Joshua Jackson Hinted At His 'Close' Relationship With His Ex And Former 'Dawson's Creek' Co-Star, Katie Holmes
Joshua Jackson has nothing but love for his former Dawson's Creek co-stars, including his ex, Katie Holmes.
For a reminder, Katie and Joshua starred on Dawson's Creek for six seasons between 1998 and 2003. And just like their characters on the show, Katie and Joshua became an item, dating for one year starting in 1998.
When asked about her relationship with Joshua during an interview with Rolling Stone, a then-19-year-old Katie said: 'I'm just going to say that I met somebody last year. I fell in love, I had my first love, and it was something so incredible and indescribable that I will treasure it always.'
As we now know, Katie and Joshua didn't last, and as their careers blossomed, they both went on to marry and subsequently divorce other people. Today, the former co-stars are both navigating dating and parenting in the spotlight, and in a new interview, Joshua gave a rare update on their relationship.
Appearing on Jesse Ferguson's Dinner's On Me podcast this week, Joshua opened up about how he and his famous Dawson's Creek co-stars came together to support their fellow cast member James Van Der Beek after he revealed his colorectal cancer diagnosis in November last year.

'James is going through something really, truly terrible right now,' he said. 'And, I wish I could take credit for this, but I was kind of the absentee partner here, but the girls all got together and were like, 'We need to do something to help this guy out.''
Giving a mention to his former colleagues, Joshua opened up about how they're all 'forged' together to this day. 'Busy [Philipps] and Michelle [Williams] are very, very close. And Katie and I are very close,' he said. 'It's not a daily call. Sometimes it's not a weekly or monthly or even a half-yearly call. But when you're together, A, there's always that, like, I know you know.'
Getty Images
'And B, there is, you know, these moments, like, these major moments in life are, like, other than your husband, there's probably no other people in your life that you are that forged to,' he continued. 'Because you had to go through good and bad, and happy and fuck you, and don't talk to me and I love you.'
With that in mind, it's no wonder so many former castmates — particularly on TV shows — stay so close. And, of course, it's hardly a surprise that Katie and Joshua have remained on good terms when you consider that they cordially worked together for years between their 1999 breakup and the end of Dawson's Creek in 2003.
As far as we know, neither Katie nor Joshua is in a confirmed public relationship right now…so, could a rekindling be on the cards for these two? LMK your thoughts in the comments.

'Well, it seems like the palace has tackled this this time by just not inviting them at all,' he added. 'So, you know, it's significant.' Despite moving across the pond, some officials thought Prince Harry and the actress would still be invited to events such as Trooping the Colour. 13 Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, Queen Camilla, King Charles III, Prince Louis of Wales, Prince William, Prince of Wales, Prince George of Wales, Catherine, Princess of Wales and Princess Charlotte of Wales and Prince Edward, Duke of Kent wave from the balcony.
