Sisi approves launch of initiative for martyrs' underage children
President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has approved the launch of the 'Egypt is with You' initiative, aimed at supporting underage children of martyrs and victims of violence from the Armed Forces, police, and civilians.
During a meeting held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the fund to honor the martyrs Major General El-Sayed El-Ghaly, and the fund's Executive Director Ahmed Al-Ashaal, the President stressed the need to continue enhancing the services provided by the fund, expanding its resources, and developing its management mechanisms to better meet the needs of beneficiaries.
Sisi was briefed on the fund's recent activities, services, and upcoming initiatives coordinated with relevant state authorities, Presidential Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy said in a statement following the meeting.
The President approved the 'Egypt is with You' initiative, which aims to invest financial allocations on behalf of underage beneficiaries to generate the highest possible returns, ensuring financial support upon reaching adulthood.
The initiative will be implemented in coordination with the Central Bank of Egypt, the Sovereign Fund of Egypt, and Misr Life Insurance Company.
Sisi also approved the inclusion of martyrs' families and injured personnel from special operations units in the Armed Forces, as well as civilian martyrs who contributed to wartime efforts in past conflicts, under the fund's umbrella.
He instructed the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to determine appropriate scholarship exemptions and tuition reductions at public, private, and national universities, as well as private higher institutes, for the fund's beneficiaries, and to establish clear mechanisms for implementation.
Sisi emphasized that the Egyptian people deeply value the sacrifices made by martyrs and injured personnel of war, terrorist attacks, and security operations, 'those who have paid the ultimate price so the nation can live in peace and prosperity.'
