
Police launch attempted murder probe after man hit by car in Fallin
A car was then found on fire a short time later near Bridge of Allan as police ask for witnesses to come forward.
An attempted murder investigation is underway after a car was driven at a man on a Fallin street yesterday evening.
The incident took place at around 9.15pm on Stirling Road in the village, with a man being struck by a black Ford Fiesta which cops say was deliberately driven in his direction.
Emergency services including police and ambulances attended and the injured man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where staff describe his condition as stable.
The car is believed to have driven off in the direction of Stirling before police then received reports a short time later of a Ford Fiesta vehicle being on found on fire near Sheriffmuir Road near Bridge of Allan.
Detective Inspector Yvonne Moreland said: 'Extensive enquiries are continuing to gather more information on this attempted murder and trace the occupants of the car. 'The vehicle involved, which was found in Sheriffmuir, has been recovered. 'We are urging any witnesses to the attempted murder, or anyone who seen the car being driven between Fallin and Sheriffmuir to contact us. 'If anyone has any personal footage or dashcam that may hold information that is relevant to this investigation, please get in touch.' Police have said any information should be passed to Police Scotland through 101 quoting reference number 3777 of 13 May. or via the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.

Two women aged 32 and 77 killed in Moray crash
Two women have died after a crash in accident happened on the A98 between Buckie and Fochabers, near Enzie, shortly before 12:30 on Tuesday.
