Ellie Bamber cuts a typically chic figure in a light grey skirt co-ord at the New York premiere of Words Of War
She never puts a foot wrong when it comes to fashion.
And Ellie Bamber cut a typically chic figure at the New York premiere of Words Of War held at the Village East Cinema on Wednesday night.
The actress, 28, opted for a light grey skirt co-ord which highlighted her toned physique.
She boosted her height with pointed black heels and completed the outfit with an oversized matching jacket.
The beauty wore her blonde tresses in loose waves over her shoulders and sported a glowing make-up look.
Words of War is an upcoming biographical drama film about the late Russian journalist Anna Politkovskaya.
Directed by James Strong, it is set to star Maxine Peake as Politkovskaya, Jason Isaacs as her husband Alexander Politkovsky, and Ciarán Hinds as her Nobel Peace Prize-winning editor at the Novaya Gazeta, Dmitry Muratov.
Variety reported that Words of War is scheduled to be released in U.S. theaters starting on May 2, 2025.
Anna Politkovskaya was one of Russia's most acclaimed journalists and a vocal critic of the Kremlin. She was murdered in 2006.
Ellie will also soon star in an upcoming Kate Moss biopic focusing on her now iconic collaboration with celebrated figurative painter Lucian Freud.
Kate was 28-years old and well established as one of Britain's most successful fashion models when Freud painted her in the nude, an arduous nine-month project carried out at the artist's Holland Park home in 2002.
The painting would be sold privately for £3.5million some three years later, but its waif-like subject and her relationship with Freud will be reenacted for a wider audience in a forthcoming film.
Directed by James Lucas, the appropriately titled Moss & Freud will feature rising star Bamber as the supermodel in what could arguably be her most challenging role to date.
The task at hand is all the more daunting given she was handpicked by Kate, but those charting her career - including the supermodel, a self-confessed fan - will know the role is in safe hands.
Born in Surrey to investment banker father David and mother Zoe - who now works as her manager - Ellie developed a keen interest in acting from the age of 12 after being inspired by her drama teacher at Hawley Place School, now Hurst Lodge School, in Berkshire.
Mainstream success would soon follow, with the then 15-year-old starring alongside Cold Feet star Hermione Norris and Martin Clunes in 2012 miniseries A Mother's Son.
It would be the first of many carefully chosen TV roles, with Ellie taking another small part in The Musketeers before emerging as a star in her own right with the lead in a 2018 adaptation of Les Misérables.
The actress would play Cosette in an ensemble cast featuring Dominic West, David Oyelowo, Lily Collins and Derek Jacobi - who reunites with Ellie by playing the enigmatic Freud in her latest film.
By then her personal life was winning as many headlines as her professional endeavors, with Ellie embarking on a relationship with Scottish actor Richard Madden in 2017.
Richard had already established himself as a household name thanks to a prominent role as the ultimately doomed Robb Stark in HBO drama Game Of Thrones.
It was inevitable that the spotlight would intensify as Ellie made sporadic public appearances with the actor during an 18-month romance, during which he enjoyed further success in BBC drama Bodyguard.
By January 2019 her relationship with Richard was over after the couple experienced a rocky patch during which they 'argued every day'.
A source told The Sun: 'They were arguing almost daily towards the end and, despite considering couples' therapy, it became evident there were far too many issues that could not be fixed.
'Richard is the toast of Hollywood at the moment, and understandably wants to let his hair down.
'Ellie is a bit quieter, and wants to focus purely on her work. It felt like their day-to-day lives were increasingly becoming worlds apart.'

Beyonce suffers wardrobe malfunction as trousers drop mid-performance in London
To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Beyoncé's performances at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium kicked off tonight, as the star smoothly handled a rather embarrassing wardrobe malfunction. The Grammy Award-winning musician kicked off the first of her six shows at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 5. The dates are her first UK shows since her Renaissance World Tour in 2023 so have been hotly anticipated by fans – but things took a slight turn during one performance. The icon was performing on stage in a gold jumpsuit, flanked on either side by backup dancers. A kick and hand dance movement caused a little bit of a problem as the singer's trousers suddenly fell to the floor. Ever the professional, Bey was unfazed as she continued to perform with her trousers around her ankles, and a dancer quickly ran over to rectify the situation. After tonight, Beyoncé will go on to perform on June 7, 10, 12, 14, and 16, following a string of dates across America, where she will perform tracks from her eighth studio album. While the stadium opened its doors to 62,000 fans, some are worried about the rainy conditions ahead of the gig. In the lead-up fans were metaphorically and literally preparing to dance in the rain, with many camping out in preparation. A TikTok posted by user Paolatravell shows countless fans in tents around the venue as early as 4am this morning. The show is set to go ahead regardless of the weather, something one American fan claimed is actually lucky. Fan Madeline DeFreece, who managed to not only survive the rain, but claimed it added to the show, told Metro: 'This show was meant to be performed in the rain. The way the fabric moved on the contemporary dancers — I could not imagine it any differently.' She continued: 'At one point the cowboys had a Magic Mike moment, thrusting the floor of the stage and immediately I turned to my friend and said, 'We are so privileged to be in such a time and place.' I mean it was hot and provocative in a way that I don't think Beyoncé nor her team planned for.' More Trending Madeline also added: 'I'd pay to see it again, I'd pay even more to see it again in the rain.' To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Blue Ivy has become a firm fixture of Beyoncé's dance crew, but the sight of rarely-seen Rumi hugging her mum on stage has reduced fans to tears during the tour's run. During her first appearance on opening night at the Los Angeles SoFi Stadium, the tot walked on in a gold dress with Beyoncé, who wore glittering gold and green plaid chaps and bodysuit, and her sister during the song, Protector. It's unclear if Rumi will be taking to the stage tonight, but rest assured the event will still be a family affair with Blue Ivy putting in a shift as a dancer. Got a story? Sambousek Parramatta
✍️ Time Out Sydney never writes starred restaurant and bar reviews from hosted experiences – Time Out covers restaurant and bar bills, and anonymously reviews, so that readers can trust our critique. Find out more, here. The vibe Relaxed, modern and edgy, this Lebanese street food restaurant on Parramatta 's main eating strip, Church Street, is an excellent place to stop by for a cheap eat – perhaps on your way to or after a show at the Parramatta Riverside Theatres, or to take away and eat down by the river. The interiors have exposed brickwork, and there's a big sign painted on the brickwork in Lebanon's national colours, saying: Sambousek Lebanese Street Food. The counter is tiled around the edges in pretty Middle Eastern-style tiles, and there's a big, beautiful espresso machine on the countertop. You can walk in and take away, or there's seating out the back. The food One of our favourite things about Sambousek is the huge, lit menus above the counter, which show photos of pretty much every dish you can order – so you know exactly what you're going to get. The photos are bright and colourful, and the food all looks fresh and delicious. There are loads of options to choose from so it's not easy to narrow it down. If you have a really big appetite, it'll be satisfied with a 'Phoenician Meal' (a mixed plate), which all come with tabouli, coleslaw, babaganoush, hummus, mixed pickles, plus your choice of a range of mains, including chicken shish, beef kafta, falafel and more. There are pizzas – both the traditional Lebanese kind (manoush) as well as actual pizza pizzas (e.g. margherita, pepperoni and supreme). Then there are pides, chock-full wraps and a 'Kaak' section, which lists options served on big Lebanese sesame-seed rolls. There's the kaak burger with beef kafta, triple cheese, grilled onions, tomato, lettuce, pickles, Russian dressing and tomato sauce. Then there's a Reuben kaak, spicy chicken and prawn kaak, garlic chicken kaak, falafel kaak, vegie kaak and more. We order some manoush – the zaatar and cheese ($8), and the garlic chicken and cheese ($11). They're huge – like full-sized large pizzas – so that's dinner for two sorted for a ridiculously good $19. They're delicious – cheesy comfort food. The drink Sambousek is open every day from 8.30am so stop by for a delicious morning coffee (as long as you don't mind also leaving with a snack; we know you'll be tempted). Time Out tip Order the actual sambousek (a savoury pastry, like the Lebanese version of an empanada). You can pick from beef, cheese or mixed, and it's $10 for four of them. These are the best restaurants in Parramatta.

Lucien Baked Goods
Lucien Baked Goods is the baby of Parramatta 's most celebrated café, Circa Espresso (just a ten-minute walk away), which has won People's Choice award for Favourite Café in Time Out's Food & Drink Awards several times, including in 2025. Lucien opened in late 2023 as a hybrid bakery-café where you can come witness the pastry wizards at work while munching on oven-fresh croissants and sipping locally roasted coffee served in beautiful rustic mugs. I highly recommend the almond croissant. Light, flaky, buttery pastry encases a dense almond filling, and it's topped with a handful of crispy almond flakes and a dusting of icing sugar. Prime real estate is reserved in Lucien's pastry cabinet for fresh pastries and cakes, which are baked on-site multiple times during the day. If you're having lunch, grab one of the generously-packed bagels from the display, or if you're after a sweet treat, there are canelés, choux buns, seasonal tarts, danishes and Lucien's signature pistachio scroll of croissant dough, filled with pistachio cream and decorated with pistachio praline and rose petals. Good luck stopping at one. Cakes are available whole or by the slice including a burnt Basque cheesecake, gluten-free raspberry and almond Persian love cake, Russian honey cake (medovik) and hazelnut brownie topped with gianduja. Or make more of a meal of it by ordering a croque monsieur or madame, or a sujuk and egg wrap, off the menu. The selections lean into the Middle Eastern flavours that Circa regulars would recognise and love. It's no surprise that coffee is Circa's locally-roasted beans (which makes arguably the best coffee in Parramatta), and there are also house-made drinks like a lemon squash, chai lattes and Egyptian iced tea. You can take a slice of Lucien home with grab-and-go baked sourdough, baguettes and brioche; raw honeycomb; housemade chilli oil; jams and relishes. Atmosphere-wise, this place steers away from the converted warehouse chaos and quirks of Circa Espresso – Lucien has sleek, clean lines, earthy tones of natural wood, and natural daylight spilling through floor-to-ceiling glass windows. We sit at a table on the pavement because we're there on a nice, sunny day. The all-day bakery is backed by Circa's owner Aykut Sayan along with the café's head chef, Tom Clunie, and its pastry chef, Adeline Ribis (the café is also named after Clunie and Ribis' two children, Lucy and Bastien).
