Brad Pitt's much-anticipated F1 movie premiere in New York turned into a lively affair when British driver George Russell hilariously gatecrashed the actor's interview with Sky Sports. The moment, caught on camera, has since gone viral, showing the playful camaraderie between Hollywood and the world of Formula 1.
Pitt was in the middle of an interview with Craig Slater from Sky Sports F1 when Russell made an impromptu appearance. The 61-year-old actor had just complimented the channel, saying, 'You guys have the greatest feed for the races," when Russell swooped in with a grin.

'Hold on, I'm sorry," Pitt said, pausing the conversation to greet Russell. He added warmly, 'But what a weekend, dude! Great drive. Oh, that was so fun to watch!" Russell, who had just beaten Max Verstappen in Montreal, jokingly pointed out the matching 'salmon" shirts both he and Pitt were wearing, making the moment even more endearing.
Once the banter subsided, Pitt resumed the interview, opening up about the surreal experience of filming within the actual F1 world. 'Can you believe they even let us in?" he laughed. 'It's insane. [They] let us in the world, let us in race weekends, let us embed ourselves in the season."
The premiere, which followed the Canadian Grand Prix, featured a stunning display in Times Square, complete with a faux starting grid and real F1 cars. Several drivers, including Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc, joined Pitt and his co-star Damson Idris, who together portray fictional teammates in the APX GP racing team.
Pitt praised Hamilton's involvement, calling it essential to the film's authenticity. 'We just drew from history, you know," he said. 'A little of this, a little of that. And then we had Lewis Hamilton keep us straight, and [we were] off and running."

Brad Pitt's latest obsession: Girlfriend Ines de Ramon, F1 fever, and why he's crediting her for it

Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon Brad Pitt may be the face of high-speed drama in the upcoming film F1, but it turns out his personal fascination with the motorsport didn't originate from the racetrack or the cameras. It was love that steered him into the fast lane. At the New York premiere of the film, the 61-year-old actor revealed that it was his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, 32, who first introduced him to the thrill of Formula One. In a chat with Entertainment Tonight, Pitt smiled and shared, 'Well, she's European, so she already had a taste, you know?' A simple line, but packed with admiration—subtly revealing how Ines influenced his newfound passion. It wasn't Brad showing her the ropes; it was the other way around. During the same conversation, Pitt reflected on a deeper side of his personal philosophy, discussing how he views happiness. When asked about his influence on co-star Damson Idris, the Fight Club actor said, 'Happy is relative, right? If it's fulfilling, if it's rewarding… I think stepping into uncomfortable situations, things that scare you, can bring a sense of achievement. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like これまで配当・償還遅延なし。安心の実績 TECROWD(テクラウド) 登録 Undo I'd definitely add that to Damson's list. 'Fireworks in the sky, Max Verstappen on one side, Brad Pitt on the other. I was trying to look more handsome than Brad Pitt, but inside, I was screaming!' he laughed, speaking to Entertainment Tonight. The film, directed by Joseph Kosinski and featuring an ensemble cast that includes Javier Bardem and Simone Ashley, promises to blend high-octane action with emotional depth. F1 is set to hit theatres on June 27, 2025. With Pitt now fully immersed in the world of Formula One—and giving full credit to Ines for lighting that spark—it's clear this movie is more than just another role for the Hollywood star.

Brad Pitt teases on-screen reunion with Tom Cruise, but on one condition: ‘I'm not gonna…'

Brad Pitt has made it clear, sky-high stunts are not his scene anymore. The Hollywood star, who has headlined some of the biggest action blockbusters, spoke about the possibility of sharing the screen again with Tom Cruise. And while fans might be hoping for another high-octane reunion, Pitt has one simple, very grounded condition. In a chat with E! News, Pitt offered a humorous yet pointed update on where things stand: 'I'm not gonna hang my a** off the airplane and s**t like that,' he said. Pitt, who is currently promoting his upcoming F1 racing film, added that he'd consider a reunion with Cruise 'when he does something again that's on the ground.' Cruise is well-known for his obsession with performing dangerous stunts-particularly in the Mission: Impossible series, where skydiving, flying helicopters and scaling skyscrapers are par for the course. For those who've forgotten, Pitt and Cruise shared the screen in 1994's Interview with the Vampire, a gothic cult classic. Their rivalry on set wasn't limited to bloodlust; it went straight to the tracks. 'We raced go-karts. He got me in the end. I gotta admit,' Pitt recalled. Despite the playful competition, there's clearly admiration between the two megastars. At a Paramount event earlier this year, Cruise praised Pitt's driving chops, especially with the upcoming F1 film creating buzz in racing circles. Pitt, now 61, also opened up about some of the oddly specific habits he developed while shooting F1, which is directed by Top Gun: Maverick's Joseph Kosinski and backed by Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton. 'Before getting in the car, I always have to get in on the left side,' he told E! 'I have to put my left shoe on first, I'd have to put my left glove on first," Pitt added. And the pit crew? They were well-trained in Pitt's peculiar pattern. F1 is set to release in theatres on June 27. The cast includes Damson Idris, Javier Bardem, Kerry Condon, and more. Why Are Simone Ashley's Fans Disappointed With F1: The Movie? Director Addresses Chatter

The Bridgerton star Simone Ashley is set to share the screen space with Brad Pitt in the upcoming F1: The Movie. While the Joseph Kosinski directorial is one of the most looked-forward-to films this year, the fans of the actress are upset and calling out the makers. According to the media reports, the majority of Ashley 's scenes have been edited from the final cut, making her fans believe that the actress would only appear as a cameo. Following the online heat over his upcoming directorial, Kosinski has addressed the issue. Fans react to Simone Ashley's scenes being edited in F1's final cut Amid the news of Simone Ashley 's screen time being reduced in F1: The Movie, fans expressed their disappointment. One of the users mentioned on their TikTok that the actress's 'role has been reduced down to almost just a cameo.' Another user went on to comment, "Thanks for the heads-up. I was literally only going to watch it for her lol. Will be skipping.' A third fan also shared, "Was wondering where she was in the new trailers for this.' Meanwhile, previously in an interview with Deadline, Ashley went on to call F1, a Brad Pitt and Damson Idris film. She, however, claimed to have fun filming alongside the actor, especially at the Grand Prix. Simone revealed to the media portal, 'It's been a long time, and you know, it's Damson and Brad's movie. I'm just so grateful that I can be part of it, and yeah, we've toured with the Grand Prix. We were filming at the real races.' She added, 'Just grateful I got to be part of it. I mean, it's a Brad Pitt movie. [It's] kind of awesome.' Ahead of F1's big release, the director, Joseph Kosinski, addressed the speculations of Simone Ashley's scenes being cut from the film. While in a conversation with People Magazine, he claimed, 'It happens on every film, where you have to shoot more than you can use.' The filmmaker further added, 'There were two or three storylines that ultimately didn't make it into the final cut.' F1: The Movie releases on June 27.
