For A Fee Ranging From Rs 500-2000, This Hyderabad Couple Offered Live Their Sex Videos Until...
Last Updated:
The couple's adult content business, Sweety Telugu Couple 2027, came to a halt after police raided their house and found a studio-like setup.
In a shocking incident from Telangana, a couple has been arrested for allegedly running a live-streaming pornography racket from their home. Acting on a tip-off, Hyderabad Police raided the residence in Amberpet, where they uncovered the couple's illicit operation. Operating under the alias Sweety Telugu Couple 2027, the duo reportedly streamed explicit content online and accepted payments in exchange for private access to their videos.
According to The Free Press Journal, the racket had been active for the past four months, during which the couple discreetly promoted their videos across multiple social media platforms. The content, which featured nudity and explicit sexual material, was sold for a fee ranging from ₹500 to ₹2,000.
One of their promotional messages read, 'Hi friends, want our nude videos? Pay on the number shown here, and we'll send you the link," as quoted by Telugu news portal Sakshi.com. Such messages, along with explicit content, went viral on the Internet. The racket originally came to light after the East Zone Task Force raided their Amberpet residence. They discovered a part of the couple's house turned into a studio-like setup, with curtains also arranged for a makeshift backdrop. They seized all the cameras, equipment and mobile phones used for the broadcast.
Following their arrest, the couple has reportedly confessed to the crime, stating that the adult content business made them hefty money by just sharing links for payments. Their content included a mix of nude videos and livestreams of sexual acts, which were broadcast through encrypted or private channels.
The couple, whose identities have not been disclosed, has been handed over to the Amberpet Police. They have been booked under multiple sections of the Information Technology Act related to the distribution of obscene material online. Authorities have launched a deeper investigation to determine whether others were involved in the racket or if it has any international links.
Shocking Racket Busted In Hyderabad
The incident came on the heels of another similar case where a prostitution racket was busted in Hyderabad's SR Nagar.
Earlier this month, the West Task Force, in coordination with local police, uncovered an illegal prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa in SR Nagar. During the raid, a female sex worker was rescued, and a sub-organiser was arrested. Authorities revealed that the accused lured women from various parts of the city with promises of attractive jobs and salaries, later directing them to the spa where illicit activities were conducted.
Besides, a few customers have also been arrested in connection with the racket.

Andhra Woman Dies As Electric Scooter Battery Explodes During Charging
A woman was killed when the battery of an electric two-wheeler that was being charged exploded in their house in Andhra Pradesh's YSR Kadapa district on Friday. The incident occurred in Potladurthi village of Yerraguntla mandal (block) of Kadapa district on Friday. The scooter, which was kept on charging, exploded, resulting in the death of a woman who was asleep on a sofa near the two-wheeler. The woman identified as Venkata Lakshmamma (62) suffered burn injuries and died on the spot. The vehicle caught fire with the explosion and was completely gutted. Some household items were partially burnt in the fire. Police registered a case and took up an investigation. The body of the deceased was shifted to government hospital at Produttur for autopsy. Similar incidents were reported in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in recent years. During 2022, the Telugu states witnessed about eight incidents of e-bikes, houses and even e-bike showrooms and a hotel catching fire due to e-batteries exploding, killing 10 people and injuring many others. Almost all the incidents took place when e-bikes were kept on charge and it is suspected that overcharging triggered the explosions. The biggest disaster happened in Hyderabad in September 2022 when eight people lost their lives after a fire broke out in an e-bike showroom in the cellar of a multi-storeyed building and spread to a hotel on the upper floors. The fire was caused by a short circuit which was triggered due to overcharging of the EVs. In October 2022, as many as 36 electric bikes were gutted in a huge fire in a showroom in Palakonda town of Andhra Pradesh's Parvathipuram district. In November 2024, a fire broke out after the battery of an electric scooter exploded in Jagital district. A person, who had purchased the two-wheeler three months ago, had put the scooter for charging in his house. In April 2022, a man was killed and his three family members were injured when a battery of a scooty exploded at their house in Vijayawada. Kotakonda Shiva Kumar (40) was killed and his wife and their two children sustained burn injuries when the scooty, kept on charging, exploded. The incident had occurred just a day after the man purchased the electric scooter. The same month, an 80-year-old man was killed and two others injured in Telangana's Nizamabad district when the battery of electric two-wheeler had exploded. The incident occurred in a house where the battery was being charged.

Hyderabad Couple Who Live Streamed Sex Acts Needed Money For Daughters' Fees
The Hyderabad couple, who was arrested for allegedly live streaming their sexual acts on a mobile app, was in dire need of finances and resorted to such acts to make easy money, police said on Friday. The couple couldn't afford to pay the college fees of their two daughters, both of whom are meritorious students. One of them is a second year student while the other recently secured 468 out of 470 in her intermediate exam and was preparing to enter college. Besides, the man, who is an auto driver, was reportedly suffering from ill health and couldn't afford the medical expenses, the police said. The man and woman were arrested from Mallikarjuna Nagar in Amberpet on Thursday and several equipment, including high definition cameras, were seized from their house. The couple, the police said, would share live and recorded videos of their sexual acts with app users - mostly youngsters - who were ready to pay for such explicit content. A live video would cost Rs 2,000 while a recorded clip would be sold for Rs 500. The couple earned more money than what the man alone earned by driving an auto, through this racket, the police said. They used HD cameras for the purpose. They also reportedly wore masks to conceal their identities during the act, the police added. The couple's house was raided by the East Zone Task Force and they were arrested on the basis of a tip-off. A case under provisions of the Information Technology Act has been registered and a probe is underway, the police said. Notices have also been issued to those who purchased the videos from the couple, they added.

The Cyber Police Station of Kolkata Police on Thursday arrested five persons in connection with a 'fraudulent call centre' that allegedly targeted residents of the United States. The arrests were made following a raid at a premises on Park Street in the early hours of the day. Police said the accused were picked up between 2.15 am and 2.35 am from a first-floor room on Park Lane. The arrested have been identified as Ashutosh Ray (28) of Park Street, and Md Sarfaraz (22), Akeel Ahmed (22), Nawazish Hussain (23), and Md Rashed Hussain (22) — all residents of Bright Street in the Karaya area. According to police, the accused were running a fake call centre from the Park Lane address. 'They made Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) calls to residents in the United States, impersonating tech support and utility service providers such as PayPal, Norton, and McAfee. They then allegedly cheated victims by remotely accessing their computers and siphoning money,' said a police official. During the raid, police recovered several items, including 'leads' (lists of potential victims) and conversation scripts used in the fraudulent calls. Ray was allegedly identified as the owner of the call centre, while the others were 'working under him'. Police said more members of the group are absconding. Four laptops, five mobile phones, and two routers were seized along with 'incriminating documents', police said, claiming the devices contained evidence of dialers used for VoIP calls and remote access software. The accused will be produced in court on Thursday, with police seeking their custody for further investigation. A case has been registered under Sections 66, 66C, 66D, 84B, and 43 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and Sections 61(2), 319(2) (cheating by personation), 318(4) (cheating), 336(2) and 336(3) (forgery), 338 (forgery of valuable security), and 340(2) (using forged documents) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023.
