Paige Spiranac names A-list celebrity as the 'slowest golfer' she's ever played with

Daily Mail21-05-2025

Paige Spiranac has name-dropped A-list actor Chris Pratt as the 'slowest golfer' the social-media influencer has ever played with.
Spiranac has rubbed elbows with some huge names over the years including Justin Timberlake, Gary Player, and Mark Wahlberg.
The golfer also has a constant presence at big golf events, including at last week's PGA Championship in North Carolina.
Pratt is most famous for playing Star-Lord in the 'Guardians of the Galaxy' film series, as well as roles in 'Parks & Recreation' and in the 'Jurassic World' franchise.
'At Genesis, they did a celebrity Ryder Cup. My partner was Nick Jonas and we played against … Chris Pratt. He was very slow," Spiranac said on 'Vanity Index'. 'Might be the slowest golfer I've ever played with. Super nice guy, unbelievably slow.'
'We were like four holes behind on a nine-hole little thing. And they were like, "You need to speed it up." He had all these people around him, and he'd tell like these amazing stories. And we were like, "Hit the golf ball."'
Last year, Pratt played in a pro-am event alongside Peyton Manning and Rory McIlroy. It is unclear what speed he played at then, or if it was a slow pace, whether it bothered the current Masters champion and one of the best quarterbacks of all-time.
Pratt is currently under a microscope as the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is in production, in a massive team-up movie called 'Avengers: Doomsday', with his involvement not confirmed, but speculated.
Spiranac is one of golf's leading influencers, with more than 4million followers on Instagram alone.
Spiranac also recently revealed her childhood friendship with Wyndham Clark on the latest season of Netflix 's 'Full Swing'.
She interviewed Clark during the series and spoke on their time growing up, chasing their golf dreams, with both now famous faces on the links.
'So I remember Wyndham when he was this tall,' Spiranac said, referencing a child's height. 'Full of braces. Most people don't know this, we're both from Colorado. We grew up playing junior golf together, and now we're here.'
'He was always going to be one of the best. Now he has to deal with all the pressure of people looking at him and having to compete week in, week out and being one of the top guys.'

Nepo baby Nico Parker wows in a strapless bandage mini dress at How To Train Your Dragon premiere in NYC

Nepo baby Nico Parker looked incredible in a LBD as she attended the How To Train Your Dragon premiere at SVA Theatre in New York on Wednesday. The daughter of Emmy winner Thandiwe Newton, 52, and writer/director Ol Parker, 56, was the epitome of chic in the bandage black dress. Nico plays Astrid, who was depicted as a young blonde Viking in the 2010 animated version of the film as well as its sequels. The actress teamed her stunning ensemble with chunky earrings and elevated her frame with stylish black heels. Nico hit back at critics objecting to her taking on the lead role in How To Train Your Dragon. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. After some fans took umbrage with Nico - who is of Zimbabwean descent through her mother - not having Astrid's 's original blonde hair and blue eyes, she slammed trolls 'hating inclusivity' and having an 'opinion on her hair'. 'There's some people that really love the animated movies and really want to see an exact play-by-play of that film, and I hope that you can watch [the new version] and find something that you love about it, regardless,' Nico said in an interview with T he London Times. 'But for the people that just hate inclusivity, hate change — when it comes to that side of things, I just don't care,' she asserted. 'If I wouldn't value your opinion on most things in life,' and getting to the root of some of the backlash she's received added, 'I can't value your opinion on my hair. If I did, I would go mad.' Nico, who was brought up in London, said seeing other people of colour on screen was useful. 'When I was younger, the amount of mixed race or black icons, people that I would look to on screen to be like, "Oh, this feels like me," felt really minimal in comparison to what it could be for young people now, and I think that's really special,' she told the outlet. 'There's still a long way to go — for women in general, in terms of new parts, original material and female-led stories. But I think that everything's changing. I'd like to think that I could contribute to that change at some point.' In the 2010 animated How to Train Your Dragon and the 2014 and 2019 sequels Astrid was voiced by Latina actress America Ferrera. Nico's first role was in Disney's live-action Dumbo, which she said she auditioned for on a whim. 'By the time we got on set [in 2017], I remember being, like, "This is what I want to do all the time.:' she said of her 12-year-old self. Since then she has gone on to star in Reminiscence and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. One role, a two episode run in The Last of US, was a special experience for her, and she had high praise for star Pedro Pascal. 'He is one of the best people ever. He really is as special as you think he would be. I was 16 when I filmed The Last of US and it was a bit of a weird time of life in general, and I feel like I came into the job on a bit of an odd footing. I don't have enough words to describe how grateful I am that he was there.' How to Train Your Dragon is expected to fly to the top of the box office after it's released on Friday. The action-adventure stars Mason Thames, 17, as Hiccup, with Gerard Butler reprising his role as his blusterous dad Stoick. 'I remember seeing how many views the trailer got and I was, like, "What is happening?" To me, I think for everyone who grew up with the films, it feels very personal,' she said. Based on the performance of the three previous films, the reimagined version is expected to pull in somewhere between $80 million and $100 million domestically according to Box Office Pro. Universal Pictures has already announced a sequel to the anticipated blockbuster. 'They announced a release date and I was like, "Well, that's quite soon,"' Parker said.

Justin Bieber could be placed in conservatorship by Hailey if she can prove 3 points to court amid his bizarre behavior

JUSTIN Bieber could be placed in a conservatorship by wife Hailey if she can prove three key points to the courts amid his concerning behavior, a legal expert has told The U.S. Sun. In recent weeks, the pop star has gone on bizarre rants and appeared incoherent in photographs and videos - leading many fans to believe it's time for Justin, 31, to seek help. 9 If Justin's behavior continues to be as dangerous as many believe, it's not out of the question that he could be placed in a conservatorship for his well-being. "As a seasoned attorney, I'll say this bluntly: If Justin Bieber's recent behavior is as troubling as reported amidst erratic social media posts, visible signs of impairment, and statements hinting at isolation and emotional instability, then YES, a conservatorship could be considered,' powerhouse legal expert Jamie Wright exclusively told The U.S. Sun. However, the decision would not be made lightly, as the acclaimed lawyer made it clear that conservatorships are 'legal nuclear options.' 'In California, a conservatorship is a court-ordered plan where a designated person (conservator) is appointed to manage the affairs, personal care, or finances of an adult deemed unable to manage these on their own. 'This isn't just about being 'out of it' on Instagram. Courts require substantial medical evidence, and the bar is high. 'Especially post-Britney, with the public and legal community rightfully wary of abuses in the system,' Counselor Wright said of Britney Spears' unprecedented, and historic, conservatorship case. She went on to explain that in most conservatorship cases, the spouse or parent would have legal standing to file. However, in order for Hailey, 28, or Justin's mom, Pattie Mallette, to have a case, they would need to 'demonstrate that Justin is incapable of making rational decisions, poses a risk to himself or others — including his infant son, or is unable to manage his financial empire,' she claimed. 9 9 9 'If a conservatorship were granted, it could have profound implications. Legally, Justin could lose control over decisions about his health, money, and even parental rights. 'Custody of his child could be questioned if there's evidence he's an unfit parent. 'It would certainly put pressure on his marriage with Hailey and would raise serious reputational questions that could derail future endorsements, brand partnerships, and touring plans. "He's young, powerful, and high-profile, so any conservatorship move would face intense public scrutiny and likely pushback," the attorney added. Justin Bieber sparks concern with series of worrying selfies as he refers to drugs in shock post 9 'But when safety, especially of a child, is on the line, no one is untouchable. If this situation escalates, the law will step in. 'Bottom line, no one wants to see another celebrity conservatorship saga play out — but if the signs are as serious as they seem, it's not out of the question," Counselor Wright stated. 'HE NEEDS HELP' Recently, Justin sparked concern with a series of comments he's made online - including openly discussing drug use and being "done with transactional relationships." Things escalated further when the Sorry singer took to his Instagram Stories, posting close-up selfies where many said he looked "unwell." One slide he shared this week featured a screenshot from an AI chat interface asking: 'Has ketamine been used to control people's emotions?' The AI chatbot allegedly answered: 'There is clear evidence that ketamine has been misused in certain law enforcement scenarios, particularly in ways that amount to chemical restraint or social control." In another slide, Justin superimposed text over a photo of himself looking defeated: 'This is how I feel after people keep telling me theres more work to do after the ive given everything I have to give.' Welcome Baby Bieber! Singer Justin Bieber and his wife, model Hailey Bieber, welcomed their first child in August 2024. The celebrity couple revealed that they were expecting in May when Hailey was already six months pregnant. The pair announced the birth on August 24, sharing their son's name, Jack Blues Bieber, for the first time. Justin shared a photo of Hailey's hand touching their newborn's foot, which was wrapped in a blanket. Fans immediately congratulated Hailey and Justin while pointing out the family connection of the name Jack. Justin's great-grandfather was Jack Arnold, and his father, Jeremy Bieber, has Jack as a middle name. He followed up with: 'I don't think any of us can handle hearing 'You just gotta try a little harder and you will be like me.' It's not true. "I listened to those fools who told me to work harder. And there's no end to trying to earn ur spot in this life because I tried. U have everything u need right now.' On another snap, he admitted: 'We wanna make our life about work so bad. But this life is about God. Loving us so we can love each other. Quit making ur life about work smh. God will always inspire u to wait to work hard. 'U think if you don't tell people to work hard that they won't. Stop playing God please.' Justin went on: 'Conditioning. Will make u feel i didn't know what the f*** u knew.' This cryptic post was followed by another black-and-white selfie with the caption: 'But I f***in always knew in my gut Jesus was always the answer to pain we are all facing. 'People still keep making me think If I work hard on myself I'll be better like them. But the harder I work on myself the more I think about myself. I though the point was to think about one another?' He finished with: 'The only thing that helps me to think about others to let go not try harder. Join me in letting go of not trying harder.' This follows reports that Justin is also facing great financial strain - allegedly owing his former manager, Scooter Braun, over $8 million, audits obtained by TMZ claim. 9 9
