A shockwave was sent across the Bollywood industry when on Saturday, famous actor and host Mukul Dev passed away at the age of 54. While the exact reason for his death remains unclear, close ones say that Mukul was not keeping well for the past few months. Mukul was one among the gifted actors in the industry and had contributed to Indian cinema for more than three decades. The news of Mukul's demise was confirmed by his close friend, Vindu Dara Singh. The veteran actor revealed that in his last days, Mukul would mostly keep to himself and even fell silent on Instagram.
However, Mukul's last post will bring chills down the spine of those who read it. The actor wrote about 'dark forebodings.' His post felt as though he had already looked into the future. Not many are aware, Mukul held a certificate in aeronautics from the Indira Gandhi Institute of Aviation in Raebareli.
Since he had the license, he would often go out to fly and explore the sky and share some sneak peeks with the fans. This is what the actor dropped as the last post on his Instagram. Dated February 26, 2025, Mukul shared a glimpse and wrote, 'And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too… I'll see you on the dark side of the moon. #crosscountry.'

TV's leading ladies take the lead in pay parity battle
Ever since actor Deepika Padukone walked out of Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Spirit', citing concerns over work hours and remuneration, the issue of fair pay has taken centre stage. Her decision sparked a larger conversation, empowering many to speak up and demand a much-needed revision in their fee structures. While Bollywood still grapples with this situation, the scenario is not the same on you read that right! Tables have turned when it comes to remuneration in the world of television. Gone are the days when TV was dismissed as the "small screen." Today, television productions rival Bollywood not just in scale, but also in budgets and actor salaries. While there is ongoing debate about whether TV actors deserve such high pay, it's undeniable that they work under intense conditions, for more days each month, and sometimes portray the same character for years, even a the highest-paid actors in the television space are largely women, with names like Rupali Ganguly, Divyanka Tripathi, Sakshi Tanwar, and Ankita Lokhande topping the list.
