From Executive Producer Gary Sinise and Director Jake Rademacher, BROTHERS AFTER WAR Will Be Released In Regal Cinemas Across The Country on February 28
LOS ANGELES, Feb. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Vet Tix and Regal Cinemas announced a $150,000 donation from the Gary Sinise Foundation (GSF), designated for veterans, first responders, and their families to see the upcoming documentary BROTHERS AFTER WAR for free - the largest donation for a film in Vet Tix history and part of GSF's ongoing commitment to addressing the mental health needs of our service members.
From Executive Producer Gary Sinise, BROTHERS AFTER WAR takes us on a journey as director Jake Rademacher reconnects with his two brothers, elite soldiers who served during the War in Iraq and are now processing their combat experiences. Intercutting footage from both past and present, the story leads us on an insightful, humorous, and moving journey as these warfighters come to terms with the loss of their fellow soldiers, the invisible wounds they wrestle with, and their journey to ultimately find hope and meaning in their lives.
The Veteran Tickets Foundation, also known as Vet Tix, works with theaters, major sports teams, leagues, promoters, organizations, companies, venues, and everyday event ticket holders to provide free and discounted tickets to current serving military members, veterans, first responders, and their families. Through donations, Vet Tix and 1st Tix provide service members, veterans, first responders and their families special experiences to thank them for their service and sacrifice.
This film is a reminder of the enormous weight veterans and service members continue to carry, even after their time in the military.
'Since ancient times, societies have used art to come together and communicate difficult truths,' said BROTHERS AFTER WAR filmmaker Jake Rademacher. 'The Gary Sinise Foundation's incredible generosity will enable veterans to gather at our cultural town squares and create community through this modern art form. In this moment of communion with our Defenders and their families, we want to create a national movement to increase awareness, improve communication, and help our veterans thrive.'
'BROTHERS AFTER WAR documents several veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and opens a door to communication and healing for our nation's veterans and service members,' said Actor and Humanitarian Gary Sinise. 'Arts and Entertainment have always provided such an important vehicle for our veterans to connect in deep, meaningful ways. I saw this firsthand more than 40 years ago when I directed the Vietnam War-inspired play Tracers at Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre, where we introduced free 'Vets Nights' for any veteran who wished to attend. After launching the Gary Sinise Foundation in 2011, we expanded that tradition by bringing the arts and the veterans' community together around the country. With this donation, we hope to continue the good work this film is already inspiring by creating an opportunity for as many of our defenders to see the film as possible. We are grateful to Vet Tix and Regal for helping us to continue to focus the national conversation on the needs of our veterans, and for supporting those who have sacrificed so much for us.'
'BROTHERS AFTER WAR is that rare documentary that combines cinematic scope with intimate, emotional moments of human connection. Jake and Gary created a beautiful film that we believe deserves to be seen on the big screen. We are delighted to be working with Vet Tix and the Gary Sinise Foundation to open up our theaters for this extraordinary film as part of our ongoing support for our nation's veterans,' stated Richard Grover, Head of Marketing at Regal.
'Wounds of war, both mental and physical, can stay with our veterans for the rest of their lives. BROTHERS AFTER WAR not only shines light on these stories but offers solutions and hope. It's an incredible story of transition, resilience, and love. Enabling veterans to see this film on a national scale is a perfect encapsulation of our mission, and we want to thank the Gary Sinise Foundation for their generosity in making it possible on such a large scale,' said Michael A. Focareto III, Vet Tix Founder, CEO, and U.S. Navy veteran.

Miley Cyrus and Boyfriend Maxx Morando Take Couple Coordinating to a Whole New Level with Matching Hairstyles
Miley Cyrus and boyfriend Maxx Morando went out for a glamorous date night in New York City on June 5 While the couple didn't coordinate their ensembles, they did have matching hairstyles Cyrus and Morando have been dating since 2021Miley Cyrus and her boyfriend, Maxx Morando, are hair twins. The "Flowers" singer, 32, was spotted having a fashionable night out with her musician boyfriend, 26, in New York City, on Thursday, June 5. The couple was spotted leaving the Four Seasons Hotel after Cyrus' private event, then they set off for the rest of their evening. For their date night, Cyrus wore a brown satin, fitted cone bra dress with black criss-cross lace details down the front of the dress, as well as the hips. The hem of the dress featured a long fringe that swayed as the singer walked. Morando kept his look classic for the evening, wearing an all black suit consisting of a jacket, matching shirt and black pants. For a casual touch, the musician kept a couple of buttons loose to expose a white crew neck undershirt. Though their outfits were distinct, the couple matched when it came to the way they styled their hair. Cyrus styled her brunette hair with blonde highlights in carefree curls that cascaded down her back. She also styled her now grown out baby bangs into curls that were flipped away from her face, and folded in seamlessly into the rest of her hair. Never miss a story — sign up for to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. Morando, meanwhile, kept his overgrown mullet and bangs styled as he normally does — he let his natural curls pop, with a few pieces laying less than perfectly for a chic touch. Cyrus' curls paired with Morando's curls led to a matching hair moment that recalled the likes of David and Victoria Beckham's twinning hair styles in the 2000s, or Gwyneth Paltrow and Brad Pitt in the '90s. Cyrus and Morando's last major matching hair moment came in March, when the couple walked the red carpet at the 97th annual Oscars on March 2. is now available in the Apple App Store! Download it now for the most binge-worthy celeb content, exclusive video clips, astrology updates and more! For the glamorous red carpet date night, Cyrus wore a custom Alexander McQueen black halter dress with sequined and sheer elements. Though Cyrus would debut baby bangs later that night, she started off the evening with old Hollywood-inspired curls. Morando similarly kept his mullet styled in his natural curls, though his were wispier and highlighted with blonde — a near-direct match to Cyrus's blonde highlights for the evening. 'Apocalypse Now' doc 'Hearts of Darkness' returning to theaters
1 of 6 | Eleanor Coppola, seen with husband Francis Ford Coppola at the 2022 Academy Awards in Los Angeles, oo-directed the documentary "Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse." File Photo by Jim Ruymen/UPI | License Photo June 6 (UPI) -- Rialto Pictures announced Friday it will re-release the documentary Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse in theaters this summer. The film will screen for two weeks at the Film Forum in New York beginning July 4 and play nationally after. Hearts of Darkness follows Eleanor Coppola as she documents her husband, Francis Ford Coppola, during the making of his 1979 film Apocalypse Now. Filming in the Philippines went awry, including star Martin Sheen having a heart attack and Marlon Brando's tardiness delaying production. Behind-the-scenes directors Eleanor Coppola, Fax Bahr and George Hickenlooper first assembled their footage in the Hearts of Darkness documentary in 1991. The trio won Emmys for Directing and Editing after the film premiered on Showtime. American Zoetrope and Roundabout Entertainment restored the documentary in 4K for this re-release. Eleanor Coppola died in 2024 prior to the release of Francis' latest film, Megalopolis, which he dedicated "For My Beloved Wife Eleanor." Megalopolis was an idea Francis had while making Apocalypse Now and ultimately self-financed it, selling many of his vineyards for the film's budget. Apocalypse Now was adapted from the Joseph Conrad novel Heart of Darkness. Francis Ford Coppola and John Milius adapted the book to take place during the Vietnam War. Captain Willard (Sheen) is assigned to go upriver and assassinate rogue Colonel Kurtz (Brando), encountering several Vietnam War obstacles along the way. Robert Duvall, Frederic Forrest, Sam Bottoms, Laurence Fishburne, Dennis Hopper, Scott Glenn, Colleen Camp, Cynthia Wood, Linda Carpenter and Harrison Ford also star. Duvall won Best Actor and cinematographer Vittorio Storaro won an Oscar. It was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay. Francis Ford Coppola released an extended cut, Apocalypse Now: Redux in 2001 and a third version, Apocalypse Now: The Final Cut removing some of the Redux scenes, in 2019.

2 ‘Gilmore Girls' actors to join Brighton's Stars Hollow weekend in September
Fans, dust off your flannels and fast-talk your way to Brighton this fall: Two beloved 'Gilmore Girls' stars are coming to town. Destination Stars Hollow, the immersive fan event that transforms Brighton's Main Street into the cozy, fictional town from the hit early 2000s TV show, returns in September — and this year, it's bringing some familiar faces. Scott Patterson, best known for his role as the grumpy-but-lovable diner owner Luke Danes, will appear at the event on Saturday, Sept. 20. Also joining the festivities that day is Michigan native Rose Abdoo, who played two fan-favorite characters — the quirky mechanic named Gypsy and, in the Netflix revival 'A Year in the Life,' the no-nonsense maid Berta. Abdoo was born in Detroit and raised in Southfield. She is also a Michigan State University alum. Meet-and-greet tickets with the actors will go on sale closer to the event, with an official date to be announced. VIP ticket holders will receive first access to those limited tickets. More: 'Gilmore Girls' fan event returns to Brighton for 3 days this fall The 2024 debut of Destination Stars Hollow drew more than 40,000 fans from across Michigan and as far away as Hawaii, New York and Florida, putting Brighton — a small city in Livingston County — in a national spotlight. Created by Brighton residents and 'Gilmore Girls' superfans Kathleen London and Laura Boote, the event is designed to boost local businesses while offering fans a chance to step into their favorite show. Nearly 40 downtown storefronts will be transformed into Stars Hollow-inspired destinations, complete with themed décor and curated experiences. This year, the festival will stretch over three days instead of one. It kicks off Friday, Sept. 19, with a $150 VIP package that includes early access to Main Street shopping, a themed tote bag filled with show-inspired merchandise, first access to dinner reservations, and priority for meet-and-greet tickets. The free-to-attend festivities run from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, and Sunday, Sept. 21., featuring a wide range of themed shopping stores, photo ops, activities, food and more. According to organizers, weekend events will include easter egg hunts, dance-a-thons, knit-a-thons, Chilton-style fashion shows, a look-alike contest and even a Poe Society homage — all designed to immerse attendees in the 'Gilmore Girls' universe.
