Pankaj Korpade from MIT-World Peace University, in collaboration with Pratiksha Chalke of Sustaina Greens LLP, published a paper on how, over the past decade, Pune has experienced a 34% decline in its carbon sequestration capacity, primarily due to rapid urbanisation. The study was published in the journal Sustainable Futures.
Researchers from NIT Rourkela have developed a semiconductor device-based biosensor that can identify breast cancer cells without complicated or expensive laboratory procedures. The research was led by Prof. Prasanna Kumar Sahu, Department of Electrical Engineering, and research scholar Priyanka Karmakar. The findings were published in the Microsystem Technologies journal.
