Work has commenced on a brand-new stitch pitch at The Racecourse so it is ready for the start of the 2025-26 campaign when the Reds will compete in the Championship after finishing runners-up in League One this term to secure an historic third successive promotion.
The club has invested more than £1 million on the playing surface, with undersoil heating being installed alongside new irrigation and drainage systems.
In other work being carried out at the iconic north Wales stadium ahead of Wrexham's first season in the second tier for 43 years, when they will come up against the likes of Leicester City, Southampton and Ipswich Town, the dugouts are being moved from one side of the pitch to the other.
Parkinson, appointed manager in July 2021, is used to shouting instructions on the touchline in front of the Reds' substitutes and his backroom staff who sit at the front of the Wrexham Lager Stand but they will now be housed in the first few rows of the Macron Stand.
On the move, the Reds' boss commented: "It is something different and I am cool about it.
"I can get to know the fans on that side a bit more now!"

The winger was the stand-out performer for the Ibrox side during a disappointing campaign at Ibrox Former Rangers loanee Vaclav Cerny appears to have closed the door on the prospect of a permanent move to Ibrox this summer. The Scottish Premiership giants are in the midst of a major overhaul following the US consortium's takeover with a new manager set to be appointed. Former Southampton boss Russell Martin is the frontrunner ahead of Davide Ancelotti with a final decision expect by Rangers' powerbrokers in the coming days. But after a loan campaign that saw Cerny chip in with 18 goals and nine assists, many fans were hoping to see the Czech Republic international make a permanent move to Glasgow with reports suggesting Wolfsburg are demanding £9million for the 27-year-old. But while on international duty, the attacker appears to have put a full stop on his time in Glasgow as he confessed he left with regrets having failed to pick up silverware. He said: "I managed to play a lot of games, almost 60 in one season, which is wonderful. "I had a wonderful relationship with the fans, I think I gave them a lot of nice experiences, just like they gave me. "I'm just sorry I couldn't win anything with Rangers. Before being shown the door at St Mary's, Martin revealed he had been keeping tabs on the forward during his time in Belgium - insisting he was still involved in the "big picture" at the club. He said: "We've had different people go over and watch him. We are in constant contact, he's doing well and it's been good for him. "He's in a different environment and has a different challenge. He seems to be enjoying it. "We will keep sending people over there a bit regularly to make sure we're having a conversation. "Face-to-face contact is always better and easier. I wish I had the time to go over myself, but at the minute I haven't. "There will be a time when I do. He's an important player for us in terms of the big picture. I think this season will be really good for him." Florian Wirtz drops huge Liverpool hint in angry response to transfer claims
Florian Wirtz has taken to social media to deny reports that he has requested the No.10 shirt at Liverpool ahead of a potential club-record move to the Premier League champions Florian Wirtz has slammed speculation that he's eyeing the legendary No. 10 shirt at Liverpool - but the Bayer Leverkusen star has dropped a huge hint on his potential club-record move to Anfield. The Reds are making a splash this summer, engaging in discussions to bring the playmaker to Anfield - with his German employers reportedly holding out for €150million (£127m). Two bids have already been rejected and, while transfer talks progress, Wirtz appears eager to join the English giants. Sparking controversy, it was suggested earlier in the week that Wirtz desired the iconic No.10 shirt, currently donned by Alexis Mac Allister at Liverpool. With two seasons wearing the number at Bayer Leverkusen under his belt, the rumour mill implied he'd fancy a similar setup at Anfield. Yet, the 22-year-old has emphatically shut down such suggestions with a heated denial. Posting on Instagram, Wirtz shared a written message saying: "Who says I want the 10? I respect players. Don't believe everything what's written," accompanying his words with a clown emoji as if mocking the claims. His admission, however, does suggest that talks are still ongoing - and the player himself is aware of the speculation surrounding his future. Wirtz's potential claim on the shirt could have ruffled feathers, namely Mac Allister's, who was thrilled to snag the No.10 when he joined Liverpool a couple of years back. In past comments, Mac Allister acknowledged the weight of the number, saying: "I know how important the No 10 is in football. I had the possibility to take the No 8 as well, which is a big number for this club because of [Steven] Gerrard, of course." He then added, explaining his choice of shirt: "But I decided for No 10 because I used it a lot of times, in Argentina, in Brighton under-23s. It's a number I really like and that's why I chose it." The shirt number that Wirtz will don at Liverpool remains uncertain, should his anticipated move to Merseyside materialise. Negotiations are still ongoing at the club level, with Bayer Leverkusen reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £127million. According to Sky Sports, Liverpool have already tabled an offer of around £105m. The report further suggests that Wirtz is keen on joining the Reds, despite attracting interest from Manchester City and Bayern Munich. Earlier reports suggested that Wirtz was leaning towards Liverpool due to the prospect of more game time. Bild reported that he didn't receive any assurances from Bayern Munich regarding his role, which remained 'not finally resolved'. Bayern were allegedly planning to prioritise Jamal Musiala, who recently extended his contract, over Wirtz. This left Wirtz with a choice between Liverpool and Manchester City. During preliminary discussions, both clubs reportedly promised Wirtz 'a central role in attack', before he ultimately decided on Liverpool. With negotiations believed to be advancing behind closed doors, a resolution could be imminent.
