Sardaar Ji 3 Producer Does Not Want To Work With Pakistani Actors: 'I Do Not Support It'
Diljit Dosanjh also broke his silence on the controversy recently and said that the project was completed before any of the current political tensions surfaced.
While Diljit Dosanjh's upcoming movie, Sardaar Ji 3 has been facing backlash for casting Pakistani actress Hania Aamir, the producer of the film has now said that even he does not support working with artists of a country that has been constantly attacking India. In a recent interview, producer and Managing Director of White Hill Studios Gunbir Singh Sidhu opened up about the criticism that Diljit's film has been facing. He explained that Sardaar Ji 3 was shot before the tensions between India and Pakistan escalated and added that they decided not to release the film in India because they understand the national sentiments.
'Those who are actively involved in the film industry and are aware of day-to-day activities, know that this film was shot in February-March 2025 itself. We shot it in the UK. There was no such atmosphere at that time, work was going on normally between the two countries. The whole atmosphere was normal. There was no restriction from the Government of India or any other institution," the producer told NDTV.
'When we came to know about this attack, we decided that we would not release the film India, because we did not want to hurt the sentiments of our people in any way. We too were hurt by this incident. Keeping this honour in mind, we decided that the film will be released only overseas because our major investment is there. There was no restriction from any government overseas, so it was decided to release there. We did not put the trailer on YouTube in India, nor did we do any kind of promotional activities," he added.
However, when asked if Indians should still continue to offer work to Pakistani artists, the producer said, 'I have no two opinions on this. If there is a country that is also working with us and still such attacks are happening from their side, then this is thankless behaviour. And I do not support it."
Meanwhile, Diljit Dosanjh also broke his silence on the controversy recently and told BBC Asian Network that the project was completed before any of the current political tensions surfaced.
'Jab yeh film bani thi tab situation sab theek tha. We shot this in February and then everything was fine. Uske baad, bhut saari badi cheezen humare haath mein nahi hai. Toh producers ne decide kiya ki film obviously ab India toh nahi lagegi, toh overseas release karte hain. Toh producers ka bahut paisa laga hua hai aur jab yeh film bann rahi thi tab aisa kuch tha nahi," he said, adding that the makers are aware they will incur losses. 'Now the situation is not in our hands. So if the producers want to release it abroad, I support them."
Sardaar Ji 3, directed by Amar Hundal, is set for an overseas release on June 27. However, it will not be released in Indian theatres.

Another billionaire to visit Titanic wreck 2 years after Oceangate tragedy: ‘You'll recognise the name'
The lore of the Titanic has fascinated millions of people for decades. Its lure has drawn explorers to the depths of the ocean as they seek to unravel the mysteries of the legendary 1912 shipwreck. Its story has been immortalized on the big screen in one of the memorable movies of our times. The wreck of the Titanic lies 12,500 feet below the North Atlantic Ocean (Facebook/@tritonsubs) The endless fascination with the Titanic is such that two years after the Oceangate tragedy, one billionaire is planning an expedition to the wreck that lies 12,500 feet below the surface of the North Atlantic Ocean. What was the Oceangate tragedy? The Oceangate tragedy unfolded in June 2023 when the company's Titan submersible imploded during a dive to the Titanic wreck, claiming five lives. The victims included Oceangate CEO Stockton Rush, British businessman Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman, and French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet. The disaster sparked global scrutiny over deep-sea tourism and the safety standards of privately run expeditions. Another expedition to Titanic? Since the Oceangate tragedy, the wreck of the Titanic has remained off limits to explorers and deep sea divers. That has done little to diminish its appeal. Now, speculation is rife that another private expedition to the Titanic wreck is in the works. Details, however, have been kept under wraps, according to a report in the New York Post. The expedition will include a billionaire whose name has not been revealed, but is apparently recognisable. 'I heard that somebody is going down to the Titanic in a couple weeks,' a source told The Post. 'What I can tell you is that it's a billionaire. Going down there will cost $10 million. You would recognize his name.' The source refused to divulge the billionaire's name, saying: 'He'll want to make an announcement that he is the first person to go to the Titanic since the tragedy.' The Titanic fascination What is it about a shipwreck that has fascinated millions for more than a century? 'Besides it being a wreck of historical significance, the fact that it lies at such great depth makes it fascinating to visit,' Patrick Lahey, CEO of Triton Submarines, told The Post. 'Titanic is a wreck that's covered in marine life and soft coral. People want to go there for the same reason that they want to climb Mount Everest.'

Nitesh Tiwari is grabbing headlines with his much-awaited upcoming film Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in the lead roles. According to recent reports, Amitabh Bachchan will play an integral role in the magnum opus- not just as a character but as a narrator. An insider told Midday, 'We're exploring the idea of having Bachchan as the sutradhar. His voice adds gravitas that no one else can match. The makers are keen that the film opens with his voice. Helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana boasts a stellar cast with Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman and Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Bankrolled by Madhu Mantena and Allu Aravind, Ramayana is expected to be one of the most magnificent projects ever made in Indian cinema. It's a tale that has endured across millennia because it speaks to something deep and eternal within us. We are not simply making a film. We are offering a vision — one rooted in reverence, shaped by excellence, and made to transcend borders.' Ramayana will be released worldwide: Part 1 in Diwali 2026 and Part 2 in Diwali 2027.
