A MUM and her two young children, aged six and four, were found in a remote cave in India - where they had been living for seven years.
Russian Nina Kutina, 40, and her two tots had been in total isolation for nearly two weeks - before police found them while patrolling a forest.

Kutina, who is also nicknamed Mohi, is understood to have come to India on a business visa which expired in 2017, and then re-entered the country in 2018.
The woman claimed she had subsequently travelled from Goa to Gokarna to seek spiritual solitude.
Authorities made the shocking discovery while patrolling Ramatirtha Hill in the beachside town of Gokarna, Karnataka, on July 9.
Officers were combing through thick forest in a landslide-prone area when they spotted movement near a rocky cave.
To their disbelief, they found Kutina living there with her daughters Prema, six, and Ama, four.
They were staying together in a rough shelter built inside the cave.
Locals said the family had been spotted in the area before but no one knew they were living in the wild.
Inspector Sridhar SR and his team from Gokarna Police Station were carrying out safety checks for tourists when they stumbled across the makeshift home at around 5pm.
A police spokesperson said: "Our patrolling team spotted saree and other clothes being hung for drying outside the cave in Ramatirtha Hill.
"When they went there, they spotted Mohi along with her children."
Tourist arrested after leaving 'deadly' Coke can for remote tribe was 'inspired' by missionary they speared to death
Kutina explained to cops she had been practising meditation and 'Hindu rituals' inside the cave.
Police added: "It was quite surprising how she and her children survived in the woods and what they ate.
"Thankfully, nothing untoward happened to her or the children during their time in the forest."
After spotting the homeless family on Ramatirtha Hill, officers warned Kutina of the serious risks of staying in the area.
She was eventually persuaded to leave and was safely escorted down the hill along with her children shortly afterwards.
The trio were relocated to an ashram run by an 80-year-old female monk, Swami Yogaratna Saraswati, in the village of Bankikodla in Kumta taluk, at the mum's request.
The cave the family were found in was nestled inside dense forests and rugged terrain - making their lifestyle all the more shocking.
Kutina is understood to have decorated the cave's interior, setting up a Rudra idol and transforming the space into a spiritual sanctuary.

The Russian national also reportedly dedicated her days to performing puja and meditation.
The trio survived using plastic sheets to sleep and ate instant noodles frequently, cops said.
The mum first told police she had lost her passport and visa documents, but they later found them near the cave.
Although her intentions were "spiritual", authorities were left deeply concerned about the safety of her two daughters.
Ramatirtha Hill, where the cave is located, previously experienced a major landslide in July 2024.
It is also home to dangerous wildlife, including venomous snakes - making it a treacherous environment.
The spiritual coastal town of Gokarna is known for its deep religious and meditative roots.
After examining Kutina's passport and visa documents, it was revealed that she had originally entered India on a business visa valid until April 17, 2017.
She was issued an exit permit on April 19, 2018, and records showed she had subsequently exited to Nepal.
But the woman re-entered India on September 8, 2018, overstaying her permitted duration, and stayed there since.
Officials are now looking into how exactly the family came to be living in the wild in the first place.

Brit mum breaks down in tears & issues grovelling apology over £300k Bali coke smuggling plot as she faces death penalty

Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A BRIT mum facing the death penalty for allegedly smuggling £300,000 of cocaine into Bali has said she "won't trust people so easily again". Lisa Stocker, 39, broke down in tears as she told a court she was conned into carrying illicit packets of the popular Angel Delight dessert into Indonesia by a friend. The mum-of-three and her partner, Jon Collyer, 39, both from East Sussex, were arrested at Bali's international airport on February 1. They had travelled from the UK through Qatar and were stopped in Bali after a routine x-ray at the airport alerted officials to the suspicious packages. The couple first appeared in court with Phineas Float, 31, also of East Sussex, who is accused of receiving the packages in an airport hotel on February 3. During one of her initial court hearings Ms Stocker admitted: "I was framed." She claimed a friend gave her the packets of Angel Delight in the UK and asked her to take them to Bali. Ms Stocker said: "Jon and I had been to Bali twice carrying packages from [him]. I was shocked after finding out it was cocaine." Today in court she reiterated her feelings as she again said she had no idea that her suitcase was full of narcotics. She was seen breaking down in tears as she sat in the courtroom in a red and white prison outfit and issued a grovelling apology. Her husband, Mr Collyer, admitted what they did was "very stupid" as he told Judge Heriyanti: "I won't do it again." Brit drug mule moans 'I'm depressed' as he faces years in hellhole jail after smuggling 'iPhone' in weight of cocaine Mr Float remained quiet as he sat in court after being involved in a heated shouting match during a previous hearing. Back in June, while walking to the courtroom for the first day of his trial he yelled at journalist to "f*** off". Sentencing for all three is due to take place next week. They could face the death penalty under Indonesian laws. Although they are more likely to be hit with decades in prison, according to their lawyer Sheiny Pangkahila. She suggested, if convicted, her clients could each face prison 15 to 20 years. But now lead prosecutor Made Dipa Umbara has said the trio could actually avoid any serious time altogether. He announced thy will ask to "sentence the defendants to one years in prison" each, minus the time already served. 5 The mum broke down in tears at her last court hearing in June Credit: Supplied 5 The three will learn their fate at sentencing next week Credit: EPA He noted that all three had behaved well in court, apologised for their role in the smuggling plot and promised not to reoffend. Meanwhile, across the globe in Georgia, Bella May Culley is battling to avoid a 20-year jail sentence while pregnant. The 19-year-old from Billingham, County Durham, denies knowingly smuggling cannabis and hashish from Thailand. She says she was coerced by a brutal trafficking gang who allegedly burned her with an iron and threatened her family with beheading. Bella claims she was duped into transporting the drugs by the Thailand-based gang – but prosecutors argue CCTV footage shows her calmly passing through Bangkok airport's gates without raising the alarm. In Sri Lanka, Charlotte May Lee is behind bars after allegedly attempting to smuggle £1.2million worth of synthetic kush, a highly potent cannabis variant. The 21-year-old former air stewardess from South London, denies the allegations but was reportedly caught with 46kg of the substance packed into her suitcases. If convicted, she could be handed a 25-year prison sentence in a country known for its tough anti-drug stance. And a British couple claiming to be holidaymakers were busted in Valencia, Spain, after allegedly arriving with 33kg of cannabis hidden in their bags. Police said they were flagged for their 'nervous and evasive attitude' and are now in jail facing serious trafficking charges. Perhaps most shocking of all – a six-year-old British boy was arrested in Mauritius as part of a group caught with a £1.6million cannabis haul. Why are Brits targeted as drug mules? GROWING numbers of Brits are being targeted by drug gangs to smuggle their wares around the world, authorities have claimed. The high profile cases of Brits Bella Culley and Charlotte May Lee - who are being held on drug charges in Georgia and Sri Lanka respectively - have put a spotlight on the issue. Gangs based in Thailand are reportedly luring potential mules with the promise of big payouts and lavish travel breaks in return for carrying drugs back with them. Cannabis is decriminalised in Thailand, which has seen it become so cheap there that gangs have sought to export it at vast profit. One reason cited by authorities for the targeting of Brits specifically is that tourists from the UK have visa free access to Thailand. British and Thai police launched a joint operation last July that laid bare the scale of the gang recruitment drive. Some 800 people, including 50 Brits, have been held in Thailand since then for alleged drug smuggling.

The alarm was raised around 4.30am this morning at a hotel-apartment in the party resort of Albufeira where two British men died last month. Emergency responders sent to the scene made unsuccessful attempts to revive them. Portugal's Policia Judiciaria have been asked by colleagues at the GNR police force to investigate the circumstances surrounding the men's deaths but they are not being treated as suspicious at this stage. At least one local paper in Portugal is reporting the two men who died this morning were both British and were holidaying with friends. Portuguese police could not be reached this afternoon for an official comment.

John Torode breaks his silence after being SACKED from MasterChef over ‘racist remark' amid Gregg Wallace scandal

Co-host Gregg Wallace was also sacked from the show last week, following allegations of sexual misconduct MASTERCHEF CHAOS John Torode breaks his silence after being SACKED from MasterChef over 'racist remark' amid Gregg Wallace scandal Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) MASTERCHEF host John Torode has spoken out for the first time after being sacked from the show for allegedly making a "serious" racist remark. BBC bosses axed the TV host, 59, on Tuesday, slamming an "extremely offensive" term Torode used - which was revealed in a bombshell report into co-host Gregg Wallace's "inappropriate behaviour". He said: "Although I haven't heard from anyone at the BBC or Banijay - I am seeing and reading that I've been "sacked" from MasterChef and I repeat that I have no recollection of what I'm accused of. "The enquiry could not even state the date or year of when I am meant to have said something wrong. "I'd hoped that I'd have some say in my exit from a show I've worked on since its relaunch in 2005, but events in last few days seem to have prevented that. "Over the past few months, I have been considering my life and the shape of it now and in the future. "Celebrity MasterChef, which I recently filmed with Grace Dent along with two fantastic Christmas specials will be my last. "Personally, I have loved every minute working on MasterChef, but it's time to pass the cutlery to someone else. For whoever takes over, love it as I have." He added: "I will watch fondly from afar as I now focus on the many other exciting projects that I have been working towards. "My tummy will be grateful for a rest after 20 years of eating, but what a joy it has been. "Life is everchanging and ever moving & sometimes personal happiness and fulfilment lay elsewhere. "Thank you for the many years of MasterChef." The dossier into Wallace's behaviour upheld a complaint that an unnamed person used a racial phrase on one occasion several years ago. Torode previously told The Sun that this comment referred to him, but added: 'I have absolutely no recollection of this, and I do not believe that it happened.' It was claimed the BBC told the presenter to pretend he had mental health issues and resign, after he was accused of racism amid the Gregg Wallace scandal. Confirming his sacking on Tuesday, a statement from the BBC read: "John Torode has identified himself as having an upheld allegation of using racist language against him. "This allegation – which involves an extremely offensive racist term being used in the workplace- was investigated and substantiated by the independent investigation led by the law firm, Lewis Silkin. "John Torode denies the allegation. He has stated he has no recollection of the alleged incident and does not believe that it happened. "He also says that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. "The BBC takes this upheld finding extremely seriously. We will not tolerate racist language of any kind and, as we have already said, we told Banijay UK, the makers of MasterChef, that action must be taken. John Torode SACKED from MasterChef after 'racist remark' in another blow for scandal-hit show after Gregg Wallace saga "John Torode's contract on MasterChef will not be renewed." Banijay wrote a statement which added: "In response to John Torode's statement, it is important to stress that Banijay UK takes this matter incredibly seriously. "The legal team at Lewis Silkin that investigated the allegations relating to Gregg Wallace also substantiated an accusation of highly offensive racist language against John Torode which occurred in 2018. "This matter has been formally discussed with John Torode by Banijay UK, and whilst we note that John says he does not recall the incident, Lewis Silkin have upheld the very serious complaint. "Banijay UK and the BBC are agreed that we will not renew his contract on MasterChef." Torode, who has hosted the BBC1 cooking show with Wallace since 2005, was shocked to be told of the allegation — which did not receive a complaint at the time but had been raised with investigators. The BBC was unable to specify the time or date of the allegation, narrowing it down to '2018 or 2019'. MasterChef scandal timeline 2005 to 2011: Problems with MasterChef began way back in the mid-2000s, with 27 substantiated claims made against host Gregg Wallace regarding alleged incidents in this period, according to a report by law firm Lewis Silkin. Most of these were related to sexually explicit comments, although one allegation of unwanted physical contact in this period was also substantiated. The same report found there was a failure by the production company to retain records of any actions taken during this time. 2012 to 2018: Another 17 allegations were upheld from this period, according to the report. The production company behind MasterChef investigated an allegation about Wallace's behaviour in 2015 - but he was not made aware of the complaint. In 2016, the production company merged with Endemol, introducing more formal policies as well as regular training and anonymous reporting lines. The BBC intervened in response to a complaint in 2017, after which Wallace was then warned to change his behaviour. 2019 to 2024: One substantiated complaint about an inappropriate comment was from this time period. November 2024: Wallace faces allegations of inappropriate sexual comments from 13 people across a 17-year period on a range of TV shows. He steps away from presenting MasterChef while Banijay - the show's production company - announces it will conduct an external review to 'fully and impartially investigate' the claims against him. Some of these allegations included Wallace 'talking openly about his sex life, taking his top off in front of a female worker saying he wanted to 'give her a fashion show', and telling a junior female colleague he was not wearing any boxer shorts under his jeans'. Banijay UK also confirms it has appointed law firm Lewis Silkin to lead the investigation into Wallace's alleged behaviour. December 2024: Wallace posts a video on Instagram which claims accusations against him making sexual comments towards staff and guests have come from 'middle-class women of a certain age'. His remarks are widely panned as "inappropriate and misogynistic', causing Wallace to apologise for any 'offence' or 'upset' he caused with his remarks, saying he will 'take some time out'. Co-host John Torode says he 'loves being part of' the show and 'will continue to be a part of it'. July 8 to 9, 2025: Wallace is sacked as MasterChef presenter following an enquiry into his alleged misconduct by Banijay. In an Instagram post, the former greengrocer claimed he had been cleared of the 'most serious and sensational accusations' against him, ahead of the published review. He also said he recognised that some of his humour and language was inappropriate 'at times' and apologised for this. July 14, 2025: Lewis Silkin publishes its report, on behalf of Banijay. It says that a total of 45 out of the 83 allegations made against Wallace during his time on the show were substantiated, including one allegation of 'unwelcome physical contact'. It concludes that the 'majority of the substantiated allegations against Wallace related to inappropriate sexual language and humour', adding that 'a smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated'. In the wake of the report's findings, Banijay says that 'Wallace's return to MasterChef (is) untenable'. July 15, 2025: Co-host Torode is sacked after allegedly making a racist remark while on the show. BBC bosses axe the TV host and slam an "extremely offensive" term, which was raised in the bombshell report into Gregg Wallace's "inappropriate behaviour". Torode says the comment - which the report attributed to an unnamed person - referred to him, but added: 'I have absolutely no recollection of this, and I do not believe that it happened.' Sources said the BBC and production company Banijay asked John to resign from the beleaguered show last week and claim he had mental health problems — to which he refused. He issued a statement to The Sun confirming he was the individual in the Wallace investigation who was 'alleged to have used racial language on one occasion'. However John — married to actress and ex-Celebrity MasterChef contestant Lisa Faulkner, 53 — believes it never even happened. The dad of four said: 'The allegation is I did so sometime between 2018 or 2019, in a social situation, and the person I was speaking with did not believe it was intended in a malicious way and I apologised immediately afterwards. "I have absolutely no recollection of any of this, and I do not believe that it happened 'However, I want to be clear that I've always had the view that any racial language is wholly unacceptable in any environment. 'I'm shocked and saddened by the allegation as I would never wish to cause anyone any offence.' It is understood to be the only issue involving him in the report, though a source close to him said he is 'absolutely devastated to have been pulled into this mess'. They went on: 'He was at drinks after filming when he is alleged to have used an inappropriate racial term. "The witness said he apologised instantly, and he was mortified. 'The witness even stated he didn't use the term as a slur. 'No one complained at the time, but it's been brought up during the inquiry. "Shockingly he was only made aware of the incident two weeks ago and was only informed on Friday that it would be upheld." What did the report find? FORTY-five allegations made against Gregg Wallace during his time on MasterChef, including one of "unwelcome physical contact", were found to have been substantiated. An independent report commissioned by production company Banijay assessed 83 allegations against Wallace. The report substantiated: - Twelve claims he made inappropriate jokes and innuendo; - Sixteen reports he made sexually explicit comments; - Two allegations that he made sexualised comments to or about someone; - Four complaints that he made culturally insensitive or racist comments; - Three claims that he was in a state of undress; - Seven allegations of bullying; - One allegation of unwanted touching. The allegations span from 2005 to 2024. The BBC called John on Thursday night, followed by an email on Friday, asking him to step back. He was told to have his answer by Monday. A source claimed: 'They ambushed him, and it was suggested he quit due to the stress and scrutiny of the furore around the show. 'Obviously he was absolutely shocked and appalled and told them quite firmly he didn't have any mental health issues. "To try to use mental health as a get-out clause seems incredibly low — and is also deeply unfair to those with genuine mental health trauma. 'John absolutely loves MasterChef, and doesn't want to lose his job because of an investigation into his co-star." Melbourne-born John moved to the UK in 1991 and started working in London restaurants including Quaglino's. It was there he met greengrocer Wallace, who provided their veg. He started cooking on This Morning in 1996 before he and Wallace began hosting the revamped MasterChef in 2005.
