Thief caught stealing $10k of Legos from Pierce County toy store. Watch the police bust

A 32-year-old man was arrested Thursday in University Place for allegedly stealing more than $10,000 worth of Legos from the Sasquatch Bricks Toy Store in February.
Surveillance footage showed a man police later identified as Caylan Guerra pulling up to the toy store around 5 a.m. February 13 in a U-Haul truck before breaking in and filling the truck with stolen merchandise.
After a months-long investigation that included surveillance of a nearby storage facility and tips from the public, deputies established probable cause for a warrant at a storage unit one mile away from the toy store, said public information officer deputy Carly Cappetto Saturday.
When deputies arrived to serve the warrant on the storage unit they found Guerra asleep in his vehicle outside the unit, police said. A video published on Facebook by the Sheriff's Department Friday showed officers banging on Guerra's window and telling him to exit the vehicle on March 20. After officers broke one of his windows Guerra opened the door and was shoved to the ground and handcuffed before he was read his rights, according to the video and police reports.
Upon opening the storage unit police found most of the stolen Legos, in addition to two bags of Fentanyl and two firearms (one of which was reported stolen), according to police reports. Guerra was also found to have 'a large amount of methamphetamine' and 'several debit cards … that did not belong to him' on his person.
Guerra is currently in custody and has been charged with Possession of Stolen Property 1st Degree, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a Control Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Obstructing Law Enforcement Officers.
Guerra has pleaded not guilty and had an arraignment Friday, Cappetto said. His next hearing is scheduled for April 15, according to court records.
Cappetto said Guerra has an extensive history of property crimes, drug crimes and weapons violations and described him as a 'career criminal' with a re-offending streak. Court records show Guerra has been previously convicted of driving while his license was suspended or revoked, trafficking stolen property, criminal mischief with a deadly weapon and controlled substance crimes.
'Here is a HUGE shoutout to the University Place Investigator for piecing all this together and finishing this Lego set,' the Sheriff's Department wrote on Facebook. 'Hopefully this suspect will stay in prison this time.'
