A family online is leveraging their connections for a newborn's needs in an act of all-hands-on-deck parenting.
An Instagram reel posted by friends Megan Stortz and Tiffany Paskas has offered a glimpse into the unique support system of Paskas, a new mother who is being helped by her husband, her husband's ex-wife and her new husband. Paskas and Stortz, both 30, spoke to Newsweek about the viral moment of co-parenting beyond societal expectations.
"Blended so hard sometimes she needs both my baby daddies...My husband [and] my ex," Stortz captioned the video. "Every dad is on duty here." The video captures Paskas' baby being lovingly attended to by her husband, Michael, and Michael's ex-wife's current husband, Travis.

This scene illustrates the blended family thoughtfully created by the pair of now-best friends Paskas and Stortz.
"We are a blended family that came about when Michael and Megan divorced," Paskas explained. Initially navigating the complexities of co-parenting, Stortz reached out to Paskas, seeking a healthier path forward. This outreach blossomed into a genuine friendship between the two women.
Through this friendship, both husbands on each side ended up creating a friendship and all four adults found a healthier way to communicate for the sake of coparenting—as well as including their children from the new relationships into the mix.
They said this inclusive approach shapes their daily lives, with regular gatherings for their sons' sports activities, shared family outings and casual meetups that allow all the children to connect. Michael and Stortz have two sons from their marriage, the oldest of which the four share custody of—and Paskas now cherishes the arrival of her daughter, her "rainbow baby," a joyous moment previously covered by Newsweek after Paskas' long journey with fertility issues.
While co-parenting with four people naturally presents differences in opinion, the friends say the rewards of their blended family are significant.
"The biggest joy is having such a big family to support and love our kids, so our kids truly have a village as well as having each other without needing to be bonded by blood," Paskas said.
The Instagram reel, with both father figures present and caring, communicates the strength and unity of their blended family—and through sharing their story, they said they hope to offer a hopeful perspective on life after divorce.
"We aren't trying to glamorous divorce, but trying to show people one of the positive possibilities that can come from a divorce," Stortz said. "It isn't always easy, and it isn't always perfect, but even the little benefits make it all worth the effort we put in."

SNAP Benefits Expanded in Two States: What To Know

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Federal authorities have expanded emergency food assistance for residents affected by recent severe weather in Kentucky, while, in New Mexico, older SNAP recipients with disabilities will get one-off extra benefits this month. Why It Matters Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, commonly known as food stamps, are provided to low- and no-income families across the U.S. to help them with the cost of groceries. Across both states, just over 1 million people receive food assistance. What To Know Kentucky In Kentucky, those who already receive food stamps will benefit from a temporary relaxation of rules. It means they will be able to buy hot meals with their payments in certain counties impacted by recent severe weather. Nearly 20 people died in the Bluegrass state and hundreds of properties and buildings were damaged in storms that swept across the Midwest in May. The USDA has confirmed the relaxation of SNAP restrictions is in place "in order to increase access to food after power outages as a result of severe storms." Under regular rules in Kentucky and throughout most U.S. states, SNAP benefits can be used to purchase ingredients, prepared cold snacks and nonalcoholic beverages. But through to July 2, residents of 26 counties who get SNAP payments will be able to buy preprepared warm meals from participating retailers. File photo: A SNAP sign is seen in a storefront window. The extra food assistance has automatically been added to 29,444 eligible individuals' accounts as of June 3. What People Are Saying Kyra Ochoa, deputy cabinet secretary for the New Mexico Health Care Authority, said in a statement: "Through this collaboration, we provided critical additional food support for important members of our communities. Using state general funds to create extra benefits for seniors and people with disabilities is a great example of how strong interdepartmental partnerships can better serve New Mexicans in need." Emily Kaltenbach, cabinet secretary at the Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) in New Mexico, said: "We are proud to once again partner with HCA to bring additional relief to New Mexico's older adults and adults with disabilities. This boost reflects our shared commitment to ensuring New Mexicans have access to the nutritious food they need." What Happens Next The D-SNAP expansion will be in place in Kentucky until July 2. In New Mexico, anyone with questions about the supplemental benefit can contact the Health Care Authority at 1-800-283-4465.

Huge blow as Chelsea star ruled out of Euro 2025

Chelsea defender Millie Bright has ruled herself out of England's Euro 2025 squad for this summer's tournament. Bright's decision comes ahead of Sarina Wiegman's squad announcement, with the 31-year-old admitting she is not 'able to give 100%' physically or mentally' to the Lionesses. England begin their Euro 2025 campaign against France on July 5th. 'This is one of the hardest decisions I've ever had to make, but after careful thought and discussions with my team, I have decided to withdraw from selection for the England squad ahead of Euro 2025,' Bright said in an Instagram post. Advertisement 'Football has given me so much, and representing my country has always been my greatest honour. My pride and ego tells me to go but I think the team and the fans deserve more. Right now, I'm not able to give 100 per cent mentally or physically.' Bright's announcement follows the decisions of Mary Earps and Fran Kirby to retire from international duty. Earps has called time on her career with the Lionesses after being replaced as number one goalkeeper. Wiegman's squad will now be absent of several leaders from the squad's that won the European Championship in 2022 and reached the World Cup final in 2023. Bright captained the side at that latter tournament in the absence of injured Arsenal star Leah Williamson. The former has won 88 caps for the national team.
