Saudi Steel Pipe unit lands $243m Aramco supply contract
Saudi Steel Pipe Company has announced that one of its key units has secured a SAR910 million ($243 million) order from Saudi oil giant Aramco for the supply of Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welding (LSAW) pipes.
As part of the contract, its consolidated subsidiary, Global Pipe Company, will supply LSAW pipe for the accelerated carbon capture and storage hub being set up by Aramco in Jubail, said Saudi Steel Pipe in its filing to the Saudi bourse.
The entire work will be completed within a 15-month period.
The financial impact is expected to materialize partly in the second semester of 2025 and partly the first semester of 2026, it added.
This comes close on the heels of SSP's SAR138 million contract win last year from Aramco for supply of oil and gas steel pipes for a key project in the kingdom.

The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka hosts hundreds of business events aimed at strengthening trade and investment relations between the Kingdom and Japan. These include presentations led by the Ministries of Investment and Commerce, as well as events highlighting the trade and investment opportunities offered by Saudi Vision 2030. Trade volume between the two countries has grown significantly over the past decade, rising from $33.4 billion to over $41 billion currently. The Saudi Pavilion aims to increase the number of Japanese visitors to the Kingdom, targeting 30,000 annual visitors before Expo 2030 Riyadh. This is part of the comprehensive Saudi-Japan Vision 2030 strategy, which includes more than 80 projects across nine sectors: culture, food and agricultural security, media and entertainment, healthcare, advanced infrastructure, finance and investment, competitive industries, energy, small and medium enterprises, sports, and education. Cultural exchange between the two countries has flourished, highlighted by Saudi Arabia's role in bringing Japanese culture to the Middle East through local manga studios, whose works will be showcased at the Saudi Pavilion in August. The Saudi Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka offers more than 700 diverse and engaging events, including daily shows and live performing arts. Lamar, Asyad break ground on major Aramco housing project
Lamar Holding, a leading developer of large-scale PPP projects in the region, has joined hands with its consortium partner Asyad Group for the ground-breaking of Saudi oil giant Aramco's prime residential project - Abu Ali Housing - in the kingdom's Eastern Prrovince. A leading Saudi family conglomerate, Asyad Group has major interests in key sectors including real estate, capital, aviation and investments. Located north of Jubail industrial city, the Abu Ali Housing project features serviced residential compounds that will cater to the needs of 500 employees working at Abu Ali Island. This project marks the third iteration of its significant partnership with Saudi Aramco, the visionary institution focused on the wellbeing of its people, said Lamar in its LinkedIn post. It is being implemented in co-ordination with Asyad Holding Group and its key collaborator Sinohydro and chief lender Riyad Bank. The project is set to be operational in 2027 and has a concession tenor of 20 years, it added. "At Lamar, we've always believed that infrastructure is more than buildings and utilities. It is about people. It's about delivering places that foster dignity, wellbeing, and pride for those who serve in demanding conditions," said a company spokesman.
