Fact check: Social media channel of migrant's journey posts AI-generated videos
The videos on the channel appear to be AI-generated.
The facts
On four days between June 9 and June 13, the channel 'migrantvlog' uploaded 22 videos to the social media platform.
At the time of writing, the most-watched video had around 374,000 views on the platform. In total, five of the videos had more than 100,000 views. The channel had 1,647 followers and more than 11,000 likes.
Comments on the videos show some viewers realised that the videos are AI-generated. However, others seemed to be reacting as if they are real.
What evidence is there that the videos are AI?
There is clear evidence of AI generation in many of the videos. Most tellingly, several of the videos have watermarks for Veo – an AI video generation tool.
One video posted with the caption '5 star meorot we going' includes a section at around seven seconds where a man on the right of the frame seems to momentarily lose his arm. This video is one of several with a Veo watermark. The watermark appears in the bottom-right corner, where it might be obscured from some viewers by TikTok's display icons.
Between that video and another posted later the same day, the main protagonist's voice seems to change. The second video includes scrambled text on the front of a building, a hallmark sign of AI. At around five seconds, a man appears to pull a large camera out of his crotch, while at seven seconds a person sat in a chair appears to become translucent.
Another video shows a protest with men waving flags. The man behind the right shoulder of the person filming moves his arm in an unnatural way and the flag in his hand seems to appear and disappear.
A video shows a man running with a group while holding a burning Union flag. The flag is on fire, however the material does not appear to be blackening, and the way the men behind the protagonist interact seems almost ghost-like as they move through each other in unnatural ways.
In a video in which the man says 'thank you British taxpayers for feeding us this good food', a fork can be seen appearing seemingly out of thin air in the background while a man appears to pass a plate through his own hand.

'She doesn't consider herself much of a baker, but it's for charity and there are bound to be some .' Mutya will be in good company in this year's competition, with singers RAG'N'BONE MAN and JOJO SIWA also signing up to take part. Strictly contestant VICKY PATTISON has also joined the line up, along with MOLLY-MAE HAGUE, MARK WRIGHT, EDITH BOWMAN, JON RICHARDSON, BABATUNDE ALESHE and One Day actress AMBIKA MOD. She said: 'I wanted to do Celebrity MasterChef because I enjoy cooking in general and I love cooking for my family and friends. This Morning viewers say Mutya Buena is unrecognisable as the Sugababes appear on show after reuniting 'I wanted to learn some new things in the kitchen, some new tricks that I could bring home.' Bring to the Bake Off tent more like… Good luck, Mutya. We're rooting for you. It comes as beloved judge Prue Leith stepped down from hosting Bake Off's celebrity specials. The Channel 4 star has stepped back from all GBBO specials, with cooking expert, and Cherish Finden filling her shoes.

Harry Potter fans divided over first look at Nick Frost as Hagrid in TV reboot
The first look at Nick Frost as Hagrid in the new Harry Potter TV series has been released as filming gets under way - with the actor sporting the gamekeeper's trademark wild hair and beard The first glimpse of actor Nick Frost embodying the character Hagrid has been unveiled as filming commences for the new Harry Potter television series. However, not everyone is convinced with the new look. The HBO adaptation of the beloved fantasy novels is currently being shot at Warner Bros Studios Leavesden in Watford, Hertfordshire. On Tuesday, the organisation shared a snapshot of Frost in full Rubeus Hagrid attire, complete with a wild, wavy brown mane and beard. He's seen sporting a long, dark green coat, with a hint of a striped green shirt peeking out from underneath. Frost, renowned for his roles in British comedy films Hot Fuzz and Shaun Of The Dead, will be stepping into the shoes of the affable groundskeeper, a role previously brought to life by the late Scottish actor Robbie Coltrane in the film adaptations. But not all fans online were buying the appearance. While some gushed they were "loving" the release, others said his costume looked like 'cosplaying'. Taking to Twitter /X, one user questioned: "Who exactly asked for this?'. And another said: "Love Nick Frost, but no chance of out-Hagrid-ing Hagrid.' A third added: "I'm so sorry this already looks like a parody show." But it wasn't all negative, with another saying: "Ok this does earn you an up from me. I am so pleased how Nick Frost looks as Hagrid. Think he's going to be my favourite." The latest reveal follows HBO's announcement that young actor Rory Wilmot will portray Harry's schoolmate Neville Longbottom, while Amos Kitson has been cast as his cousin Dudley Dursley. In addition, Sherlock actress Louise Brealey will take on the role of Hogwarts Quidditch coach Madam Rolanda Hooch, and Game Of Thrones star Anton Lesser will portray wandmaker Garrick Ollivander. Other notable cast members include award-winning American actor John Lithgow as Hogwarts headmaster Professor Albus Dumbledore, Welsh comedian and actor Paul Whitehouse as caretaker Argus Filch, and Rivals actress Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley. Each season of the show promises to faithfully adapt the Harry Potter books, under the guidance of author and executive producer JK Rowling. The series comes after the successful film adaptations featuring Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in the lead roles. In addition to the new cast, HBO has also confirmed several new department heads for the series, including Director of Photography Adriano Goldman, Hair and Makeup Designer Cate Hall, Stunt Coordinator Paul Herbert and SFX Supervisor Mark Holt. Mara LePere-Schloop has joined as Production Designer, Naomi Moore is Set Decorator, John Nolan is handling Creature Effects, Alexis Wajsbrot is VFX Supervisor with Dom Sidoli as VFX Producer. They're joining the previously announced Holly Waddington as the series' costume designer, while the series will be written and executive produced by Francesca Gardiner. The show is slated to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2027.
