Axed Hollyoaks star reveals she's now a pole dancing teacher as she shows off her moves in thong and high heels

The Sun04-05-2025

AN axed Hollyoaks star has revealed that she's now a pole dancing teacher, as she showed off her moves in a thong and high heels.
After more than two decades on the Channel 4 series, Sarah left the acting gig behind when she was given an ultimatum by bosses - stop sharing racy snaps or leave.

The mum has always defended the controversial side hustle and slammed bosses for their 'blatant hypocrisy.'
But she's now onto new ventures, and not only does OnlyFans but pole dances too.
Sarah, 43, has regularly showed off her pole dancing skills on social media - and now she's taught her very first lesson, in a very sexy outfit.
Talking to The Sun about how the debut went, Sarah shared: 'It was great and all the women were so lovely - I'm really excited for them all to go on their own little pole dancing journey.
'I can see myself doing more and more pole, because it's unintentionally become my personality.
'I get so much from it on a personal level but also finding space that, as a woman, I feel safe in.'
Sarah continued: 'I feel supported, I feel I can be myself and not be judged - and how rare is it to find that space and sense of community? I feel very lucky.'
Before the class, Sarah told her 245k followers how terrified she was of the challenge.
The actress penned: 'I'm excited and terrified in equal measure… because very soon, I'll be stepping into a whole new challenge- teaching my first beginners' pole class!
'Pole has been a huge part of my life for over two years now. I first found it just after lockdown, a little before turning 41, when I was looking for something fun, but challenging.
'From the very first spin, I was hooked. What started as a way to move and push myself has become so much more- strength, confidence, and a whole new community of incredible, supportive people who lift each other up (literally!).'
Sarah continued: 'I've recently started 1:1 training with a new pole coach, and I can already feel myself improving in ways I never expected.
'Now, I'm about to take the next step, sharing everything I've learned with others. My beginner's classes will be for absolute newbies or anyone wanting to go back to basics!
'I'll be teaching at the same studio where my journey began too which is exciting @PoleGymholmeschapel, and I can't wait to help others discover just how empowering pole can be.'
Sarah showed off her toned physique in the carousel of images, as she promoted her new pole class.
And she plans on doing it in some sexy new lingerie too, after joining forces with Raine & Bea collection, as their launch ambassador.
Created by industry-renowned designer, Jenna Barnes, 'Encore' encapsulates the theatrical flair and decadent cabaret style in the tradition of Raine & Bea.
And Sarah wants to rock it at a pole class, after attending the launch party
Speaking of the lingerie, she shared: 'One of the things that makes me feel confident, even if you can't see it, is having nice underwear on.
'Knowing that you've got beautiful underwear on and it's a matching set is the one for me, because how often do we not do that.
'So the fact that the new range is affordable and stunning, and you could have a gorgeous underwear set on, there's something about that just straight away makes me feel like, oh, I got my S*** together.'
It comes as Sarah discussed parting ways with Hollyoaks, as character Mandy Richardson.
Despite it not being her choice to eventually leave her role in Hollyoaks, the mum confessed it was the best thing that could've happened to her.
"I had no choice but to make what happened successful for me because essentially I'm the breadwinner out of myself and my husband and I can't not work," she said.
Sarah, who played Mandy from 1996 to 2021, said she still enjoys working and wanted to set a good example for her son, as well as maintain the comfortable lifestyle the family has become accustomed to.
"We have a lovely lifestyle and I want to maintain that," she said, "and I also want Stan to see that mum and dad work hard, and also that it's not a chore, we do something we enjoy and that we choose to do."

Grand Designs eyesore next door is ‘glorified GREENHOUSE' left to rot

The former coastguard's tower is riddled with safety breaches, according to furious neighbours GRAND FAIL Grand Designs eyesore next door is 'glorified GREENHOUSE' left to rot Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A CONTROVERSIAL Grand Designs project that left neighbours living under scaffolding for five years has still never been lived in. The dramatic glass-fronted clifftop mansion in Flamborough, East Yorkshire, has been dubbed a "glorified greenhouse" by fed-up locals. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 5 The coastal mansion was branded 'absolute rubbish' by one neighbour Credit: NB PRESS LTD The £550,000 property was built by millionaire shopping centre tycoon Zahid Iqbal, 61, and his wife Ferzana, 57, and was hailed "breathtaking" by Kevin McCloud when it aired on the Channel 4 show last year. What began as a 10-month project in 2019 to transform a derelict coastguard's tower into a sleek, modern retreat with sweeping views of the North Sea has dragged on for half a decade. The glass-walled home near Flamborough Head has been plagued by planning disputes, delays, and a catalogue of construction blunders—from ill-fitting glass panels to missed emails about vital bird-proofing. For much of that time, neighbouring cottages were overshadowed by towering scaffolding. Now, nearly a year after the Grand Designs episode aired, the property remains unoccupied, and speculation is growing locally that the house may soon be up for sale. One of the most affected neighbours, 83-year-old Vic Crosthwaite, shares a party wall with the ultra-modern structure and became a sympathetic figure for viewers after his home was dwarfed by the build. 'We understood they would be moving in—but there's been no sign of them,' he said. 'I've seen them once, going for a coffee, and that was it. There's talk they'll sell it, but it's just sat empty.' Mr Crosthwaite added that the building still feels unfinished and that promised privacy measures, such as tinted windows overlooking his patio and bedroom, were never put in place. 'You can practically see into my bedroom from their staircase,' he said. Iconic Grand Designs 'perfect' house which couple spent 20 years 'painstakingly' renovating hits market for £1.5million The Iqbals, who purchased the site at auction for £175,000, reportedly invested around £375,000 into the build. The project was nearly derailed when a planning officer halted work, citing that the original coastguard structure—apart from one wall—had been entirely demolished, contrary to the approved conversion plans. A revised application was later granted, allowing the family to continue. However, bad weather, the pandemic, and the departure of their son Yusuf—who had been leading the project—further slowed progress. Guy Raynor-Edwards, 63, said: 'It's just sat there. No one comes or goes. It feels like it was built just to show off.' Another neighbour, 80-year-old Lee Dell, didn't hold back: 'It's a glorified greenhouse. Absolute rubbish. "There are doors on the upper floors with no balconies—someone could walk out and fall straight onto the golf course. "Somebody ought to knock it down.' Concerns also remain about whether the property complies with building regulations. Neighbours have pointed out potential safety issues, including external doors with no balconies and a staircase missing a balustrade. A resident who gave her name only as Jen added: 'It's architecturally impressive, sure, but completely in the wrong place. "If it were ten miles down the road with no neighbours, it might have worked. But not here, not in a historic village.' Mr Iqbal previously defended the build, describing it as 'a place for the family' and 'the first Grand Designs that's a second home.' Speaking last year, he told the Yorkshire Post: 'It's not about the building—it's about the views. I wanted to build something that creates discussion.' Visitors to the area still stop to peer at the house made famous by TV. Nigel and Sue Lenton, holidaying from Somerset, admired the design but expressed disappointment that it remains unused. 'It's such a shame no one's living in it,' said Sue, 76. 'Given how much it must have cost, it just feels like a bit of a white elephant.' 5 It overlooks a golf course and many say it has been left in an unfinished state Credit: NB PRESS LTD 5 The couple purchased the site at auction for £175,000, reportedly invested around £375,000 into the build Credit: NB PRESS LTD 5 Concerns also remain about whether the property complies with building regulations Credit: NB PRESS LTD
