Shane Gillis' girlfriend, Grace Brassel, certainly appears to be enjoying her summer.
Gillis is gearing up for a July 18 show in Oklahoma City. He'll then make an appearance in Kansas City on July 19 before receiving a three-week vacation. It won't be until Aug. 8 when he returns to the stage in Kentucky. His August schedule consists of seven shows overall.
The former "Saturday Night Live" cast member has blossomed into one of the most popular stand-up comedians in America.
While we don't know how Gillis will spend his time off from work, his girlfriend revealed that she's been spending her time in Montauk.
On Thursday night, Brassel posted several photos from her time at The Surf Lodge in Montauk. Her Instagram post didn't have a caption, but to be fair, one wasn't necessary.
Countless people raved about Brassel's latest vacation photos.
"Dream girl," one person commented.
"Gorgeous angel!!! Beauty queen body tea," an Instagram user wrote.
"Shane is winning," another user said.
With the college football season quickly approaching, it might not be long before Gillis and Brassel are back in the spotlight.
During the 2024 season, ESPN invited Gillis on "College GameDay" for Notre Dame's first-round playoff game against Indiana. He had a pretty intense confrontation with Nick Saban during his brief time on set. That's because he sarcastically accused the legendary Alabama coach of cheating.
"I do believe in integrity," Saban told Gillis. "I always tried to run the program that way, so players had a better chance to be successful in life. We made more money in the NFL than any other school, 61 players in the league. That was how we cheated, we developed players."
We'll see if ESPN invites Gillis and Brassel back on "College GameDay" this fall.Shane Gillis' Girlfriend Turns Heads With 'Stunning' Vacation Photos first appeared on The Spun on Jul 11, 2025

Retired Chiefs LB Derrick Johnson reflects on practices with Tony Gonzalez, Travis Kelce

This week, Chiefs Wire's Ed Easton Jr. spoke to Kansas City Chiefs legend and franchise leader in tackles, Derrick Johnson, about his new children's book, 'Super DJ Saves Field Day,' Defend The Dream Foundation, and his memories practicing opposite superstar tight ends Tony Gonzalez and Travis Kelce. "This book exemplifies adverse moments where a bully is; you have to handle a bully. You have to handle sportsmanship, working well with others, being nice to people, remembering something that happened, being bad, where you failed, and not letting that hurt you." said Johnson, "This time, knowing that everybody's best looks a little different, being content with saying, hey, if I did my best, it might not, I may not get first place. But you know what I'm proud of, what I put out, even if it's in the classroom or on the field day, obviously the book (Super DJ Saves Field Day)." Johnson began his career with future Pro Football Hall of Famer Tony Gonzalez as a leader on the Chiefs. They remained teammates until Gonzalez's departure to the Atlanta Falcons after the 2008 season. "Tony Gonzalez, man. I mean, he was well-established when I came there in 2005. I don't know if he was already a seven, eight-year, seven-year guy, but he was the man. And you can tell, you can tell, right when you get out there, you're like, man, I was super athletic, but he's still going to catch the ball. He's just what it is. He's just a mastermind regarding route running." Johnson said, "He's very, very consistent. He catches everything. He's not the fastest, or even the biggest or the strongest, but just being consistent at running efficient routes, and he wanted the ball. I mean, if, even if he wasn't open, he's going back to the quarterback, Trent Green, and all those guys back in the day, 'I'm open. Give me the ball. So those kinds of guys have a high ceiling and are destined to be great." Kelce was drafted by Kansas City in 2013. He enters the 2025 season third all-time behind Tony Gonzalez and Jason Witten in tight end yards. He is only 2,977 yards behind Gonzalez for the most for a tight end in NFL history. "I saw Travis Kelce when he first got there. He was hurt for a year and a half, so he got off slow, and I didn't even know who he was. I've seen a lot of players. I played 13 years for Kansas City and seeing him, I'm like, "Okay, you've got another big tight end with some potential, but we'll see what he is." You don't know. But after his second year, I'm like, Man, this guy is the real deal. He's different from Tony," said Johnson, "He's a really good catcher, but his route running is different. He's more vertical down the field when he does run in immediate routes. He has a wiggle about him that's very subtle, a silent killer that you say, Man, why aren't they getting this big guy down? He's got some wiggle in him, which I think is different from any tight end I've ever seen before. He knows how to get yards after catch, and he's playing with the best quarterback (Patrick Mahomes) ever. So that's a great combination. It's cool to see him come from a rookie coming into the league a little hurt, then finding his way and just blowing up. I mean, Hall of Fame tight end." Super DJ Saves Field Day, an inspiring story about a dad-turned-superhero who flies in and helps kids overcome challenges and find their own super powers, will be released under Black Rose Writing. Super DJ Saves Field Day is available on August 7th. Follow the link to order now! Check the website for more information on Derrick Johnson's Defend The Dream Foundation.

How to watch the WNBA Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest, Friday's All-Star festivities

'All the stars approach you,' as SZA once belted out. To paraphrase, a Dream might let us know … but so might a Spark, or a Mystic, or even a Fever. The 2025 WNBA All-Star proceedings begin Friday night. The league's top playmakers will dribble and pass through an ornate obstacle course in the Skills Challenge, and then the best long-range shooters will let it rip in the 3-Point Contest. Even though Caitlin Clark (groin) is unable to give it a go in Friday's shootout and Saturday's All-Star Game, there's still a lot to look forward to. Here's what you need to know about the forthcoming broadcasts, this year's participants and all the past winners. How to watch WNBA All-Star Friday Venue: Gainbridge Fieldhouse — Indianapolis Time: 8 p.m. ET TV: ESPN Streaming: Fubo (try for free) Watching in person? Get tickets on StubHub. This broadcast will also be available on ESPN+. First up is the Skills Challenge. Dribblers will be asked to throw bounce, chest and outlet passes, then shoot from the elbow, corner and top of the arc. This year's field is entirely comprised of WNBA veterans. Allisha Gray (Atlanta Dream) is the youngest contestant at age 30; she's up to the highest scoring average of her nine-year run, and won the 2024 edition over finalist Sophie Cunningham. Elsewhere, Natasha Cloud (New York Liberty), Erica Wheeler (Seattle Storm) and Courtney Williams (Minnesota Lynx) have all played a full decade in the W, and each guard is enjoying a late-career renaissance with competitive teams. The headliner is Skylar Diggins, the six-time All-WNBA force who leads Seattle in points and assists. All of these Skills Challenge newcomers will be eager to dethrone Gray. Up next is the 3-Point Contest, a timed and frantic perimeter shoot-around with five racks. Each made trey is worth one point, with a bonus-point 'money ball' at the end of the first four racks. The fifth shooting spot from the far corner is exclusively money balls, and predictably, that's where the competition takes its dramatic swing. There are also two 'Starry balls' from way outside, each worth three points. The two top finishers advance to a second round for a title tilt. Clark, Indiana's hometown superstar, has endured an injury-ridden second season with the Fever. Sadly, lingering injuries will keep her out of the 3-point showdown. Fans can still marvel at defending champ Gray — the only player competing in both events and the only player in league history to sweep them the same year — plus decorated stars Sabrina Ionescu (Liberty) and Kelsey Plum (Los Angeles Sparks). The field is rounded out by stellar rookie Sonia Citron (Washington Mystics), who is making 36.5 percent of her 3-point attempts on high volume. The 21-year-old Notre Dame product could be a fixture in this format for the next decade or so. Ionescu won in 2023. Plum (second), Gray (fourth) and Ionescu (fifth) all rank in the top five in made 3s this season. 2025 Skills Challenge participants Natasha Cloud, LibertySkylar Diggins, StormAllisha Gray, DreamErica Wheeler, StormCourtney Williams, Lynx Skills Challenge winners 2003 — Dawn Staley2005 — Sue Bird2006 — Seimone Augustus2007 — Becky Hammon2009 — Cappie Pondexter2010 — Renee Montgomery2019 — Diamond DeShields2022 — Sabrina Ionescu2023 — Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray2024 — Allisha Gray 2025 3-Point Contest participants Sonia Citron, MysticsAllisha Gray, DreamSabrina Ionescu, LibertyKelsey Plum, SparksCaitlin Clark's replacement TBD 3-Point Contest winners Ticketing and streaming links in this article are provided by partners of The Athletic.
