Article content Electra wants revenge for her father's murder and hopes her exiled brother Orestes will help. But when he returns, their ill-meant plans spiral out of control in a rising crescendo of madness that leads to a shocking finale. Article content Performances were spectacular all around from the star-studded cast, but most notably Caitlin Stacey, an accomplished star of the iconic Australian TV show Neighbours and the 2022 breakout horror film Smile, among many other accolades. Her presence was magnetic, capturing the audience's attention anytime she spoke in riddles. gesticulate wildly, or laughed with childlike glee. Article content While you may not know the story of Electra, there are enough passing references to the Odyssey, particularly the battle of Troy, to provide enough common historical context for the audience to follow. The festival brings teams together for a fun-filled day of camaraderie and fundraising while racing dragon boats on Kempenfelt Bay. The roar of paddles and cheers filled Heritage Park over the weekend as the Annual Dragon Boat Festival returned to Kempenfelt Bay. Now in its 21st year, teams from across the region raced along the Barrie waterfront, drawing crowds and celebrating community spirit. Organized with help from the Barrie Public Library, the event raised funds for local causes while bringing people together for a day of competition and fun. This year, nearly 40 teams competed for the winning title, raising money for their charity of choice. The Barrie Dragon Boat Festival is presented by Tim Hortons, the title sponsor. The long-standing event is made possible by the support of volunteers, community partners, and teams. Since 2003, competing teams have raised over $2 million across sixty different charities, including the Barrie Public Library's Future Branches Campaign.

Barry and Dorothee Burtnyk of Greater Sudbury struck it rich playing Instant Casino Night (Game #2483), a $10 lottery scratch ticket with odds of winning any prize at 1 in 3.51.
