Well, with spring officially in full swing and the weather heating up, if you're on a mission to give your patio a glow up, you've come to the right place.
One anonymous user was left scratching his head when he jet washed his patio, only for it to still be a total state.
As a result, the man took to social media, desperate for advice on how to get his outside space sparkling.
Posting on Reddit, on the r/GardeningUK thread, the man, who posts under the username @Jimi-K-101, shared snaps of his grubby patio.
Alongside this, he wrote: 'Concrete patio slabs still look like this after thoroughly power washing.
'Would a liquid patio cleaner help, or do I just need a more powerful power washer?'
Luckily for this man, numerous gardening enthusiasts quickly flocked to the comments, eager to share their advice on how to transform a grubby patio - and not only is it purse-friendly, but there's no scrubbing involved.
One user suggested: 'Try Patio Magic - dilute and spray on when dry and then let the sunlight do the rest - it's about £10 from Wilko/B&Q. It really does work.'
A second recommended: 'Use a mixture of vinegar and Borax. It will look brand new and will not hurt any vegetation in the area. Plus? Will repel any bugs or what not naturally.'
Whilst someone else advised: 'Maybe scrub down with a stiff brush first.'

Despite numerous very effective tips and tricks, at the same time, many users suggested using bleach to ensure a patio looks super fresh.
One person said: 'I used bleach. Get the cheapest Tesco or Aldi stuff.
'Spread it quickly but do not scrub it in. Just pour it over the area. Leave it for an hour or two.
'Wash it off with a hose. Key point is not to scrub it.'
Another added: 'Use cheap bleach, undiluted. Leave it on.'
I used bleach in the end…seems to have worked well

A third commented: 'Scrubbed mine with a brush and bleach water solution. Can't say if that's the best way to do things but it worked pretty good.'
Following the overwhelming advice to use bleach, the user later explained: 'Thanks for replying. I used bleach in the end…seems to have worked well.'
If you fancy giving this trick a try, you'll find bleach from as little as 55p from Tesco.
What do the experts say?
According to the pros, bleach is a powerful, cheap, and quick way to kill moss, algae, and lichen and many have recognised that it works fast on stubborn stains.
However, users should know that bleach can damage plants, erode grout, and harm certain paving materials like limestone.
While bleach is known to be particularly effective at lifting stains around the house, it can cause some issues when used excessively on patio tiles

Bleach also has strong fumes and can be bad for the environment and your health.
Not only this, but Molly Woodward-Moor, creative director at Stone Superstore, exclusively told Fabulous: 'While bleach is known to be particularly effective at lifting stains around the house, it can cause some issues when used excessively on patio tiles.

Nick Grey, Gtech Inventor and CEO shared the tasks to crack on with as Spring arrives.
1. Clean your garden
Make sure to clear away all leaves, soil and plant debris from your patios and flower beds; this creates a healthier environment for new growth, especially as we get into the summer months. Gtech's Garden Safety Kit includes durable gardening gloves and safety glasses; perfect for comfortability whilst tackling those outdoor tasks.
2. Weeding
Early Spring is the best time to tackle weeds; if you can introduce some regular weeding into your routine, you can guarantee a tidy garden all year round.
3. Hedge maintenance
Spring is the ideal time to tidy up overgrown hedges and shrubs, as regular trimming ensures healthy growth and reduces pest issues. Using a tool like the Gtech Lightweight Hedge Trimmer can help to keep your greenery looking sharp and neat.
4. Composting
Starting a compost heap this spring is a pro-active, cost-effective way to harness nutritious soil for your plants and recycle organic waste that will benefit the overall health of your greenery and foliage.
5. Look after your lawn
Lawn care is hugely important in assuring your garden stays looking beautiful. Make sure to rake away any excess leaves and trim your grass routinely.
'Bleach is a harsh chemical that can damage natural stone tiles by slowly stripping the surface which can then permanently mark or weaken your tiles.
'And even through porcelain paving tiles are extremely durable, it's still best to avoid using chemical cleaners containing ammonia, bleach or acids, that can slowly fade tile and grout colour.
As a result, you should always test a small area first and wear protective clothing when using it.

'My neighbour had unhinged reaction when I told her she couldn't use my garden'

A woman has been left gobsmacked after her neighbour knocked on her door and demanded to be allowed to use her garden for an unexpected reason - and now things are very awkward A woman was left gobsmacked when her neighbour demanded to use her garden for an "unhinged" reason - and she wasn't too happy after being turned down. Keeping on good terms with neighbours is often key to a tranquil home environment. It can be quite the ordeal to navigate tricky or uncomfortable encounters with those next door, as they're rather difficult to avoid. Most people yearn for an uncomplicated life devoid of strife or squabbles. ‌ One lady has confessed she's at her wits' end with her neighbour following a bold request to let her use her charming garden for her dog's birthday party. ‌ The lady lives in a "townhouse complex where each unit has a small private backyard". These petite patches are "fenced off" and "clearly designated". Taking to Reddit's popular Entitled People forum, the lady said that her garden is "nothing fancy" but she has decked it out with "some patio furniture, a grill", and "a bit of garden space" that she's "been working on". Her neighbour came knocking a few weeks back, asking if she could hold her dog, Muffin's, birthday do in her garden. When the woman asked her why she couldn't just use her own outdoor space, the neighbour "rolled her eyes" and retorted: "Well, yours is nicer. You actually have grass. Ours is all patchy and ugly, and the pictures won't come out cute." Despite the woman's "polite" refusal, the neighbour took umbrage and stormed off in a rage. The woman said: "She responds with, 'Wow. It's not even a big deal. It's just a couple hours. Don't you want to help make a dog happy?' ‌ "She got super huffy, muttered something about 'some [people] are not just kind to pets ' and stormed off. "And the best part? That Saturday, she actually had the party in the shared front lawn area with balloons, dog party hats, music, and all. I'm just waiting for the HOA fallout now." Over in the comments section, Reddit users were quick to weigh in with their opinions. One user advised: "Liability issue if you let her. Always go with legal terms when saying no". ‌ The woman thanked them, saying: "Oh I thought as much, thank you." Another user mentioned: "Not to mention the mess you'd have to clean up." Which prompted another response of: "And THAT'S why your neighbour wants her dog's party at your place! ‌ "She'll be 'too tired' to clean up and she KNOWS how you are about your garden. She's flycasting with guilt-trip bait and hoping you'll snap at the hook." One savvy Redditor proposed she charge her neighbour and advised her to say: "Well, the fee for using my yard is £X. You'll also have to sign a waiver that I will not be held responsible if anyone gets hurt. You'll also have to clean up any mess made by humans and dogs." In agreement, another comment read: "[Better] yet, 'you also have to show proof of event insurance.' That way if anything did happen, you'd be covered." And another added: "What an unhinged demand!!!!" Others have cast doubt on the woman's account, suggesting it was concocted for Reddit karma and upvotes.

The garden went from muddy sparse patches to luscious green grass in a matter of weeks. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 2 A homeowner shared her impressive lawn transformation over six weeks Credit: Facebook The woman shared a before and after comparison of her lawn in a post on the Facebook group Garden Makeover Ideas On A Budget. She revealed that the dramatic transformation happened just six weeks apart. "Can enjoy the garden again now," she told her fellow gardening enthusiasts. "Wow, that looks amazing to have achieved that in a relatively short period of time, I'm a very new gardener and seeing this has given me even more encouragement," said one person. "Depressing to amazing. What different colour actually makes to the eye, mind, and mood," agreed another commenter. "Absolutely fantastic!. Such a good feeling to fix a lawn to this. Very well done!" commended a third Facebook user. Another person described the switch up as "incredible" while someone else summed it up as "goals". The original poster was also plagued with requests to "spill the secrets". She revealed that she used "grass seed, lots of it" to tackle her sparse lawn. The Facebook user explained that the experience was a learning process, as she tried a variety of brands before settling on a favourite. My garden was a mud patch - I transformed it to a lush, thick lawn with a Poundland buy & I'm shocked at the difference "Gro-Sure Smart Lawn Seed Fast Start, was probably the best one," she shared. You can pick up a kilo box of Gro-Sure Smart Lawn Seed Fast Start from B&Q for just £10. The green-fingered pro went on to say that she used "a bit of topsoil" alongside compost. "Our soil is pure clay so it's a battle, we scarified it to within an inch of its life," she continued. "It was essentially a lawn made entirely of weeds and moss." Seasonal lawn care schedule Lawn care varies from season to season, with some tasks helping to encourage growth and root development whilst others help maintain the soil quality. Claire Baglin, landscaping category manager from Toolstation has shared lawn care tasks and tips for each season: Spring (March, April, May) Start to mow the grass bi-weekly in March when the soil and air temperatures typically reach above 6C. Fertilise the lawn for the first time during March using some quick-release fertiliser that is rich in nitrogen to help promote shoot growth. Scarify the lawn for the first time during April to remove any built-up moss or thatch that can accumulate throughout the winter. Aerate the lawn during April by spiking holes into the soil surface. This will help to loosen the soil and encourage growth. Overseeding can also be carried out throughout April to patch up any thin or bare areas of grass. Summer (June, July, August) From June start to cut your grass once a week - apart from in periods of extreme heat and droughts. Increase the cutting height to protect the lawn from any possible droughts. In June make sure to treat the lawn for any weeds - this can either be manual removal for individual weeds or using weed killer for larger clusters. During July and August make sure to water the lawn at least once a week by giving it a soak for 5-10 minutes. Autumn (September, October, November) From September reduce the lawn mowing frequency back to once every two weeks and conduct the last mow of the year in November. Fertilise the lawn for a second time during October using a slow-release fertiliser that is rich in phosphorous and potassium to strengthen the lawn. Throughout October and November remove any fallen leaves and other debris from the lawn surface. Winter (December, January, February) From December to the end of February leave the lawn alone. Grass typically does not grow in the colder winter temperatures. Winter is the perfect time of the year to conduct any lawnmower maintenance including checking over the blades and filters. She revealed that she even mixed in "a bit of sand" to the mix at one point. "Once down, we then walked all over it to compact it down, then watered a couple of times a day in the hot weather, less if cloudy," she said. "We also bought Miracle Gro liquid lawn food fast green and a spray attachment for the hose pipe and have fed it once a week." You can pick up a litre bottle of Miracle-Gro Fast Green Liquid Fertiliser for just £8.50 from B&Q. The Facebook user further emphasised how she has no experience with lawns. "Honestly I just wing it and hope for the best, we don't really know what we're doing half the time," she admitted.

"Small, high-powered magnetic products can easily be swallowed and, when ingested, have the potential to cause serious internal injuries within the gastrointestinal tract. "The product also requires improvement to marking, labelling and documentation." It comes after a children's swimming float was also urgently recalled over fears it could cause serious injury or even drowning. The Joycat Baby Float, sold on Amazon, has been flagged as a safety risk. Authorities found that its attachable canopy could lift the float from the water in windy conditions, putting children in danger. The alert was issued in the UK following a border inspection. The blue and yellow sea-themed swim seat, intended for babies and toddlers, poses a 'serious risk of injuries', according to the Product Safety Report. 'Contaminated' fish sold at Aldi across 3 states recalled as 'life threatening' ingredient found – check date on label If the float becomes airborne, a child could be thrown out and suffer an impact injury or drown. The Office for Product Safety and Standards also issued a recall for the Get Set Play Jumbo Balloon Pumper over concerns that the product could shatter. The red and blue plastic water balloon pumpers are available at shops like B&Q and The Works. It contains 300 multi-coloured balloons which can be inflated using the pumper. However, the product design failed to include a mechanism to prevent it becoming over-pressurised. Smyths have also pulled a magic tricks box from the shelves after a chocking hazard saw it fail to meet safety requirements.
