Bill assistance for our customers in needWith 40% of our 3 million residential customers living in poverty, Entergy is committed to making a difference in the communities we serve. When temperatures soared last summer, we donated $3 million to help our low-income customers become more energy efficient and save money on their energy bills.Through Entergy's Beat the Heat program, our customers received bill payment assistance, fans, energy efficiency kits, home weatherization and invaluable support from localcommunity partners.
Free tax preparation for our customersFor more than 15 years, we have provided free tax preparation for our low-to-moderate-income customers at Volunteer Income Tax Assistance sites across our service area in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Every year, our IRS-certified employees help customers file their taxes and access valuable information on tax credits and deductions they are eligible for, maximizing their tax refunds. In 2024, Entergy helped low-to-moderate-income customersreceive $55 million in federal tax refunds. Of that amount, $21 million were Earned Income Tax Credits. Since 2009, our support of VITA sites has helped return $333 million to nearly 200,000 customers in our service area.

WASHINGTON—As part of ongoing efforts to improve the efficiency with which it collects money for the world's richest man, officials at the Internal Revenue Service announced a new plan Tuesday allowing taxpayers to deposit payments directly into Elon Musk's bank account. The mandatory new service will reportedly help streamline the tax payment process, bypassing the government entities that traditionally pay Musk—the departments of Defense, Energy, and Transportation, as well as NASA—and instead transferring the funds directly into his checking account. According to the IRS, the updated system will reduce the time it takes for the Tesla and SpaceX CEO to receive taxpayer dollars from a few months to just a few hours. 'We've upgraded the user experience of our website, creating a fast, easy, and secure way for Americans to fulfill their tax obligation to Elon Musk,' said acting IRS commissioner Melanie Krause, adding that the payment hub would also provide more transparency into how the U.S. tax code personally enriches Musk. 'This long overdue change modernizes how we divert revenue away from vital services, optimizing Mr. Musk's ability to collect your hard-earned money.' The Nutriment Company expands again in Germany via M&A
The Nutriment Company has continued its acquisition spree with the takeover of German private-label pet-food business Graf Barf from CDS Hackner. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. In a statement, Sweden-based The Nutriment Company said the acquisition is aimed at 'further strengthening its position as a leader in the natural, high-quality pet food segment'. The move comes two months after the Sweden-based group snapped up BAF Petfood from German peer Fressnapf. Graf Barf provides a range of raw pet food products, including complete meals, cube portions, and other formats. The German business also operates an 'IFS-certified, human-grade' production facility. The Nutriment Company said the deal would broaden its geographic reach in Germany, where it already markets brands such as Barfgold, DIBO, Nutriment and Aniforte. The transaction also 'lays the groundwork for a more accelerated expansion' into neighbouring markets, including Switzerland and Austria, it said. As part of the deal, The Nutriment Company has also teamed up with CDS Hackner to establish a frozen logistics hub to serve mainland Europe. CDS Hackner CEO and owner Michael Hackner said that the group will become The Nutriment Company's 'central logistics hub for Europe from our Crailsheim location and are ready to integrate Graf BARF into the TNC brand portfolio, passionately supporting the brand's continued growth." Headquartered in Stockholm and owned by Nordic PE firm Axcel, The Nutriment Company supplies 'natural premium' pet food.
