UFC on ESPN 71 video: Neil Magny grounds and pounds Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos for TKO

Neil Magny is inevitable. The UFC welterweight fight, wins, decision wins, total fight time, total strikes and significant strikes leader returned to the win column with an impressive stoppage of Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos at UFC on ESPN 71. The bout took place at the UFC Apex, and came to an end by TKO at 4:39 of Round 2. Magny (30-13 MMA, 23-12 UFC) fought through a close opening round that two of the official judges scored for dos Santos (25-10-1 MMA, 11-6-1 UFC). In the second round, the fight went to the ground, where Magny worked through a few tough positions from his back. Once he found space to get out, Magny took dos Santos back to the mat, secured back control, and proceeded to rain down heavy ground and pound until referee Mark Smith saw enough. Check out video of the finish below (via X): With the result, Magny snaps a two-fight skid to pick up his 30th career win just a few hours before his birthday.
