Westlife are planning a new album and some "special shows" to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
The Flying Without Wings boy band - made up of Shane Filan, Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily - have teased some exciting projects to mark the milestone, but they have confirmed Mark isn't able to be part of the plans.
In a statement on X, they wrote: "To our amazing fans, we would like to take this opportunity to share some very important news with you all.
"We are thrilled to announce the launch of our 25th Anniversary celebrations...
"On the 9th February 2001 we kicked off our first ever world tour at the Newcastle Arena. Who would have thought we would still be here 25 years later?
"We have so many exciting plans to share with you very soon which will include new music, an album, special shows and many, many more surprises along the way."
Mark stepped back from the group in February 2024 due to health issues, and he is not ready to rejoin them at this time.
The band continued: "Sadly, Mark will be unable to join the celebrations.
"We hope we can join us back on stage when he is ready and able. He sends his love and positivity to you all as always."
All four members of Westlife - which originally featured Brian McFadden before he life after six years in 2004 - "can't quite believe" their longevity.
The statement continued: "The four of us can't quite believe it's been 25 years.
"We could only have dreamt of the continued love and loyalty you have consistently shown us around the world.
"We are so lucky to have all of you with us and we can't wait to celebrate together!
"Happy 25th To Us All!"
In late 2022, Mark was struck down with pneumonia and had to pull out of the band's Wild Dreams tour, although he would later return early the next year.
In February 2024, he opened up about further health complications and surgeries - including time in the ICU - and announced he was "temporarily" stepping back.
He said at the time: "It is with the upmost level of regret that I must now temporarily stand down from all Westlife touring until a time that I have had the chance to fully recover from the turbulent journey I have been through as an individual.
"I wish things could be different!"
The band added in their own statement: "We would like to take this opportunity to send our brother, best friend and fellow band-mate, Mark so many well wishes as he takes the necessary time he needs to recover."

Fears for Westlife star, not seen for a year, as group announce reunion without him

A beloved pop star will miss his group's 25th anniversary as fears grow for his wellbeing. The singer was last seen a year ago and will be 'unable to join the celebrations'. Westlife formed in 1998, and kicked off their first ever world tour, Where Dreams Come True Tour, at the Newcastle Arena on February 9, 2001. The Irish lads – Brian McFadden, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Shane Filan – went on to release 12 studio albums and had a huge 14 number one UK hit singles. Brian left in 2004. Now to mark the special tour milestone, the remaining boyband members have launched their 25th anniversary celebrations. But Kian, Nicky, and Shane will have to celebrate without Mark. It's been a year since Mark's last interaction with fans, where he posted a video saying 'Happy pride month everybody.' In February 28, 2024, Mark announced he had to pull out of ALL shows to 'fully recover' after undergoing surgery. The star said the 'physical demands' of the concerts and extensive travel proved 'too much' for him and so he would 'temporarily stand down from all Westlife touring'. The dad-of-one opened up on his secret surgery hell, telling fans how he's gone under the knife for the fourth time since 2020 after medics found a 'very large incisional hernia'. During those four years, the singer battled pneumonia as well as sepsis – a crippling infection that can be fatal. Fellow Westlife band members Nicky, Shane and Kian broke their silence at the time to reveal they 'completely respect' dad-of-one Mark's decision. Now they have shared that Mark will be missing from the tour again as they posted a statement to Instagram Titled Westlife 25, it read: 'To our amazing fans, 'We would like to take this opportunity to share some very important news with you all. 'We are thrilled to announce the launch of our 25th Anniversary celebrations …' It continued: 'Who would have thought we would still be here 25 years later? 'We have so many exciting plans to share with you very soon which will include new music, an album, special shows and many, many more surprises along the way.' The notice then added: 'Sadly, Mark will be unable to join the celebrations. 'We hope he can join us back on stage when he is ready and able. 'He sends his love and positivity to you all as always. 'The four of us can't quite believe it's been 25 years. 'We could only have dreamt of the continued love and loyalty you have consistently with shown us around the world. 'We are so lucky to have all of you with us and we can't wait to celebrate together.' In the comments, fans were devastated with one person writing: 'Love you guys … BUT, westlife isn't westlife without Mark. 3 just don't cut it.' A second said: 'I don't know whether to cry with happiness that you're finally coming back for your 25th year anniv or sob at the fact that mark won't be joining you to celebrate it. I'm so overwhelmed …' A third penned: 'Sending a huge love to @markusmoments we really hope that he is OK! 'We love you Mark! And amazing news boys! We can't wait for all these new things come on our way! Much love!' Someone else echoed: 'What happened to Mark? 'I remember reading that he was going to have surgery, but that was about two years ago. I'll be hoping and praying for his recovery!'

Kerry Katona 'in agony' after emergency dental procedure

Kerry Katona has been "in agony" after undergoing emergency dental surgery. The former Atomic Kitten star has revealed she's been suffering over the last week after some "lumps" in her jaw were found to be an infection. She wrote in her new! magazine column: "I've been in a lot of pain this week - it's been so tough. "The lumps in my jaw I wrote about last week turned out to be an infection, so I had to get three root canal procedures at once. "I've been in agony ever since and just wanted to stay in bed - but with work so hectic right now, I can't do that." She thanked Wish Dental for doing an "amazing" job taking care of her, while revealing the painful aftermath of the procedures. She added: "I'm filming [UK reality show] 'Celebs Go Dating' and having to act cheery when I'm in agony. "I just want to get back to being the Kerry everyone wants. Fingers crossed for some recovery." Meanwhile Kerry, 44, recently said she wants to have another baby because she feels "lonely". Kerry - who has daughters Molly Marie, 23, and Lilly-Sue, 22, with first husband, former Westlife band member Brian McFadden, Heidi, 18, and Max, 16, with second husband Mark Croft, and daughter Dylan-Jorge, 10, with the late George Kay - admitted: "I am feeling really broody - I want to have another baby. I'm just lonely at the moment. "I'm single and all of my kids are growing up - DJ starts high school this year and she'll be the last one to fly the nest. "When I'm at home, my son Max is always in his room, and my girls are all growing up." Kerry has been looking into her options to have a baby if she decides to go for it without a man in her life. The star - who split from her fiancé, fitness trainer Ryan Mahoney, 36, earlier this year - said: "Sperm donor? Why not! Or maybe I'd just find a younger man with strong swimmers."
