'Wheel of Fortune' star Vanna White says fans always ask her the same question when they meet her. The 68-year-old star has been the co-host of the US game show since 1982 and for over 40 years she constantly gets asked one thing when viewers meet her in person. She revealed: "[They say], 'Can I buy a vowel?' And I love it. "And 42 years later, vowels have not changed price! $250 — no inflation!" Vanna - who has two children, 30-year-old real estate agent son Nikko, and 28-year-old tattoo artist daughter Gigi, with her ex-film producer husband George Santo Pietro - has been described as having a comforting presence, and she always aims to put the 'Wheel of Fortune' contestants at ease by telling them to "pretend like you're in your living room". Speaking about how the contenders feel on the show - which is also hosted by Ryan Seacrest - Vanna said: "People aren't familiar with TV and all the cameras we have. "There are 200 people in the audience and they don't want to make a fool of themselves on TV. And it's hard! "When you're standing at home in your living room, it's always your turn. "When you're there, the puzzle board is like 20 feet away, and, 'Oh my gosh — where am I?' "They do quite well considering the circumstances. "When I first get to work in the morning, I go in and say hello to them when they're all getting in. "I say, 'Buy vowels, don't be nervous, and pretend like you're in your living room.' "I give them a little pep talk before they go on." Vanna's own TV habits include being a regular viewer of 'House Hunters International' and ABC reality series 'The Golden Bachelor'. In an interview with Collider.com, she said: "I like watching 'House Hunters International'. I feel like I'm traveling. "I'm in Switzerland and Portugal and all these places — that's kind of my little escape. "I also watch 'The Golden Bachelor'. I'm taken! "I've been with my boyfriend for 15 years, but it's fun to see that, too." Vanna is in a relationship with contractor John Donaldson who she met through friends.

Nist, who appeared in 2023's inaugural season of the "Bachelor" franchise highlighting elder contestants in their golden years, addressed her ex's claims that the couple split once Turner found out he had cancer. Turner, the first "Golden Bachelor," proposed to and married Nist in a live televised wedding on ABC in January 2024 – but their relationship was over by April 2024, and the couple at the time said a decision of where to settle down contributed to their divorce, which was finalized that June. Turner, 73, in December revealed his terminal cancer diagnosis of Waldenström's macroglobulinemia, a bone marrow cancer and type of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and suggested their split was connected to his health bombshell. Nist, 71, at the time denied "a factor in the ending of the relationship, at least not for me," in an interview with People, and she's doubling down on her shock at Turner's claims. He bluffed it off, like it really wasn't that important, and he had no symptoms, and he still doesn't." "We never had a conversation that said, 'Oh my gosh, you're sick. I can't stay with you now. I have to leave.' That never happened," she said on the podcast. Nist also suggested Turner wanted "empathy" from "Bachelor" fans. "Did he want empathy from the public?" she questioned. "I was angry that he would say something like that, but then I am such an understanding person, and I can put myself easily in someone else's shoes. So I tried to see it from his perspective, and I thought, 'OK, if that's in his mind, then I guess that's how he sees it.' Everyone has their own perception of what happened."

Schedule set for bowl games, College Football Playoff
The college football season, set to kick off in August, will culminate with the College Football Playoff national championship game in Miami on Jan. 19. A five-week bowl season begins Dec. 13 with a noon ET kickoff in Atlanta in the Cricket Celebration Bowl, but cheer up grasshopper, there are 44 total games scheduled to be played after conference title games are in the books. A team who doesn't receive a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff has the potential to play games in six consecutive months, with 17 possible games for teams participating in conference championship games in December. The marquee games in the College Football Playoff are scheduled to begin Friday, Dec. 19 with one game and continue with three more Saturday, Dec. 20. Winners advance to the quarterfinals played Dec. 31 (Cotton Bowl, Arlington, Texas) and a tripleheader on Thursday, Jan. 1 (Orange Bowl, Miami, noon ET). The Rose Bowl in Pasadena kicks off at 4 p.m. ET and is followed by the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans at 8 p.m. ET.
