Stop flies coming into your house immediately with £3.99 Home Bargains buy – it takes seconds to install & looks stylish

YOU can stop flies coming into your house immediately with £3.99 Home Bargains buy. We all know how the warmer summer months can mean that more insects come into the home. It also happens that the item looks stylish and it takes just seconds to install in the house. Home Bargains is selling the Jardin Magnetic Insect Door Screen for under a fiver. You can stay cool and breeze through summer with the protective barrier for just £3.99. Advertisement READ MORE ON BARGAIN BUYS It features magnetic closure and lace detail which comes in handy if you don't have a tool box. No instruments are needed to install the screen, which means it's easier than ever to keep the insects at bay. The population of house flies is far higher in the warmer months as they are more active and they reproduce more rapidly. The daytime is when most house flies are most active as peak activity often occurs in either the early morning or the late afternoon. Advertisement Most read in Fabulous It may be an idea to keep food sources away from the window as the insects are attracted to them. This also includes rubbish like waste, bones, leftovers and rotting food. Urgent 'do not eat' warning issued for cereal In the UK, wasps are also most active during the summer months when their colonies are at peak size. In this period, they are busy foraging for food, feeding their larvae, and they build nests - which are difficult to get rid of. Advertisement This also means the activity of stingers is at its peak, so shoppers need to protect themselves, particularly from June until the end of August. Why do flies come out in summer? Flies are present all year round, but all of a sudden when summer comes, they are just EVERYWHERE! The main contributing factors are the breeding cycle of flies and the soaring temperatures. Insects are cold blooded and in summer, when their body temperature rises from the external heat, they become more active. The hotter weather also let's them seek out cool moist spots, like inside your home, to escape from the sweltering heat and to lay their eggs. House Fly eggs take around 20 hours to hatch, but when the temperature rises above 37 degrees, can hatch within 8 hours! In extreme hot weather the eggs can mature from larvae to adult fly in as little as four days. The average lifespan of a housefly is 21 days, so each female can lay up to 900 eggs during the summer months! 4 House flies are attracted to food waste so shoppers are advised to keep food away from the window Credit: Getty 4 The insects produce more rapidly in the summer months so their populations are far higher Credit: Getty

I'm a size 12 & my daughter's a size 6 but tried on the same clothes in M&S, one dress suits any shape and is under £50

A STYLISH mother and daughter duo headed to M&S to try on the same clothes to see how they looked on them. Hayley, who is a size 12, and her daughter, who is a size 6, headed to the British retailer to try out their summer collection. 3 The m other and daughter duo tried on the new M&S summer collection Credit: Tiktok/@hayleyscurvyclothing 3 There was one dress both women loved and it suited both of their body shapes Credit: Tiktok/@hayleyscurvyclothing 3 It also is designed to suit a number of body types and comes in petite, regular and tall sizes Credit: M&S The fashion influencers were eager to see whether the collection would suit both of them and Hayley said: "Mother and daughter size 6 versus size 12 try on haul." The first M&S dress they tried on was the Denim V-Neck Tie Detail Midi Waisted Dress. Hayley was impressed as soon as she put it on, saying: "You know what I love about it on me. first of all I can fit my boobs in it. READ MORE ON M&S "I love the length of the sleeve that hides my wobbly arms. It has pockets." The mum said she wasn't usually a fan of pockets as it makes her hips look bigger, but didn't find it a problem with this dress. Next , the pair tried on a maxi red paisley dress, but it didn't impress them as much. Most read in Fabulous Hayley said of her daughter: " She looks like something out of Little House on the Prairie." "I love the colour, the look the pattern. I think it's better for an over 40s but it's gorgeous." The UK's best M&S for clothes They also tried on an oversized white broderie blouse and denim skirt, which neither of them was impressed with. The top was far too big with Hayley adding: "It makes me look like I'm pregnant with the triplets." While the haul wasn't an overall success, the denim dress was a favourite with the duo and viewers. The clip shared to the TikTok account @ Hottest fashion trends of 2025 Fabulous' Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend shares the biggest trends from the high street. The East/West Bag Baguette bags have had a good run, after returning from the 1990s' shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern-day fashion icons, like Hailey Bieber. In 2025, the East/West bag is a similar but elongated shape and has long, thin straps that are easy to throw over your shoulder. They've been on runway models' arms at nearly ever designer show - think Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta - and are hitting the high street now, too. Powder pink Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of Barbie in 2023 and now the more polished and expensive-looking pale shade is taking over for 2025. Pantone may say that it's the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise! From Prada to Erdem, the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks, worn head-to-toe or on its own. If the sugary shade is too girly for you, then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour. The shell jacket The '80s classic is back, but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025. We all know we're likely to see rain for most of spring, so your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule jacket. Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear, with surges already seen in '80s windbreakers'. Seen everywhere from the stylish streets of Copenhagen to the Miu Miu catwalk, now mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair are very much in fashion! The turn-up jeans While the shape of jeans remains the same for this year and barrel-legs will still be everywhere, the way we're styling them is different. This season, transform your wide-leg, baggy denims into turn-ups. For this look, size doesn't matter, so while deep turn-ups are a hit from jean trend-leaders Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good - but only as it's just one single fold. Peep-toe shoe Get your pedicures booked in sharpish, as this season your toes are the main event. After a long hiatus, the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold, with brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear in this style. From mules to pumps and clogs (yes, clogs will be around too!), there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street. Sheer blouses See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk, but have rarely filtered into everyday life - until now. Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their S/S '25 catwalks and M&S even had sellout success with its black sheer pencil skirt last season. Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks. One person wrote: "The denim dress looked the best!" Another commented: 'Stunning." "She won't know what Little House on the Prairie is," penned a third. Meanwhile a fourth said: "M&S clothes seem to be so large this season." "I like the denim dress the best,' claimed a fifth. Someone else added: 'That green dress looks amazing on mum!!" Fabulous will pay for your exclusive stories.
