Man, 26, in hospital after attempted murder in Stirlingshire village
A man is in hospital after a car was deliberately driven at him in a Stirlingshire attempted murder. Emergency services were called to Fallin on Tuesday after a 26-year-old man was struck by a black Ford Fiesta. The incident happened on Stirling Road at around 9.15pm. The car did not stop and went towards Stirling. Police are now investigating and say they later received a report of a Ford Fiesta on fire on Sheriffmuir Road. The injured man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, where staff describe his condition as stable. Police Scotland Detective Inspector Yvonne Moreland said: 'Extensive enquiries are continuing to gather more information on this attempted murder and trace the occupants of the car. 'The vehicle involved, which was found in Sheriffmuir, has been recovered. 'We are urging any witnesses to the attempted murder, or anyone who seen the car being driven between Fallin and Sheriffmuir to contact us. 'If anyone has any personal footage or dashcam that may hold information that is relevant to this investigation, please get in touch.' Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101 quoting reference number 3777 of May 13.

Man, 26, deliberately hit by car in attempted murder
A 26-year-old man is in hospital after being hit by a car in an attempted murder near Stirling. A black Ford Fiesta was deliberately driven at him on Stirling Road, in the village of Fallin, at around 21:15 on Tuesday. Police Scotland said he was in a stable condition at Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The car was later found on fire nearby in Sheriffmuir. Det Insp Yvonne Moreland said the force was carrying out "extensive inquiries" into the incident. She added: "We are urging any witnesses to the attempted murder, or anyone who seen the car being driven between Fallin and Sheriffmuir to contact us."

Police are hunting for the driver whose car was found ablaze after a man was deliberately mowed down in an attempted murder. The injured man was rushed to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where staff describe his condition as stable. Police Scotland are now urging for witnesses to come forward. On Sunday, in a separate incident, we reported that a 64-year-old motorcyclist had died following a crash with a heavy goods vehicle near Logie, Moray, on Saturday afternoon. The incident involving the white Honda CB1300 bike took place at around 6.30pm on the A940, the road between the towns of Forres and Grantown-on-Spey. The lorry was being driven by a man and he had a female passenger, and neither of them were injured in the crash. Sergeant Alexander Bowser-Riley said: "Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time. I would urge anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam of the area at the time to contact us."
