Iraqi News6 hours ago

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a phone conversation to review the rapidly evolving security situation in the region, particularly in light of the growing conflict between Israel and Iran.
Prime Minister Al-Sudani strongly criticized Israel's attacks on Iranian territory, describing them as a serious breach of international law and a direct threat to regional peace.
Al-Sudani also voiced firm opposition to the unauthorized use of Iraqi airspace, calling it a violation of national sovereignty and international norms.
In response, the Emir of Qatar reaffirmed his country's solidarity with Iraq and expressed full support for its efforts to safeguard national sovereignty and pursue diplomatic solutions aimed at easing regional tensions.
Both leaders underscored the urgent need for enhanced coordination among Arab and Islamic nations to prevent further escalation, halt Israeli military actions, and support efforts to revive dialogue between Tehran and Washington.

Trump urges 'Real End' to Iran nukes

Shafaq News/ US President Donald Trump called for a 'real end' to Iran's nuclear ambitions and hinted at possible diplomatic engagement, as Tehran and Tel Aviv continued exchanging missile and drone attacks for the fifth consecutive day. Trump floated the idea of dispatching US Middle East Envoy Steve Witkoff or Vice President JD Vance for potential talks with Tehran. 'I may,' he remarked aboard Air Force One, according to a CBS reporter posting on X after Trump departed the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Canada on Monday. BREAKING: Trump wants "a real end" to the nuclear problem with Iran and this morning will find him in the White House Situation Room, monitoring developments in Middle East, he told us during his midnight departure from Canada. "I didn't say I was looking for a ceasefire," he… — Jennifer Jacobs (@JenniferJJacobs) June 17, 2025 The US president also warned that Israel was unlikely to ease its military operations against Iran. 'You're going to find out over the next two days. Nobody's slowed up so far,' the reporter quoted him as saying. A Politico pool report noted that Trump is pushing for a 'complete give up' of Iran's nuclear program—calling it essential to any possible deal. Since Friday, Israeli warplanes have carried out wide-scale strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities that killed senior commanders and leading scientists, alleging that Iran was approaching the point of no return in its nuclear weapons pursuit. Iran, which maintains its program is purely peaceful, responded with successive missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli cities and military bases, as both sides report rising casualties. While Israel claims it now controls Iranian airspace and plans further escalation, a US intelligence assessment reported by CNN revealed that Iran was not actively pursuing a nuclear weapon and 'was also up to three years away from being able to produce and deliver one to a target of its choosing.' Trump doubled down in a Truth Social post late Monday: 'Simply stated, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON. I said it over and over again! Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!' His rhetoric drew strong criticism from Beijing. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun accused Trump on Tuesday of exacerbating the conflict. 'Fanning the flames, pouring oil, making threats and mounting pressure will only intensify and widen the conflict,' he said, urging influential actors to intervene and reduce tensions.

Tehran University Professor Mohammad Marandi: I Advise Israelis to Leave - They Should Go Back to the U.S., Europe, Arab Countries, or Africa; Israeli Attacks Caused Little Damage, Most Targets Were D

Tehran University professor Mohammad Marandi told American podcasters on June 15 and 16, 2025, that the damage from Israeli attacks is significantly less than reported by Western media. He claimed that the Israeli warheads used were much smaller than those deployed by Iran, and that many of the Iranian jets, missiles, and radar systems reportedly destroyed were in fact decoys placed to mislead Israel into wasting its missiles without inflicting real damage. Marandi said that Iran has not yet used its newer and more destructive weaponry against Israel. He also accused Israel of placing its anti-missile defense systems in 'the middle of Tel Aviv, in crowded streets.' Marandi advised Israelis to 'go back home' — to the United States, Europe, Arab countries, or Africa. Marandi made these remarks in interviews with Sabrina Salvati on Sabby Sabs and Andrew P. Napolitano on Judge Napolitano – Judging Freedom, both on YouTube.

Michigan Teacher and Activist Tarek Bazzi Shares AI-Generated Video Depicting Iran Destroying Israel, and States: The Resistance Is Fighting the Forces of U.S. Imperialism and Zionist Colonialism on B

On June 15, 2025, Michigan teacher and activist Tarek Bazzi, affiliated with the Hadi Institute, shared two consecutive videos on his Instagram story. In the first, he praised 'the resistance and its people,' saying they are fighting 'in the way of God,' on behalf of all humanity, against the 'arrogant and tyrannical forces of U.S. imperialism and Zionist colonialism.' In the next story, Bazzi shared an AI-animated video depicting Iranian military forces destroying Israel. The clip opens with Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei leaning on a rifle and addressing IRGC commanders, declaring: 'The beginning of the end has arrived.' The video, titled True Promise, the name of Iran's anti-Israel military campaign, was created by Zill-E-Abbas Khwaja, a UK-based creative AI generator, and posted to the Shadow of Abbas Instagram account. It is worth noting that Bazzi was the MC of the April 2024 Al-Quds Day rally in Dearborn, where the crowd chanted 'Death to America!' Usama Abdulghani, who also spoke at the rally, said in a June 12, 2025 Friday sermon at the Hadi Institute that Iran is doing a favor for mankind by attacking Israel.
