021. He was arrested by the New York Police Department for first- and second-degree murder as well as reckless endangerment in the first degree and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree. An accomplice, Richard Swygert, was also accused of conspiring with Scott in the murder and was also charged. He is currently in prison for a separate murder in 2021.
'Remy Ma wished to address this situation personally, but has been strongly advised by our office not to say anything publicly — as most people in this situation are, as the case is still active,' a statement released by the rapper's representative said. 'To be clear, Jayson Scott is innocent and Remy Ma is committed to proving his innocence and fully supporting her child during this time.' Scott faces life in prison if convicted of the charges.

Judge Approves Return Of Young Thug's Seized Property After YSL Trial

On Monday, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Whitaker approved a request from his lawyers to return the items. These included $149,426 in cash, a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, a 2022 Porsche 911, and a 2018 Lamborghini Aventador. Before the hearing, Thugger's legal team filed a motion to dismiss the state's attempt to permanently take the property. They argued that the prosecutors didn't hold a hearing within 60 days after a court order allowed the forfeiture process to continue. This, they said, was a violation of the legal timeline. Prosecutors disagreed, saying it was actually the defense who asked to delay the hearing back in May. Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, reached a plea deal in October 2024. He pleaded guilty to most of the charges against him and no contest to conspiracy to violate the RICO Act and being involved in a criminal street gang. His plea deal ended his part in the YSL trial, which started in November 2023. As part of the deal, he was sentenced to five years in prison, which was counted as time already served, followed by 15 years of probation. There is also a 20-year prison sentence added on, but that will be canceled if he follows all the rules of his probation. Getting his property back is another win for Young Thug as he continues to put the legal battle behind him. Clayton County police to buy 15 new vehicles after receiving federal grant
The Clayton County Police Department said they're going to buy more than a dozen new vehicles this year. And according to the police department, it's thanks to the support of U.S. Rep. David Scott. Scott helped CCPD secure an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant for $1.03 million. In a new social media post, Fawn Weaver says that she and the Uncle Nearest team are 'unshaken' and are urging patrons to buy up the product in support. Taking to her Instagram page, Fawn Weaver spoke to her 288,000 followers in her usual direct fashion, opening the clip by acknowledging that due to the receivership, she is under a gag order by the court. 'What the enemy meant for evil, God meant for good,' Weaver began the video. As reported by The Spirits Business, Uncle Nearest was placed under receivership on August 14 after defaulting on over $100 million in loans. Farm Credit Mid-America, reported as the company's largest creditor, filed a lawsuit near the top of the month and requested that federal judge Charles E Atchley place Uncle Nearest in the receivership. The ruling is favorable for Weaver as it allows her to continue to market and push the company as she sees fit.
