Swiss Authorities begin dissolution proceedings against "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" branch
Geneva – SABA: The Swiss Federal Supervisory Authority for Foundations announced on Wednesday the initiation of dissolution procedures against the Geneva-registered branch of the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" (GHF), citing failure to meet legal requirements. The notice was published in the Swiss Official Gazette of Commerce. According to the notice, "the authority may order the dissolution of the foundation within a 30-day legal deadline," as reported by *Palestine Online. The authority stated that the foundation failed to meet basic registration conditions, including having an adequate number of board members, a valid postal address, or a Swiss bank account. Per Reuters, the foundation—registered in Delaware, USA, and overseeing food parcel distribution in Gaza with U.S. support under Israeli occupation supervision—informed Swiss authorities that it "has not conducted any activity in Switzerland" and "intends to dissolve its Geneva branch." Last week, Geneva authorities issued a separate legal notice giving the foundation 30 days to rectify "regulatory deficiencies" or face further legal action. The Swiss Federal Authority demanded clarifications by the end of June, "given its failure to comply with legal obligations." The authority noted multiple shortcomings: - No authorized board member residing in Switzerland - Fewer than three founding board members (as required by its bylaws) - No Swiss bank account or valid Swiss address - No auditing body Controversy Over Aid Distribution & Alleged Complicity The GHF began distributing food parcels in Gaza in late May, but its operational model has drawn international criticism for "lack of neutrality. Hundreds of Palestinian civilians have been killed near or en route to its distribution centers due to Israeli military attacks. Most UN agencies and humanitarian organizations in Gaza refuse to cooperate with the GHF, questioning its mechanisms and principles. Since its launch, over 580 Palestinians have been martyred in mass shootings near its aid points, according to Gaza's Health Ministry. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Sheikh Qassem: Hezbollah will not accept humiliation or surrender of land, weapons to Israeli Enemy
Beirut – SABA: The Secretary-General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, emphasized that anyone who believes the Israeli enemy's threat is limited to Palestinians and Lebanese is gravely mistaken, as the Israeli enemy poses a comprehensive strategic danger. Speaking on the seventh night of Ashura commemorations at the Sayyid al-Shuhada Complex (AS) in Beirut's southern suburbs, Sheikh Qassem stated that confronting the Israeli entity is not merely about opposing an occupying force on Palestinian land, but about resisting a strategic threat to Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, and the entire region and world. He stressed that the Israeli enemy, through its ideology and actions, represents a real danger, and confronting it is not a simple matter but a battle against a strategic menace. Sheikh Qassem noted that those who refuse to confront the Israeli enemy under the pretext of not belonging to Hezbollah's Islamic line should at least oppose it on humanitarian grounds, as the Israeli enemy endangers everyone, including Christians, Jews, Americans, and the entire world. He referenced statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who openly declared plans to reshape and reprogram the "New Middle East" in alignment with the Zionist entity. Despite the recent ceasefire agreement, Sheikh Qassem pointed out that the Israeli enemy remains the persistent aggressor, having committed over 3,700 violations. While the international community monitors these breaches, its responses are limited to calls for minor concessions, whereas Hezbollah continues to resist the Israeli enemy as it always has. He affirmed that Israel constantly plans aggression and expansion, directly impacting Lebanese lives and regional stability, and stressed the necessity of saying "no" and confronting this aggression. Sheikh Qassem reiterated Hezbollah's rejection of any threats of force or foreign interference in internal decisions, declaring that the party will never accept humiliation, surrender of land or weapons to the Israeli enemy, or compromise on rights guaranteed by international law and divine principles. He emphasized that Hezbollah was raised on the path of Imam Hussein (AS) and the Master of Martyrs, Sayyed Hassan (AS), and has made sacrifices to defend this path and ensure its continuity. The party's voice soars high with the slogan "Humiliation is far from us," and no pressure will sway its stance, for it stands with truth, while the Israeli enemy and America are the aggressors against Lebanon and the region. Gaza's Awqaf Ministry: Graves exhausted across most of Strip
Gaza – SABA: The Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs in Gaza announced on Wednesday evening that graves have been completely depleted across most areas of the Strip, as the Israeli aggression continues and the number of martyrs rises. The ministry stated that the tragic reality has forced families to use hospital courtyards, schools, and residential areas as emergency burial sites. In a statement, the ministry reported that since October 2023, the enemy has completely or partially destroyed over 40 cemeteries and prevented civilians from accessing many graveyards located within its military-controlled zones. This has led to the exhaustion of existing burial grounds and a severe shortage of available space. The ministry emphasized that the ongoing siege and the blockade on funeral shrouds, construction materials, and essential burial supplies have deprived martyrs of their right to a proper Islamic burial. It further noted that the enemy's forced evacuation and displacement orders toward the so-called "Al-Mawasi humanitarian zone" have reduced available burial space, resulting in the piling up of martyrs' bodies in hospitals, which are already overwhelmed by the rising death toll. The ministry appealed to Arab and Islamic nations, relief organizations, and charitable donors to join the "Dignity for Martyrs" campaign, which aims to build dignified, cost-free graves and provide essential burial supplies as an urgent humanitarian and religious priority. Since the start of Israel's aggression on Gaza in October 2023, the population has faced catastrophic and worsening humanitarian conditions. With the death toll reaching tens of thousands, the burial crisis has become one of the most unprecedented challenges for Gaza's society—especially amid the direct targeting of cemeteries, restricted access to burial sites, and the lack of essential burial materials.
