IAEA To Continue Inspections In Iran When Security Conditions Permit
BERLIN, June 20 (Bernama-TASS) -- The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will continue its inspections in Iran in accordance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty as soon as security conditions permit, said IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi, according to TASS.
"The Agency is and will remain present in Iran. Safeguards inspections in Iran will continue as required by Iran's safeguards obligations under its NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty) Safeguards Agreement, as soon as safety and security conditions allow," the IAEA press service quoted him as saying.
Israel began to launch airstrikes against Iran on June 13, targeting multiple locations including on its nuclear programme, prompting Iran to carry out retaliatory attack.

KOTA KINABALU, June 20 (Bernama) -- Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail heads a list of 1,015 recipients of state honours in conjunction with the 74th official birthday of the Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah, Tun Musa Aman. Saifuddin Nasution was conferred the Seri Panglima Darjah Kinabalu (SPDK), which carries the title 'Datuk Seri Panglima'. Also receiving the SPDK were Sabah Rural Development Minister Datuk Jahid Jahim, as well as businessmen Datuk Ahmad Fuad Md Ali and Datuk Lim Yu Ming. Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Deputy Minister Dr Fuziah Salleh and Tourism, Arts and Culture Deputy Minister Khairul Firdaus Akbar Khan were among the 78 recipients of the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) award, which carries the title of 'Datuk'. Other PGDK recipients include Senator Anna Bell @ Suzieana Perian, Labuan MP Dr Suhaili Abdul Rahman, Kapayan assemblyman Jannie Lasimbang, and Pantai Manis assemblyman Mohd Tamin Zainal. Among the other recipients were Kota Kinabalu High Court Judge Alexander Siew How Wai; Head of the Internal Security and Public Order Department, Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters, SAC Abdul Fuad Abdul Malek; and Head of the Special Branch, Sabah Police Contingent Headquarters, SAC Abdul Rahman Ishak. Also conferred the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK) were Commander of the 13th Infantry Brigade, Brig Gen Jagjit Singh Indar Singh; Sabah State Health Department Director, Dr Maria Suleiman; Sabah Parks Director, Dr Maklarin Lakim; Football Association of Malaysia President, Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub; and Sabah Islamic Religious Council Chief Executive Officer, Ramlan Awang Ali. A total of 274 individuals were conferred the Ahli Setia Darjah Kinabalu (ASDK), 181 received the Ahli Darjah Kinabalu (ADK), 248 the Bintang Setia Kinabalu (BSK), 285 the Bintang Kinabalu (BK), 109 the Perkhidmatan Terpuji award, and 10 were bestowed the Jaksa Pendamai (Justice of the Peace) title. Three Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) Sabah Bureau staff were also honoured, namely seasoned journalist Emin Madi, who was conferred the PGDK; Sabah Bureau Chief Fadzli Ramli, who received the ADK; and photographer Zamain Singkui, who was awarded the BSK.

Journalists Must Return To Basics, Uphold Integrity In Post-truth Era
GENERAL KUALA LUMPUR, June 20 (Bernama) -- In an increasingly challenging era of journalism, media practitioners are urged to steadfastly uphold integrity, truth, and social responsibility in addressing contemporary challenges, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir said. He said in the current post-normal and post-truth era, fake news and conspiracy theories spread easily, posing a serious challenge to public trust in the media. 'This is where modern journalists must return to the fundamentals of truth and social responsibility. Commitment to these values makes journalism a cornerstone of an informed society. 'The role of journalists as trusted bearers of information is increasingly important, to sift fact from fiction, report fairly and uphold the principle of speaking the truth, even when it is bitter,' he said. Zambry was speaking at the 2025 Malaysian Journalism Night and at the Malaysian Press Institute (MPI)-Petronas Journalism Awards held here tonight. Zambry also said that under the Malaysia MADANI framework, ethical and independent journalism must continue to be strengthened as a vital pillar of democracy and social justice. 'Journalists are friends of truth and foes of oppression. Our job is not to please or attack those in power, but to uphold good and oppose wrongdoing, guided by facts and reasoned arguments,' he said. He said journalists serve as the eyes and ears of the people, delivering constructive criticism and honest reporting, enabling leaders to make informed decisions that reflect the voice of the public. Zambry also encouraged stronger collaboration between higher learning institutions and media organisations, including through joint research, industrial training programmes and journalism ethics colloquiums. He stressed that the Higher Education Ministry is committed to ensuring that communication and journalism curricula remain relevant and current, incorporating elements such as artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, cyber laws and professional ethics.
