Originally broadcast in Japan from 1996 to 2004, Kochikame spanned over 300 episodes total, and has never before been released in North America in English language… until now!
Adapted from Osamu Akimoto's long-running and beloved manga series, Kochikame tracks the zany, day-to-day misadventures of Kankichi Ryotsu, a hapless but good-hearted cop at an ordinary Tokyo neighborhood police station in Katsushika Ward. Famous for its combination of wacky, slapstick, comedy, social commentary, and humanist storytelling, the franchise became an immediate cultural phenomenon in Japan.
The manga's main serialization ended in September 2016 after a remarkable 40-year serialization, earning it recognition as one of the longest-running manga series in history. As of June 2016, it had 150 million copies in circulation. The very last official chapter ended in 201, which was published in Japan in October 2021, but Akimoto has published a dozen or so special/chapter-length epilogues since then.

6 ways Jason and Lucia could do better than Michael and Trevor in GTA 6

(Image via Rockstar Games) GTA VI's new protagonists, Jason and Lucia, have already set the internet ablaze. With a crime-filled dynamic reminiscent of Bonnie and Clyde, fans are wondering: can they truly rival the chaotic brilliance of Michael and Trevor from GTA V ? Rockstar's new duo in Leonida (GTA's version of Florida) might just redefine the franchise's legacy. Here's how: 1. Their Relationship Feels Fresh and Intense Michael and Trevor were long-time frenemies. Their chemistry was built on shared history and betrayal. But Jason and Lucia? They're partners-in-crime and romance. That dual tension—loyalty vs survival—adds a raw edge to their every decision. The stakes feel personal, and in GTA, personal means unpredictable. Who Is Lucia Caminos (GTA VI LORE) 2. Lucia Brings a New Protagonist Energy Let's be honest: GTA has never had a playable female protagonist. Lucia changes that. Her presence adds fresh narrative ground, unexplored motivations, and a unique perspective to the chaos. She's smart, fearless, and emotionally layered, making her as complex as Michael and just as explosive as Trevor. 3. Jason Could Be GTA's Coolest Criminal Yet Jason seems like the chill mastermind—like a younger Michael, but grittier and more hands-on. He isn't just the muscle; he plans, calculates, and strikes when needed. If Michael was the retired kingpin, Jason is the streetwise upstart trying to become one. That underdog arc could hit hard. 4. Vice City's Modern Vibe Beats Los Santos' Familiarity Michael and Trevor thrived in Los Santos, a playground built on Hollywood stereotypes and Vinewood madness. But Jason and Lucia have Leonida. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Switch to UnionBank Rewards Card UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo From beach parties and swamp shootouts to viral crime clips, Vice City in 2025 is sleek, scary, and social-media soaked. Their world is faster—and so are their crimes. 5. More Dynamic Heists and Chaos Trevor brought the mayhem. Michael brought the planning. But Jason and Lucia might bring both together. With improved AI, tighter co-op mechanics, and dual protagonist tactics teased in the trailer, expect smarter, riskier, and more cinematic heists. Their chemistry could make every job feel like a ticking time bomb. GTA 6 Jason Duval & Lucia Caminos Story Analysis & Predictions 6. They're Made for This Generation Michael and Trevor were icons of 2013. But Jason and Lucia are TikTok-age outlaws. They're filmed robbing stores. They livestream chaos. They trend. That level of cultural awareness could make them feel more relevant and more dangerous than any duo before them. Jason and Lucia aren't just replacing Michael and Trevor. They're redefining what a GTA duo can be. Their bond is deeper, their world is wilder, and their ambition feels bigger. If Rockstar nails the storytelling, this pair might just steal the crown—and a few banks along the way.

Brian Schottenheimer takes Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys team to a footwork dance class, a fan says: '5-12 season upcoming'

(Image via Getty: Brian Schottenheimer) The new head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, Brian Schottenheimer, took quarterback Dak Prescott and the rest of the team, Joe Milton, Will Grier, Steve Shimko, and their families, for a footwork dance class. A few days back, Schottenheimer shared with Jon Machota of The Athletic that more than the football, it's the outside world of his players that interests him. Schottenheimer said, 'We try to get four or five or six guys together and just go talk about life. Football rarely comes up. We do football all day long. What I want to know is what Javonte(Williams) named his dog. And where does this story come from, and all those things.' — Brandoniswrite (@Brandoniswrite) Brian Schottenheimer wants the team players of the Dallas Cowboys to love one another The head coach talked about how camaraderie outside of the gridiron helps each one of the players build camaraderie on the gridiron. Schottenheimer said, 'For them to share their stories with their teammates allows them - when they're out there on the field, and they're having a tough day, and it's hot, and they're pushing through a padded practice in Oxnard, they're able to truly pull together and work together. I think that's going to help us finish games - finish practices. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Attention changemakers! You work through those problems because they believe in one another, and more importantly, they love each other.' Tap dancing to Greek music could help improve the footwork of quarterbacks in America's Team Someone who values a player outside of the gridiron is trying to turn that person into a great human being first. Once he's a great human being, he'll become a great NFL player on the gridiron! What a well-founded strategy the 51-year-old former offensive coordinator for the Dallas Cowboys has found for the team! The America's Team players were tap-dancing to Greek music. They looked happy, contended, and as if they were enjoying their time tap-dancing. At the end of the tap dancing, Joe Milton took center stage, where he performed contemporary dance. But the others around him? They threw glass plates at him! Probably another strategy implied by their head coach? How not to leave your concentration on what you're doing (freestyle dancing) when you're surrounded by troubles(glass plates thrown and broken all around)? On watching the whole of the Dallas Cowboys team make a circle and dance to beautiful, rhythmic Greek music, one fan commented, 'This is smart. It brings camaraderie and makes the qb's work to improve their foot work.' Another fan said, 'This is what building a team looks like.' Fans criticize Cowboys HC Brian Schottenheimer's ways of building camaraderie among the team players Everybody must be wondering what paintball trips and footwork dance classes have to do with playing or practicing football in the offseason. Some comments over X scream that in particular: 'I'm really trying figure out how all this shit he doing translate to winning', 'Am i the only one who gets a feeling this is gonna end in a disaster', 'This is so cringes. Like the Tech companies brought 'culture' into the workplace. And a ping pong table', '5-12 season upcoming' and '6-11 loading as we speak.' Brian Schottenheimer is trying his level best to build camaraderie, team spirit, and going-beyond-the-jerseys chemistry, but it just doesn't seem to sit well with many, many fans. Some of them looked angry in the comments section, 'Win some games holy sh*t', 'Sh*t like this iz why cowboys wont win sh*t for another30 yrs', and 'Either this is gunna be very corny and not work for this team or shotty is really up to something for the culture for this team and winning.
