Glamorous gangster dubbed ‘Barbie Bandit' arrested in police raid over massive dark web drug trafficking network
A GLAMOROUS rapper dubbed the "Barbie Bandit" has been arrested in a dramatic police raid targeting a massive dark web drugs operation.
Blonde beauty Maria L., 25, known for posing in Barbie-pink outfits and flaunting an assault rifle on social media, was seized by Russian cops in St Petersburg on May 15.

The influencer-turned-trafficker is accused of helping run a slick online drugs shop — managing storage, distribution, and sales of illicit substances through the dark web.
Photos online show the rapper in revealing crop tops and doll-like makeup, living a flashy life that masked a far more dangerous double identity.
Police said: 'She helped sell the drugs online and also managed their storage and distribution.'
During the raid, cops uncovered laptops, mobile phones, and a 'significant' stash of chemicals used to make hallucinogens — along with scales and other manufacturing gear.
Prosecutors are now preparing to charge Maria L. with attempted illegal production of drugs, trafficking, and selling psychotropic substances.
The rapper — who already had a following as a blogger, streamer and musician — could face up to 15 years behind bars if convicted.
It comes after a Russian teen TikTok star has sparked outrage after threatening to have her pro-Putin mother send online trolls to the war front.
Yulia Shevtsova, a mayor in the Vologda region, was left red-faced after her 19-year-old influencer daughter made the chilling threat in a viral video.
Ksenia Shevtsova infuriated viewers by boasting on TikTok: "Are you out of your mind, dude? Do you know who my mum is?"
She added: "The mayor! We'll send you to the [war]."
The clip, which quickly spread online, featured images and videos of Ksenia posing with her politician mum — followed by the bold claim she could send her critics to fight in Vladimir Putin's brutal conflict.
The mayor later issued a public apology for her daughter's comments.
Awkward footage showed the Putin-supporting official struggling to save her political career.
She said: "Our children make mistakes by stupidity, through inexperience, but it is necessary to realise and correct these mistakes in time."
Looking visibly uncomfortable, she added: "That is why I had a serious conversation with my child."
Meanwhile, a twisted grave robber who dressed the mummified corpses of 29 young girls as dolls will stay locked in a psychiatric hospital, a Russian court ruled.
Anatoly Moskvin, 55, transformed the dead children into lifelike 'dolls' by dressing them in stockings, clothing, and knee-high boots.
He was arrested in 2011 after a series of desecrated graves of girls aged three to 11 sparked a lengthy police investigation in Novgorod, Russia.

When officers raided the apartment Moskvin shared with his parents, they uncovered the mummified remains of 29 girls.
Diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, Moskvin was deemed unfit to stand trial in 2012.
He has been confined to a secure psychiatric facility in Russia ever since.
Despite multiple legal appeals by his lawyers, a court has now ruled that he must remain in detention.
The decision followed a petition from the hospital's chief physician — likely triggered by concerns over Moskvin's behaviour.
Moskvin admitted to desecrating 44 graves belonging to girls aged three to 12.

Minister 'not going to speculate' on alleged UK involvement in Ukrainian drone attack
A government minister has declined to say if the UK was involved in a Ukrainian drone strike after the Russian ambassador partially blamed Britain for the attack. More than a hundred drones were used to attack sites inside Russia over the weekend, leading to more than 40 warplanes being destroyed. Speaking to The World With Yalda Hakim on Sky News following the attack, Russia's UK ambassador warned it could risk escalating the conflict to "World War III". 5:58 Andrei Kelin pointed the finger at the UK because of the nature of the strike. "[This] kind of attack involves, of course, provision of very high technology, so-called geospaced data, which only can be done by those who have it in possession. And this is London and Washington," he told Hakim. "I don't believe that America [is involved], that has been denied by President Trump, definitely, but it has not been denied by London. "We perfectly know how much London is involved, how deeply British forces are involved in working together with Ukraine." Asked if the UK had provided Ukraine with this technology, Steve Reed, the environment secretary, told Sky News: "I'm not going to speculate on something when I don't know what the facts were." He said that "we as a government, cross-party actually, are standing foursquare alongside Ukraine as they fight - try to defend themselves - against a brutal, unprovoked and illegal attack and invasion". Mr Reed added: "We want there to be peace talks. We want this conflict to end. But it's quite right that we should support Ukraine." Challenged if this escalation could risk Britain getting sucked into the conflict with Russia more directly, the cabinet minister responded: "I do know that the people of this country and the government of this country, want to stand alongside Ukraine. "We need peace to happen in that region, we can't allow Russia to get away with invading any more countries." It comes at a time of escalating tensions in the region, with both Russia and Ukraine upping their attacks. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his country's drone strikes at the weekend "will undoubtedly be in history books". 3:55 The blow is seen as one of the most daring of the war so far, though the US estimated only around 10 Russian bombers were blown up - and Russia said none were. Overnight, Russia claimed it downed 174 Ukrainian drones and three cruise missiles across the country. Meanwhile, Ukrainian authorities said Russia attacked towns and cities across Ukraine overnight. Mr Zelenskyy said the assault was formed of more than 400 drones and 40 missiles. 2:37 US President Donald Trump had urged Mr Putin not to retaliate on Thursday. He told reporters: "I don't like it, I said don't do it, you shouldn't do it, you should stop it." In response to the allegations of British involvement, a Downing Street spokesperson said: "We never comment on operational matters at home or abroad."

Drone attack set fire to industrial site in Russia's Engels, governor says
MOSCOW, June 6 (Reuters) - Drones attacked an industrial enterprise in Russia's southern city of Engels on Friday, causing a fire, the regional governor said. Video posted on social media and verified by Reuters showed a fire burning fiercely and emitting huge clouds of black smoke. Governor Roman Busargin did not specify what kind of industrial site was targeted. In January, a state of emergency was introduced in Engels after a Ukrainian drone strike hit an oil depot that serves a nearby base for Russian nuclear bomber planes, causing a fire that took days to put out. Busargin said a high-rise apartment block was also hit, but there were no casualties. Ukraine's general staff said it struck Russian airfields in Saratov and Ryazan regions, in addition to fuel reservoirs, during an overnight attack on Friday. Engels is part of the Saratov region. Ukraine has not targeted energy facilities in Russia since the middle of March, when a month-long pause in attacks on energy facilities was brokered by the United States. In one of the last such incidents, a March 14 drone strike caused a fire at Russia's Black Sea Tuapse oil refinery that was put out after three days.
