Patrick Adiarte Dies: ‘The Brady Bunch,' ‘M*A*S*H' And ‘The King And I' Actor Was 82

Patrick Adiarte, the Philippines-born dancer and actor who is remembered for his early recurring role as cabin boy Ho-Jon on M*A*S*H and his guest appearance on The Brady Bunch, died on April 15 of complications from pneumonia. He was 82.
Born August 2, 1943 in Manila, Patrick Adiarte overcame early adversity after his sister and their mother were imprisoned by the Japanese on the island of Cebu in February 1945 during World War II. One month later, their father, who was working as a captain for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was killed.
After emigrating to the United States, Adiarte eventually appeared on stage as Prince Chulalongkorn in the Rodgers & Hammerstein musical The King And I, Wang San in the stage and film version of musical Flower Drum Song, and college student T.J. Padmanagham in the Blake Edwards comedy High Time. He was also one of the regular dancers on the television series Hullabaloo, which aired in the 1965 to 1966 TV season. And, in 1961, Adiarte portrayed the Prince in a TV version of The Enchanted Nutcracker with Robert Goulet and Carol Lawrence.

His other guest roles on television included episodes of dramas It Takes a Thief, Ironside, Bonanza, and Kojak. But it was M*A*S*H, which Adiarte exited after the second season to attend college, and the one episode of The Brady Bunch as David, who served as a tour guide to the Bradys in Honolulu when the clan had a series of bad luck, that he was instantly recognized for.

Adiarte also had a brief singing career with the single "Five Different Girls"," among other tracks, in 1965.
After retiring from screen work following his episode on Kojak in 1974, Adiarte worked as a dance instructor.
Adiarte was married to actress Loni Ackerman from 1975 to 1992. He is survived by his niece and his nephew.

Amanda Batula calls Paige DeSorbo's Bravo exit ‘taking a summer off': She's ‘not done with TV'
Giggling at the idea of having Paige DeSorbo back on TV. After the podcast host, 32, announced her exit from 'Summer House' after seven seasons, her longtime best friend, Amanda Batula, is holding out hope that this is merely a break. 'She FaceTimed me and Ciara [Miller] and told us, and it was really tough to hear,' the swimsuit designer, 33, recalled exclusively to the Post while promoting her partnership with Swiffer. 'I would love to get back together, somehow make amends, especially for Paige's sake. But we're both busy girls now, and people aren't just getting together to hang out on a normal basis. So it will probably take a lot of effort. But there's no negativity there whatsoever.' DeSorbo, meanwhile, wasn't the only cast member to announce her exit in recent days. But if anyone wants to put together a show for three girls that love to sleep in bed, we're open and we're taking offers.' In the meantime, Batula is busy with her new line Amanda Batula Swim. It's unfortunately not up to us what ends up getting used and what doesn't but that is something that we were going through and I just felt like it was important for people to see the full transparency.' Luckily, the pair worked on their problems and were able to come together, because, as fans know, summer is suppose to be fun. 'They see us having a great summer together and we did because there were those changes made. But it wasn't a natural occurrence. There were reasons why. I just felt like I just need to be honest and transparent with people at all times. And I feel like that was a huge piece of missing information. We filmed it so I didn't know that they weren't going to use it. I was fully prepared for everyone to see that conversation too. I just feel like everyone should know everything. 'In fact, he's here right now in the office working. He is always traveling. We will be traveling to France together in a week or two. So maybe we'll be able to reconnect and spend some quality time together there.'

Ananda Lewis, former MTV VJ and talk show host, dead at 52
Ananda Lewis, a former MTV video jockey and talk show host, has passed away after a lengthy battle with breast cancer. She was 52. Lewis' sister, Lakshmi, announced the devastating news in a short Facebook post shared on Wednesday, June 11. 'She's free, and in His heavenly arms,' she wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of Lewis. 'Lord, rest her soul.' Former MTV video jockey and talk show host Ananda Lewis has passed away at the age of 52.
