Your belongings are about to be one-upped.
1. A bottle of Bio-Clean, a hard water stain remover that obviously works, because it looks like they haven't considered their marketing or packaging since the '80s; the results do all the talking! Made with biodegradable ingredients, this solution cuts through stains, rust, and weird spots caused by mineral build-up. Picture this: opaque shower doors, soap-scummy bathtubs, stained tiles, and cloudy-looking pool floors, all suddenly glistening and shining like new.
Reviewers say you still need to scrub, so arm yourself with a rigid sponge or the drill brush featured in this list to speed things up.
Promising reviews: "LOVE THIS! I hate cleaning my bathroom and using so many chemicals that never seem to work. I saw this product and decided to try it, and WOW it was so easy to use and worked like magic on my glass shower, shower tiles and sink/faucet. Picture 1: Before cleaning Picture 2: After cleaning glass before cleaning tile floor Picture 3: After Cleaning glass and tile floor. This is definitely a must-buy product!!!!" — Laura
"Wow. Don't waste your time with any other formulation that you found online. I've literally tried EVERYTHING! The soap/vinegar/baking soda, the expensive store-bought 'hard water cleaners.' I've scrubbed for HOURS! But this…. This product is like magic. It's kind of like a paste that you can rub on with a microfiber towel, and the hard water stains literally just RUB OFF. Like butter! Seriously the easiest option I have tried yet. I stopped within the first five minutes of cleaning to do this review because I'm in shock, lol. Coming from someone who never writes reviews! Take that as a sign to buy this immediately. What a game changer; I'm mad I'm just now finding this stuff." — _kayla_carter

2. A box of Color Catcher sheets to prevent the dreaded "all my clothes are now pink from this one stray red sock" debacle. These handy sheets are designed to grab any dye that leaks or bleeds so you can keep enjoying your white tees even if you're not sorting clothes into lights and darks.
Promising review:"These Color Catcher sheets really protect colors from bleeding. It makes all clothes/laundry brighter and looking like new — not that old washed color after just one wash without these sheets. I give this product 5+ stars. Highly recommend. A few pennies spent additionally on your laundry makes one look like wearing new clothes all the time." — Nikita

4. NYX Shine Loud liquid lipstick, a miracle product that has perfected the lip game. The deeply pigmented color doesn't smudge or transfer, even after eating, drinking...or kissing. Just swipe on the color, let it dry, then finish with the high-shine gloss on the opposite side of the tube.
BuzzFeed writer Katy Herman explains why this lippie stands above the rest: "This stuff is my new holy grail (check out me rocking the Rebel In Red shade, which has become my signature, on the left; I also love the pinkish-nude Trophy Life). It never ceases to amaze me. Just last week, I swiped some on for dinner, and there were still traces of it on my lips the next evening, even after eating several meals, kissing my BF, swimming, etc. This is the only lippie I have where my boyfriend trusts me to smooch him without transferring any, and he always asks why all lipsticks aren't like this 😅. Fair question! The rich, even color and the doe-foot applicator are also pluses for me. While it dries, it is a bit prone to getting on your teeth, but afterward you're SO good to go."
Promising review: "My friend introduced me to this, and OMG I swear by it. I literally put it on at 7 a.m. before work, ate lunch, drank my water all day, and it's still on and it's 8 p.m. Looks like I reapplied it, but I only put it on at 7 a.m. This is so good!! Must have!" — Love!

The only time I ever polished anything before it was messy and smelly and took forever. Therefore I didn't have any interest in polishing something that we weren't using. I decided to try these wipes because the price was reasonable. They are easy to use and do a wonderful job! The silverware looks silver! Promising review:"Best. Thing. Ever. This product works like a charm. It gets the sand from between their pads and is gentle enough that even my most stubborn pup tolerates it! I have a terrier/schnauzer who likes to dig, a mini golden doodle who is prissy about her paws, and a standard Labradoodle puppy who is still very fuzzy. We have a farm where it is extremely sandy and we stay in a travel trailer. The amount of sand they were tracking into the camper was ridiculous. It takes me three minutes to clean and dry off all of their paws. Seriously, the best purchase I have made!" — Rachel

With this particular one, I am able to steam my clothes super fast; it's very convenient if I'm in a time crunch. I really appreciate how it heats up so fast, and it takes very little time to steam my clothes because it works so well. I like how small it is, so I'm able to take it anywhere. Dries quickly, lasts longer, does NOT make your skin stinky, applies evenly, and you get a fair amount of product!! Other tanners I've used become VERY noticeable when they start fading. Promising review:"I got this product a few hours ago from Amazon and now have shiny floors! It gave the really dull hardwood floors of my prewar NYC apartment an impressive shine. Really impressive. A little goes a long way: I used only about two ounces to shine about 500 square feet of clean floors. Before using it on the floors, I tested the polish on an old wooden side table that was scarred and needed sanding. It looked a lot better afterward." — KindleCustomer2

21. A Revlon hot air brush for when you wanna look like you have an in-home stylist at your beck and call. Glossy, effortless waves are just a few brushes away!
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising reviews:"I am a licensed cosmetologist of 30+ years, and I couldn't be more pleased! Salon-perfect, shiny, bouncy blowouts! Dries and styles in one or two easy passes ( on damp hair) and provides maximum lift if I style it that way. Easily dries and styles large sections of hair making this THE BEST hairstyling tool! Highly recommend! I use the low setting and cool blast. Surprised and very happy that I don't need med/high settings. Only caveat I have come across so far: the temp/speed setting is in an awkward place to be able to change it while using. Learning curve, I suppose. Otherwise, another GREAT styling tool from Revlon! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️" — ERJ
"This review is for all the Black women looking for a good blow dryer for their hair. I have 4C (mainly) natural hair and got tired of using the regular dryers because they made my arms tired. I have thick, long hair, so blowdrying takes forever for me. This blow dryer was wonderful. I didn't even have to detangle before using it, and it dried my hair very nicely. I love it so much. My only complaint is it is bigger than I expected it to be. A little bulk,y but I will get used to it. Overall, I am loving this hair dryer so far and am glad I made the investment." — Johniece Elbert

25. Or a magnetic eyelash set so easy to use, you'll wonder how you were ever intimidated by applying falsies. The kit comes with a magnetic liquid eyeliner that you run across the upper lash line. Then you can just pop the lashes on without having to worry about messy glue or accidentally pasting lashes to your cheek.
The kit comes with false eyelashes, magnetic eyeliner, and an applicator.
Promising reviews: "With traditional faux lashes, you put the glue on the lash then you have to put it evenly right above your own eye lash. But if your eye tends to twitch or your hand shakes, you end up spending an hour trying to put the lashes on. You just give up. I know I tried and failed plenty of times. I paid big money to let a professional do it. But NOW I DO IT MYSELF!!" — Alfrita Fox
"I've tried several different types of false eyelashes...both glued and magnetic. These are the EASIEST to apply, most COMFORTABLE to wear, and they stay FIRMLY put until I remove them! 26. Hope's Perfect Sink solution that cleans and then basically creates a water-repellant force field over your sink to protect it from stains and damage. It works on everything from stainless steel to porcelain (along with cast iron, corian, composite, acrylic, etc.), ensuring that your sink rinses clean and shines like new, no matter how many cups of coffee you pour on it. Sue Storm would approve!
www.amazon.com
BuzzFeed editor Maitland Quitmeyer loves this stain-removing polish: "I bought this for my white porcelain kitchen sink, and I've since texted five people about it, which is really a lot for such a boring grown-up product. It cleans beautifully, but the *best* thing about it is its ability to repel stains after cleaning. You know that thing when you rinse out your coffee cup and the coffee water just lingers in your sin,k and you have to purposefully rinse it out for two minutes? You don't have to do that — the coffee can't stick to the sink and just goes RIGHT down the drain. Time saved, sink clean — this is really a Virgo dream product right here."
Promising review:"Holy banana peppers! This stuff ROCKS! I hate cleaning. You clean, stuff looks okay and smells nice for like an hour, and then it's as if you've never cleaned. We have a deep stainless steel sink that I love, except for the cleaning. It never looks clean, so cleaning it isn't exactly rewarding. I mean, I clean it because germs, pandemic, etc, but I don't like anything about it. I saw this on some BuzzFeed "things you should buy on Amazon" and ordered it. And ignored it. Now, as there's a quarantine, even as an essential worker, I really have no excuse to not clean. Sigh. I splooshed some in the sink, like I did with Barkeeper's Friend liquid, and scrubbed away as usual. However, when I went to rinse, it was all sparkly and shiny and the water beaded up! I seriously made my husband and daughter come into the kitchen to look at my sparkly sink! This is the cleanest this sink has ever been, and I seriously LOVE this product! Off to order more before you all read my review and discover its true awesomeness. I didn't take any pictures before because why the hell would I do that, but believe me, the difference is amazing!!" — Amazon Customer

Amazon, www.amazon.com
Juno & Co. is a small business specializing in personal care and skincare products.
Promising review:"I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!!! I found it on TikTok, and OMG!! It works so well. I don't have to sit there and rub the crap out of my eyelashes to get the waterproof mascara off. I will admit it doesn't take 100% of the makeup off, but about 95% of my makeup comes off. It is not water-resistant, as emulsifying it with water helps take the makeup off. I have not found a better makeup remover, and yes, that includes Micellar Water (which also works well but leaves my skin feeling oily). With this cleansing balm, my face feels hydrated and smooth. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!!!!! 1000/10 would recommend!!!" — Deetje Frederick

I have a Hoover Rug Scrubber, and this product is very easy to use with my machine. Carpet Miracle works amazingly well on stains and odors, even those that have set for a while. I did the carpet in the 'room of shame' twice just to be sure, although for normal soil and odors, once should be more than enough. It leaves behind a wonderfully clean, fresh scent, and the carpet feels and looks wonderful. You can tell Fido to stay off the couch all you want, but dogs don't speak Human! Instead, use this reusable roller to reclaim your seating.
www.amazon.com, www.amazon.com
Promising review:"Where has this been all my cat-loving life? Sticky rollers work fine for clothes, but this is the only product that has ever COMPLETELY removed all the cat hair from my bed. I have a long-haired 20-pound tabby, and if you run your hands up his back a few times and fling the hair everywhere, it looks like it's snowing — he never stops shedding no matter what I do. After using the ChomChom, I can put on a black dress and roll around on my bed and not get a single hair on me. It's absolutely amazing. Everyone is getting one for Christmas, even if they don't have a pet. I don't care — it's THAT good." — DH

Promising review: "A little gross, but I had a white bump/knot show up in my hand. I waited for it to go away, but it didn't. I tried poking it with a needle, but nothing came out. It became really sore, so I ordered this stuff and would cake it on under a bandage. After a day, the white place became larger but no longer hurt. Another day and I was able to squeeze what I guess was an infection or calcium deposit out easily! No more pain. I am glad I ordered this stuff." — Kelsie B.

37. A pack of carborundum sponges — YES, the stuff they make bulletproof vest plates out of — because tough jobs require tough solutions. Just dip one of these in water and start scouring — the nano-particles will get to work scraping off stubborn stains in your kitchen, garage, or outdoors.

The high-density sponges are squishy on the inside with an emery layer on the outside. They can be cut into smaller chunks for cleaning nooks and crannies.
Promising review: "Nice and thin. You'll find so many more uses for these around the house than just getting stuff off the underside of cookware! I had hard, scaly water deposits on the glass surrounding our powder room faucet (one of those fancy, highfalutin modern-looking things). I've tried everything for four years to get this stuff off. One day I thought, maybe i'll try my sponges. Took it all off super easily!!!! Faucet looks like new. My only rec is to spot-test your item first before using it because it will scratch certain surfaces if you scrub too aggressively (for example, it gets the burned-on, weird stuff off of the bottom of my fave Our Place pan, but I rubbed too hard in one spot and it took the color right off lol)." — Hoarder

21 Products Reviewers Say They Used From College On
A shower curtain with pockets — a true space-saving legend you'll be glad you bought freshman year. In the dorms, it'll hold your endless shampoo bottles and face masks; in your first apartment, it might graduate to wine bottles, kids' bath toys, or even a waterproof speaker. Trust me, it's one of those 'why doesn't everyone own this?' items. Promising review: "This is by far one of the best inventions EVER! So, I started getting these in college instead of having shower caddies—all the girls got a big pocket and small pocket —GREAT IDEA! Way less bulk and soap scum around the ledges where normal caddies would get left. As there was an extra pocket, it was a great place to put your phone or even a speaker while in the shower (our phones having waterproof cases, of course). Much like other shower curtains, you can just wash them in the washer or by hand and they are like new! This super durable curtain can be useful if you have kids — you can put their toys! Dogs? Put a treat or tennis ball in the pocket to keep them occupied while bathing them. Need some personal time? The large pockets also easily fit a bottle of wine and can be reached while soaking in the tub. I mean the uses for this thing are endless!" —Ms. Mary Get it from Amazon for $ my colleague's Maytex Quick Dry Pockets Shower Curtain review for more deets! A set of blackout curtains designed to turn 'just five more minutes' into full-on hibernation. They'll help you snooze through your 8 a.m.s now (oops) and keep streetlights from ruining your REM cycles in your future city apartment. Extra perk: they also muffle noise and help control the temperature, which means they're pulling triple duty for years to come. If you don't want to drill into the wall to install curtains, we recommend going with either a tension rod, Command hooks or brackets that connect to existing review: "This is my third time buying these curtains, been using them since college apartments, and now bought them for our guest bedroom. Does a great job of blocking sunlight and more light. These pictures are of the grey curtains." —EdogGet them from Amazon for $15.93+ (available in a variety of sizes and colors). Some foam earplugs that'll be the unsung hero of your backpack. They'll save you from all-night parties in the room next door, rescue your sanity during red-eye flights, help you stay focused in the library, and provide sanctuary from any future partners who snore like chainsaws. Promising review: "I initially bought these to help during my college exams in a computer lab. The constant clacking of keys and clicks of everyone's mouse was distracting me. I only use one, and it completely drowned out the sound in that ear. I started using them when I sleep during the day (I work nights) and use them in both ears. It's silent. I can't hear anything. These are good. I highly recommend. I also have a child who doesn't like loud noises, and she used them during a fireworks show. They didn't fit all the way in her ear (I didn't force them either) and she said they worked well for her." —JASGet a bottle of 50 earplugs from Amazon for $16.49. A lap desk so your 'desk' can be wherever you want it to be. It's a lifesaver for Netflix-fueled paper writing in bed. After graduation, it's perfect for weekend emails, crafting sessions, or balancing your tablet while streaming a full season of your fave show in one sitting. Promising reviews: "I bought this for college. You don't always want to sit at a table or bar. It can be uncomfortable after a period of time. You can chill on your couch or recliner and use this. It works great. I should've bought this a lot earlier." —David"Going back to college has been a challenge for me working two jobs and having four kids. This has made it so much easier to sneak off in my room to do my school work!!!" —AshleyGet it from Amazon for $33.24+ (available in nine colors). A memory foam seat cushion that's basically an apology letter to your tailbone. You'll love it for marathon study sessions now, and it'll stick with you for remote work days, long gaming sessions, or anytime you're trapped in a chair longer than you planned. It's designed to relieve pressure on your tailbone, and reviewers say it's great for reducing lower back reviews: "I'm a college student, and I just moved not too long ago so a lot of my free time is spent sitting in my office chair (probably 10 hours a day). I have one of those gaming chairs that are really common, and in no time at all, the cushion decayed. This product has revolutionized my chair, making it feel brand new. I will probably continue to buy these over brand-new chairs every so often. This is cheaper and equally, if not more, effective than buying a new chair. 💯!" —cody"I broke my tailbone and was in excruciating pain for over 4 months. I got this cushion when I first broke it and was able to sit down, and it was AMAZING. Seriously!!! It allowed my tailbone to heal because it wasn't pressed down on when I sat down. It's been over 6 months (still in pain, but it's way less pain), and I use it every single day. It got me through some of my studies as a college student with mostly online classes. I now bring the cushion to the couch, dinner table, etc. I recommend this to people without injuries, too. It has helped improve my posture so much and takes away the strain of trying to maintain a good posture if you are injured or just too tired to sit up straight. Love this thing. Buy it, please." —Kel. C. Get it from Amazon for $45.99 (available in six colors). A power strip so you can keep every gadget, charger, and hair appliance plugged in at once. It'll be a dorm lifesaver when you're sharing two outlets with a roommate — and in your next apartment, it'll still be the reason your phone, laptop, lamp, and coffee maker can coexist. This power strip also doubles as a surge reviews: "This is an excellent option for a dorm room. Dorm rooms generally have limited outlets, and colleges often have restrictions on what types of extension cords are acceptable. This round power strip works well under a small desk, meets the residential hall guidelines, and includes ports for directly charging phones and other devices. Perfect." —bsaucoin"Y'all, I have had this thing since my freshman year of college (August of 2018) and I still have it!!!! It still works perfectly and I love it so so so so much! It's an essential for me, and it fits anywhere; it's great quality! They can be heavy, but I think that's a good thing because it isn't surprisingly heavy in weight. Great for the price, and the cord length has never been an issue for me from the bed or my desks in college! 5 stars all the way." —Gabrielle JamesGet it from Amazon for $25.99 (also available in black). A swivel desk chair which nails the sweet spot between comfort and style. It'll make late-night cram sessions feel less torturous, and when you've moved on to your first real home office, you'll be glad you didn't settle for the squeaky, lumpy alternative. Promising review: "Excellent product for a reasonable price! The product description/details were accurate. I am a 61-year old female, who put this together myself in approximately 45-minutes. It is lightweight, yet sturdy. I purchased this chair for my daughter, who is a college student and studies long hours at the table. She confirms that the chair is so helpful! It looks nice, too." —CherylGet it from Amazon for $129.99 (also available in white). A pair of blue light–blocking glasses to save your eyes from the endless hours of screen time that college life demands. They'll carry you through late-night essay edits, gaming breaks, and online lectures, then stick around for your first desk job when spreadsheets and Zoom calls are your new professors. Electronic devices emit a lot of blue light, which your eyes do a terrible job of blocking. Over time, blue light may strain your eyes and lead to macular degeneration, the leading cause of vision loss. Computer glasses that filter blue light can help reduce the amount of blue light you're exposed to, plus you don't need a prescription to wear them and they work even if you're already wearing review: "I work at a job that requires me to look at screens pretty much all day. I'm also a college student who takes my classes online and looks at my phone regularly. I began getting increasingly bad headaches and researched possible explanations. Constant blue light screen exposure was the most likely for my specific lifestyle. Since getting these glasses, my frequency and severity of headaches has gone completely down from before. Not only that, these glasses are adorable and can fit just about any face shape. Great quality and work wonderfully. Highly recommend." —MadisonGet them from Amazon for $11.19+ (available in 34 colors and styles). A cold brew maker here to single-handedly slash your coffee shop spending. Freshman year, it's your antidote to overpriced campus lattes; later, it's your secret weapon for Monday mornings when you'd rather roll out of bed than roll into a café line. It brews a quart (4 cups), so you should have enough java to get you through the day (and maybe some left over to share with your favorite coworker).Promising review: "Bought this several times. Originally recommended by a friend and now we can't live without it! So easy to use and no bitterness. Only problem is we go through the cold brew so fast I usually put it in a separate pitcher so I can start brewing the next batch so we never run out!. We ended up using it so much I had to buy my daughter her own to take to college. The pitcher is plastic and I was initially disappointed but it turns out it is so much better in plastic and easy to use and clean." —OCMomEsqGet it from Amazon for $24.14+ (available in two sizes and three colors). A white-noise machine for transforming chaotic dorm acoustics into a calming backdrop of rain, ocean waves, or gentle thunder. Plus, it's lightweight and portable so you can bring good sleep with you reviews: "This product is amazing as I have just moved into my college apartment. It perfectly drowns out the noise as you can adjust the volume and change sounds depending on which in you like. Personally I enjoy the white noise feature and I leave it on all night. I also chose to plug it into an outlet since it comes with the plug and block but you may also decide to use batteries. If you use batteries I suggest you leave it on the timer setting which allows for a 15,30, or 60 minute timer and then it will automatically turn off. It's been a game changer for my sleep and I highly recommend!!!" —Gianna Moraci"I use this every night! I am a college student and there have been times when I would sleep through my alarms and would miss class. I tried different methods, like changing up my alarm and setting one far away. I even used an alarm app that made me solve math problems to turn it off, but that failed because I would just delete the app in my sleep to shut it up. This alarm clock has been a lifesaver in making sure I wake up in time for class. It always startles me awake and gets my heart racing, so I don't even feel like going back to sleep. It's been about 10 years and it's still going strong. I use it almost every day at work and have used it pretty consistently over the last decade. No issues whatsoever with overheating (even when I accidentally leave it on for longer than planned), and it keeps my drinks perfect. I also have one of those cute little iron teapots, and it keeps that thing perfectly warm for hours and hours. When (if?) mine dies, I will definitely buy another. Child-Free People, What Are The Wildest Things Parents Have Said When They Learned You Don't Want Kids
Whether or not you choose to have children is honestly nobody's business but your own, but that doesn't stop other adults from weighing in with their unsolicited takes. Considering this, I wanted to hear from you — our BuzzFeed Community. If you've chosen to be child-free, what has been the wildest reaction from parents around you? Maybe you and your partner are friends with a couple who have three children. They're always running on fumes and expressing how exhausted and stressed they are. However, when you both mentioned that you'll be remaining child-free, they gasped and claimed you weren't doing your part to keep the world turning. As if it's all up to you. Related: Or, maybe you told your parents you had no interest in procreating, and they guilted you for robbing them of their only chance at being able to right all the wrongs they committed when raising you. YOUR child was supposed to be their second chance. Related: Or maybe it was someone in line at a coffee shop. You had your nephew with you, and when they commented that you both looked so much alike, you mentioned that you weren't their parent and just babysitting. You also said you wouldn't be having any of your own, and the coffee shop lady scoffed. She said that you're what's wrong with your generation. That you're just too lazy to put in the work of child rearing, and it's really such a shame. Whatever the case may be, we want to hear about it. If you're child-free, we want to know the wildest thing someone has said to you about your decision. Share in the comments or via this anonymous form below.
