Lidl launches new Dubai Chocolate spread in stores

This follows on from the supermarket releasing its own version of the viral Dubai Chocolate bar back in March.
The concept of the confection received attention on TikTok in 2024, a few years after it was created by Sarah Hamouda of FIX Dessert Chocolatier in 2021.
It combined pistachio nuts and milk chocolate alongside some Middle Eastern flavours, which caught the eye of many food reviewers.
Lidl released a £3.99 version of this with the J.D. Gross Dubai-Style Chocolate bar on their TikTok shop on March 20.
A limited stock of 6,000 bars was sold out within an hour, with around 72 bars being purchased per minute, according to the supermarket.
Due to its popularity, Lidl made the bars available to buy in its stores at the end of the same month.
Now it is releasing a Della Sante Dubai-Style Chocolate Cream for £3.99, with the aim to "satisfy every sweet tooth".
Lidl Dubai Chocolate spread set to release in May 2025
According to Lidl, the spread features "a delectable blend of smooth chocolate, sweet cream, salty pistachio and crisp, golden Kadayfi pastry for an added crunch".
It adds: "The latest Dubai Chocolate innovation brings the same viral-worthy indulgence, this time in an irresistibly spreadable form.

"With the new Dubai-Style Chocolate Cream priced at just £3.99 on Lidl Plus, pistachio lovers can wave du-bye to the hefty price tag, and enjoy this luxury for less.
"Whether slathered on toast, piled high on pancakes, or spooned straight from the jar, every bite is a sweet symphony of pistachio crunch, cream, and rich cocoa that customers are guaranteed to pistachi-go nuts for."
The spread will be available to buy in Lidl stores from Thursday, May 29, while stocks last.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster's undeniable chemistry on show in resurfaced clip

and Sutton Foster 's palpable chemistry is on full display in a recently resurfaced clip. The Aussie A-lister, 56, went public with Sutton, 50, in January after months of speculation about a romance. However, a clip from 2022, uploaded to TikTok, shows the co-stars going 'off-script' for a flirtatious exchange The clip, uploaded by user shows the pair on stage during a performance of the Broadway musical The Music Man. The plot revolves around Foster's character Marian Paroo, falling for charming con man Harold Hill, played by the Wolverine star. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. While a certain amount of chemistry is required to pull off the on-stage relationship, it appears the co-stars went above and beyond in the resurfaced clip. The video shows the future couple in a tense exchange on stage that is punctuated by Foster briskly shoving Jackman in frustration. However, in a 'fourth wall' breaking moment, Jackman goes off script and playfully begins to sashay toward his co-star while beginning to remove his jacket. The display caused Foster to break character too, laughing along with the audience at Hugh's flirtatious advance The caption on the video read: 'If you're surprised by Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster, let me remind you this is how freaked out they were during Music Man in 2022.' While the audience appeared to be enjoying the playful exchange, it was a sentiment not shared by many in the comments. Fans were quick to slam the pair for 'ruining' the scene with the cheeky improvisation. 'I saw this production,' one commented. 'Their consistent breaking of the fourth wall and mugging to the audience really ruined a wonderful musical. I was very disappointed.' Another chimed in with a similar: 'I saw it too and felt the same way. It was awful how many times they broke the fourth wall. It turned slapstick.' Others claimed the exchange was not as spontaneous as the actors might have you believe. 'They did this little 'fake break' every night,' one theatre fan suggested, while another offered: 'The fact that this 'break' was written into the production is so embarrassing.' One fan however, was quick to come to the co-stars' defence with: 'No one in these comments knows how to have fun. 'I saw this production twice and thought they were funny and charming and it's the only time I've ever like Marion.' Jackman and Foster went public with their relationship in January this year after splitting from their respective partners. The Wolverine star split with his wife of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness in September 2023, while Foster filed for divorce from her husband Ted Griffin in October 2024. The resurfaced clip comes after Furness opened up about her feelings of 'betrayal' in a blistering statement to the Daily Mail. Their split appeared to turn bitter when she spoke about her 'traumatic journey of betrayal' in the wake of her divorce filing last month. 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal,' she said. 'It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.' She continued: 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. 'I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' She concluded her statement with the 'one thing' she has learned, which is 'that none of this is personal.' Hugh has yet to release his own statement on the split, but a source told the Daily Mail he had been left 'extremely disappointed' by Deborra-Lee's words as he believed they had an 'understanding' they would not publicly trash one another. 'There was no stipulation that she could not address this but there was an unwritten understanding that she would not trash him to the press,' an insider said. 'She got around this by not naming him - instead focusing on how she felt.'

American busker in UK trying to earn cash to get home makes just £5 profit

Blake Robert has arrived in the UK with no money in his wallet and a unique challenge - and he has been documenting his experience on his social media channel for all to enjoy An American has flown to the UK for a unique challenge - and he literally cannot return home until it's completed. Blake Robert, who is known on social media as @theblakerobert, landed in the UK with just a suitcase and his guitar. Without a penny in his pocket, he aims to earn enough money busking on the streets of the UK to not only support himself while he's in the country but to also fund his plane ticket home. He has been documenting his challenge on his TikTok channel, sharing exactly how much money he made in Bath on day three of his challenge. ‌ In his video, he said: "I flew to the UK with no money and now I'll have to survive off the money I make playing my guitar." ‌ After attending an open-mic night in Bath, he met up with a group of buskers to decide when and where he can play his music in the town centre. He says the meet every morning to determine who get what spot to give each artist an opportunity to show off their talents while earning money for their performances. The meeting concluded with him playing in three locations around that - with the first being right outside Bath Abbey. At this location, he made £24, $5 (£3.70) and was also gifted a punnet of green grapes. Just 15 minutes later, he was on to his next location slightly around the corner in Abbey Churchyard. ‌ He says he only made £1 because it started to rain during his second set as everyone dodged the downpour in nearby shops, cafes and restaurants. Finally, set up on Stall Street, he made £18 and pulled in a small crowd who supported his music with praise and a dance. Hungry and tried, he ended up spending £15.25 on a steak and ale pie before booking himself into a £22 hotel, leaving him with only a £5.75 profit for the day providing he didn't buy anything else and excluding his $5. ‌ Commenting on his video, one user said: "Very bold move coming to the UK with no money but basically I'm really enjoying the content so keep it coming." Another user added: "If you are trying to save money there are much cheaper places you could go - Greggs, Weatherspoon's, a local café. Pubs are pricey unless they are Weatherspoon's. What other cities are you going to?" A third user said: "I'm so invested in your journey! Bath is very expensive though!" One more user added: "You are very near Bristol, you should go there!"

Mum rants about ‘worst hols ever' & ‘disgusting food' at 4-star Greek hotel but trolls call her a ‘drama queen'

The mother had her hubby carrying her across puddles GREEK TRAGEDY Mum rants about 'worst hols ever' & 'disgusting food' at 4-star Greek hotel but trolls call her a 'drama queen' Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A BRIT mum has been dubbed a ''drama queen'' after ranting about the ''worst holiday ever'' at a four-star Greek hotel. Mother-of-two, only known as TikToker @strawbz938, jetted off to Greece with her family after booking the holiday with TUI. After landing in Rhodes and checking into the resort, the mum discovered the accommodation was ''a three-star resort''. ''But because they have a water park, they're able to bump it up to a four-star. ''In my opinion, it's not even a three-star,'' she said in the TikTok video, showing viewers the conditions of the resort. The outraged mother also added that while the pool area ''looked stunning'', upon further inspection, she discovered everything was ''taped together''. After complaining to the staff, the family was then moved to a different part of the resort - however, the new room also ''wasn't up'' to her standards. ''I was under the impression that I was booking a five-star resort,'' she said, vowing to ''do research and read the reviews'' next time. Unfortunately for the holiday-goers, it ''then went from bad to worse'', as they here hit by ''a massive storm''. ''We got absolutely soaked walking back and forth from the one hotel to the other. At this point, I was just wanted to cry,'' the TikToker lamented. To their absolute horror, the area was covered by mega puddles - with the hubby having to carry the mother across, as ''there was no way'' she'd walk through the rain water in her ''90p flip flops from Primark''. Most popular treats for Brits on holiday Although the following day the weather had improved, the mother was less than impressed with the food - which she dubbed ''absolutely disgusting''. Sharing her woes online, the holiday-goer also showed viewers her plate of lasagna, salad, coleslaw and couscous. After desperately wanting to ''leave the hotel'', the family ventured out and visited the ''stunning'' Old Town. She said: ''Everyone kept telling to try and cheer up and just deal with it - that's exactly what I did for my children, I wanted them to have the best holiday ever.'' But their troubles didn't end there - as an hour after going to bed, they were woken up by ''a massive earthquake''. In the end, the mother decided that she had had ''enough'' and took the family back home. She went on in the caption: ''I know I'm lucky to have a holiday and some people aren't in a position to even go away for the weekend but when you've requested specific standards and you turn up to a lot less, it's very frustrating!'' Cheap holiday essentials IF you're jetting abroad this summer, here are the cheap holiday essentials you won't want to miss. PACKING CUBES: They're loved by mum-of-22 Sue Radford and not only do they save space in your luggage, but they'll ensure that your case is super neat and tidy. TAG TRACKER: There's nothing worse than loosing your luggage, but thanks to this handy £15 buy from B&M, you won't have to worry about that on your next trip. KIDS' CABIN BAG: Don't worry if you can't afford to splash the cash on a Trunki, as Aldi are selling an alternative dupe buy for just £29.99 - and it's great for children. HAND LUGGAGE CASE: For those that are opting to go hand luggage instead of paying a fortune for a check-in bag, Morrisons are selling extra small cases, that are perfect for taking on a flight, for only £7.99. Although TUI ''are currently dealing with the situation'', the furious TikToker - who claimed to have forked out £5k for the trip - said she didn't ''have much faith at all''. ''As for me being dramatic over the earthquake - yes, I do overreact, I overthink and I panic and when my children are involved I act fast and I just up and left, maybe if I hadn't of had the worst holiday ever to begin with I'd feel more comfortable saying after I'd calmed down!'' 'Drama queen' Since being posted online, the holiday video has taken the internet by storm, amassing close to 370k views in just one day. But while the mother was certainly far from impressed with the getaway, people online thought she was overreacting, as they branded her a ''drama queen''. One said: ''Drama queen. you cut your kids holiday short, take out board games, enjoy your time with the children!'' Another chimed in: ''Complaining about the weather and earthquake like it's TUI or the Hotels fault.'' A third joked: ''Did TUI make it rain?'' Someone else said: ''I don't think I've ever booked a holiday without extensively checking review sites. Is that not just standard practice?'' However, there were also plenty of those who agreed with the mum-of-two, with one writing: ''it looks sounds like a holiday from hell. nice that your husband carried you over the puddle lol.'' ''This is such a shame when you spend your hard earned money trying to make the best memories for your family! glad you're home safe!'' commented another.
