MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU), the global financial technology platform that makes Intuit TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp, today announced the six national winners of its 2025 Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge — a nationwide initiative that encouraged middle and high school students to spend at least one hour on financial education during Financial Literacy Month in April.
'Through the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge, we are not just teaching students about money, we are empowering them to take control of their futures.'
The Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge engaged tens of thousands of students across all 50 states through Prosperity Quest, a free, interactive game designed to introduce budgeting, saving, and financial decision-making skills. Today's announcement honors three high schools and three middle schools whose students led the nation in engagement, enthusiasm, and impact and developed essential financial literacy skills through interactive activities with real-world product simulations.
'Financial literacy is foundational to long-term success,' said Dave Zasada, Vice President of Education and Corporate Responsibility at Intuit. 'Through the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge, we are not just teaching students about money, we are empowering them to take control of their futures. These national winners demonstrated that students can develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive with the right tools and support.'
High School Winners:
James Madison High School – North East ISD (San Antonio, Texas)
Southwest Miami Senior High School – Miami-Dade County Public Schools (Miami, Florida)
Laurel Highlands High School – Laurel Highlands School District (Uniontown, Pennsylvania)
Middle School Winners:

'Financial literacy is essential not just for school, but for life,' said Jeremy Bryson, business teacher at Laurel Highlands High School in Uniontown, PA. 'Participating in the Intuit Hour of Finance Challenge gave our students a unique opportunity to practice real-world financial decision making in a way that was both engaging and empowering. As educators, we talk a lot about preparing students for what's next, but this challenge gave students the tools to start building that future now. We're incredibly proud of our students' dedication and honored to be recognized as a national winner.'
This year's Intuit Hour of Finance challenge had more than 800 educators and nearly 40,000 students at 700 unique schools and organizations across all 50 states. The winning schools will be celebrated with national recognition and Chromebooks for their classrooms. In addition, Intuit is recognizing 50 state-level winners for their performance in the challenge and for continuing the conversation around financial literacy in their communities.
The Challenge builds on Intuit's broader commitment to financial education through Intuit for Education, a free program that has reached more than three million students nationwide with interactive, standards-aligned lessons in personal and entrepreneurial finance. Drug maker Indivior joins the flight from London share listings
Drug maker Indivior has become the latest major UK listed company to scrap its London share trading. The pharmaceuticals company, which has its UK headquarters in Slough, said it planned to cancel its secondary listing in London. Indivior only moved its primary listing to Nasdaq last June and now wants to sever all share trading links with the City. The move comes just a year after Invidior's board said it planned to keep the London listing "for as long as it is considered to be in the best interests of Indivior and its shareholders as a whole." Reasons given for scrapping the London listing following a review include the fact that 80% of the company's revenue is generated in America; trading on Nasdaq accounts for approximately 75% of total volumes across both exchanges; more than 70% of the share are now held by investors located in the U.S; and the elimination of 'the cost and complexity of maintaining a secondary listing.' Another major factor is that the company's biggest selling drug Sublocade, a treatment for helping opioid addicts reduce their dependence, has its biggest market in the US. Last year Sublocade accounted for $756 million of the company's total $1.2 billion sales. Indivior was spun out of its former parent company, the consumer products giant Reckitt Benckizer in 2014 as a free standing London listed company. The Virginia based company's chair David Wheadon, said:"We are pleased to announce this key milestone for Indivior following our evaluation period. A single primary listing on Nasdaq best reflects the profile of Indivior's business. 'We appreciate the support received from shareholders for this initiative and look forward to capitalizing on the expected benefits of this move, including reductions in cost and complexity." London has suffered a major outflow of listed companies over recent years in a blow to the prestige of the City. A total of 88 firms delisted or transferred their primary listing from the London Stock Exchange last year, the highest number since the financial crisis of 2008, according to auditor EY. Only 18 companies came on to the London market last year as the vital flow of small and growing businesses raising capital by listing their shares on the London stock market dried up. Dubai Retains Global Top Spot for Attracting Greenfield FDI Projects in Cultural and Creative Industries in 2024
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates--(BUSINESS WIRE)--(Dubai Culture) Dubai has maintained its first place as the world's leading destination for greenfield foreign direct investment (FDI) in the cultural and creative industries (CCI), topping the Financial Times' fDi Markets ranking for the third consecutive year. The 2024 report, which assessed 233 cities under the 'Creative Industries Cluster' classification, placed Dubai ahead of global hubs such as London and Singapore. During the year, the emirate attracted 971 CCI projects—an 8% increase from 2023—bringing in AED 18.86 billion in capital inflows, up nearly 60% from 2023, and generating 23,517 new jobs, a 9% year-on-year rise. All major CCI subsectors saw stronger performance, with notable growth in advertising and PR, film and media production, gaming, education, and advanced software design. According to the Dubai FDI Monitor, greenfield, wholly-owned ventures made up 76.5% of all projects, while new forms of investment represented 15.4%, reinvestment 5.6%, and mergers & acquisitions (2.4%). Data from the Dubai FDI Monitor and the Dubai Framework for Cultural Statistics show that the United States accounted for the largest share of capital inflows in 2024, at 23.2%, followed by India (13.4%), the United Kingdom (9.4%), Switzerland (7.6%), and Saudi Arabia (4.8%). India led in both the number of projects (18.8%) and jobs (18.5%), while the UK, US, Germany, Italy, and France also featured prominently across both metrics. Investor confidence continues to be driven by Dubai's pro-business reforms, including Executive Council Resolution 11 of 2025, which enables free zone businesses to operate onshore, expanding commercial flexibility. The city's Zero Government Bureaucracy programme is also reducing red tape across more than 2,000 federal procedures. Combined with strong intellectual property protections and advanced digital infrastructure, these initiatives have helped establish a regulatory framework marked by efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business. Insights from the ' Creative Dubai: Navigating Tomorrow's Creative Landscape' report illustrate how this ecosystem is scaling with demand, pinpointing investment opportunity hotspots in design, immersive media and AI-driven production. Dubai continues to offer investors access to top-tier talent, competitive setup costs, and strategic connectivity. The 2024 FDI results underscore the city's rise as a global hub for innovation and one of the world's most attractive environments for creative enterprise.
